Great bench but didn't come with assembly directions.

Great bench for the money, but I had no idea how to put it up from the folded position. I had to look it up on YouTube. Once you know how to fold it up and unfold it, it's easy.

Man o man this bench is AWESOME!!! thank goodness i paid no mind to some of the nevative reviews here!!! First of all i have been training pretty hardcore since my late teens and still going ( 50 years) and still go heavy on most compound moves ( squats, bench, deadlifts, military presses e.t.c) sometimes im straight up only doing powerlifting other only bodybuilding style lifting so i either go to the gym or train at home since i have a squat rack, 475 pounds of free weights at home, olympic bar, you name it i got it at home but the gym is still the gym, i have a joe weider bench i boughf in 1995 ( 25 years) and still going strong but its time to upgrade to a foldable to have extra space in my apartment, i researched lots of benches ( foldable) and was going to purchase 1 of 3 more expensive ones i had on the cart but my gut feeling said dude go with the most inexpensive one since you dont even have to adjust one single thing like all the others and boy im glad i did. I didnt have to do a single thing, just open box, take off plastic and ready to go!! The steel feels heavy duty not cheap, my bencg came very well made and no wobbling at all!## coincidence it was chest day when it arrived so i skipped the gym and trained at home with my brother who was gonna meet me at the gym. Bench press i went up to 315 pounds ( NO PROBLEM NO WOBBLE) MY brother went up 365 on bench ( NO PROBLEM NO WOBBLE) i weigh 205 pounds solid and my brother 225 solid muscle. I got 285 on the incline and my brother 300 on the incline...we had no issue if we wanted to go heavier at home....this bench for the price and man folds so small u can put it anywhere, the box looked so small.when it arrived cause it was folded and very light, i didnt even look at the instruction book, it was soooo easy how to figure everything out. All everyone talks about is incline, flat and decline on reviews but this bench is superb...it gets into a perfect seated position for military presses or seated dumbell curls e.t.c, some of the other foldable benches only start at incline and dont get into the seated position like this one. Anyway take it from me who has been training since the 80s...for a home or garage gym set up this bench is awesome and at a great price and you dont have to assemble one single thing, UNHEARD OFF!!! im sure this will last me for years just like the non folding weider one i had....HIGHLY RECOMMEND for home or small.apartment with limited space or just for a regular garage or house type gym...i dont see any sense with going with more expensive ones, too many people here on amazon complain about every single.thing they buy!!#

Pretty great - only a couple small complaints

Overall, I really like this bench, especially for the price. It's sturdy enough for home workouts and provides a variety of positions for various workouts. Only a couple things I think could be improved: 1) While sturdy enough, this bench isn't as stable as one you would find in your local gym, for example. It does wobble ever so slightly, and being that it's not very heavy/massive, it can move/shift when doing some exercises. But that is rare. 2) It relies on a system of pull in-and-out pins (I think 8 in total) to make adjustments and positioning. These pins are small and not fixed via spring or attached in anyway to the bench, meaning they are easy to lose and small children can find them exciting, pull them out, and try to chew on them. Could present a choking hazard. 3) Because there are no springs or counterweights with this bench, you have to be careful where you put your fingers as it is easy to pinch yourself when you're pulling out the pins to make adjustments as the bench may flop one way or the other. 4) The gap between the seat and the back is quite big, and I find it uncomfortable to do decline bench press or decline sit ups as my lower spine hits the metal in that gap. This can be solved by placing a small rolled towel or the included lumbar support piece in the gap, but it's still less than ideal. Some of the ones I've used in the gym have a much smaller gap and are more comfortable in this regard. Other than those small issues, it's a great addition to a home gym for an affordable price.

Decent Bench For The Price - Poor Quality Control - Will Not Lay Flat

This isn't a bad bench for the money if everything works. It has good features at this price point including multiple backrest settings with the ladder adjustment, adjustable seat, and it will fit users over 6 feet tall. The upholstery is alright, and it seems stable and sturdy enough. However, the bench I purchased would not lay even close to flat at the 0 degree setting. The front part of the seat is approximately 15.5" from the floor while the back part is over 17". The same issue with the backrest with the front about 15.5" and the back 18"' (see photo). At that point I didn't even bother to measure the other backrest settings to see if they were accurate. I prefer the ladder effect to set the backrest but this isn't as smooth as it should be. A good ladder adjustment only requires you lift the backrest and place the adjustment leg into the next setting but this one has two extra steps. First a pin has to be removed from one setting to the next. Not that big a deal but you also can't just slide it into place. Each weld has a small rise on the frame so if you just slide the bar into the next slot it feels like it is set, but it isn't. You still have to raise the ladder by hand to make sure it slides in under the pin. This is a beginners bench but could be a good choice if you are just trying to find out if you need one. I would not feel comfortable hitting this for more than 300 pounds and it didn't seem that it would be that durable.

very bad product. Cannot believe nail sticking out of support cushion

I thought to unpack this item before wrapping it for Christmas present. I am so glad I did. the support cushion has a random sharp nail poking out through the vinyl. Such a terrible hazard. Just lucky it was sticking out, as if not it could have been a serious injury. i wanted to make contact with the supplier and give them the chance to replace this cushion. but simply couldn't find where to contact them. so hence this bad review. I never give bad reviews unless i feel very badly about a purchase.
