Still deciding...
For context, I've used the Kinto 800mL for about 3 years now. I bought it in Japan before it was sold in the US. I love the minimalist look and color of that bottle. It's pretty banged up now, and still looks cool. My only complaint is that the nozzle has gotten pretty loud lately when I sip it, so there's no way to drink silently at this point. I am someone who always has a water bottle with me, and I'm particular about user experience with water bottle design. There's just too much out there to not be. I love this Owala bottle right off the bat. Glad I found it in all white too. The 32oz just barely tucks into the cup holder in my car, which is great. I like how the "lock" loop doubles as handle, because I often carry my bottle by hand on walks and at work. We'll see how long the hinge lasts. It seems pretty beefy, but a 32oz insulated metal bottle full of water swinging around should take a toll after a while. For a bottle that's too large to fit in most cup holders, its probably going to be on it's side and tumbling around more than a smaller one, so having a way to secure it closed makes sense as a feature. I also love the size of the opening, and straw/chug design. Unlike the straw on a Hydroflask, it's very easy to sip from this one and get a LOT of water quickly with minimal effort. I HATE the big mouth opening of most bottles. It's so weird to me that the "big mouth" feature is branded as a feature. It's just annoying. I can chug the entire bottle fast, if I want, with no risk of spilling the water on my face with the Owala design. This is simple, but I like the shape of the bottle. I dont like when brands try to get cute with contouring the bottle shape, or fluting the neck (which only makes the water stream more chaotic when you tip to drink). Having a uniform shape is just more practical for drinking from and storing the bottle. My only [potential] complaints: 1. The "lock" loop is something I find myself constantly messing with, and always have to make sure it's pushed out of the way when I go to sip the bottle. Minor complaint, but it does force me to use 2 hands in situations where I didnt previously have to with my Kinto. In 90% of my use cases, I find myself wishing the bottle had a static finger loop mounted behind the spout that would stay out of the way. I think I would prefer giving up the locking feature for this. 2. The hinge of the lock loops also feels like something that will become a weak point and eventually break or swivel loosely, and make the experience of using the bottle worse. The divot around the spout where it tucks also makes cleaning the bottle more complicated--again, another reason the bottle would be improved by excluding it. 3. The bottom that flips the cap open to drink is pretty stiff and hard to press if you arent hitting it at the perfect angle. I'm sure this is a good thing for avoiding unwanted opening/spilling, but has made using the bottle a little uncomfortable. Maybe it'll break in over time. 4. The rubberized surface around the spout seems to smudge and stain easily, and it's hard to wipe stuff off of it. Not sure if there's any practical design purpose to that section being rubberized. If there is, I haven't noticed one.

This is it!
This is the water bottle that will have you writing reviews. First, it doesn’t leak. It spent the afternoon rolling around in the bottom of my messenger bag, and it still didn’t leak. Second, the built in straw works. As in its a pleasure to drink from it. You don’t have to use a lot of effort, you are able to pull up a steady amount of water and you can drink ALL of the water from the bottle through the straw. The 24 ounce just fits in the cup holder of my 2012 RAV4. I drink room temperature water, so I can’t speak to the quality of keeping liquid cold but other reviews have addressed that. What I can say is I had no idea I could love a water bottle. This is now a must have in my life.

Almost perfect bottle
I was a MIIR and Hydroflask user but found neither completely met my needs. The MIIR was fine but I wanted a bottle with a spout and straw and for both, the MIIR always leaked in my bag. Wasted water and got my stuff all wet. The Hydroflask was fine but super clunky and heavy. It was also difficult to hold and I have small hands. Finally decided to try this bottle after seeing it in Whole Foods for months. The colors in store were a little too vibrant for my taste but the white ish one seemed good. For one, the bottle is great. It isn’t too heavy and it absolutely does NOT leak. Big win! The lid with the hybrid straw and spout is really incredible. If the bottle is too heavy, you can sip with the straw. If you want more water, you can chug! It is awkward at first but you get over it. I didn’t think I would like the “handle” but it’s not bad. The only thing I don’t like about the lid is the shape — it makes your bottle really tall and looks like a cone. The only thing I don’t like about the bottle is the lid. Aside from its look, it is hard to clean and dust etc get stuck in the hinge area and it’s not easy to remove. It is also kinda squishy I guess, because it’s been dented on the silicone/plastic part from being in my bag. It can’t be fixed and it’s just aesthetic but it kinda sucks. Overall, definitely recommend! And get the hybrid lid! It’s the best.

My prized possession
I can’t recommend this water bottle enough. It goes everywhere with me. The sip feature is perfect. The chug option is perfect. Every water bottle I’ve had before would end up leaking, but not this one. I’m not super careful with it, I toss it in my car, I toss it around the gym. Still no issues. It has a little carrying handle that is so convenient. Absolutely love it. Will be buying other colors.

LOVE IT
The best stainless steel water bottle! The weight and size was perfect and I love the the two choices of sipping and chugging. Keeps my water cold for ages and doesn't get dirty quickly.

This is my favorite water bottle!
I love this water bottle so much! It keeps my water cold for so long, it’s easy to carry, it locks the lid with the handle so there’s no chance of it spilling, and you can sip from it with the straw or pour it into your mouth. It is too wide to fit into a regular cup holder, so I just throw it on the floor when I’m driving and it never spills or leaks. It’s the only water bottle I use now. Also it’s super easy to clean since the canister is wide.

Literal design perfection
I have spent so much money trying to find the right bottle. I settled for a very expensive Camel Back and after a year of WFH, the straw mechanism started to get faulty and the silicone mouthpiece started to yellow despite me cleaning it daily. I just stopped using it. I can't believe how much Owala got right with this bottle, its clear they've researched this product type properly because they've solved every problem that majority of bottles have. From the materials they used, the shape and material of the mouthpiece, simple branding and the inclusion of a built in sip straw it's just perfect. I know this might sound over the top but a good bottle promotes drinking more water which in turn promotes good health and that's very important. So happy I found this. Bought another one for my wife 10min after this arrived.

Not That Great
It is great to use this bottle, but there is a lot of downside as-well. It leaks very easy and it doesn’t hold the cold that well. My bag is full of water at the first day i use it, but it was nice to drink from this bottle. I think if you don’t travel a lot and just leave the bottle at one place, this bottle would be nice but it is not for me

The best water bottle
I got the 32 oz and thought it was the perfect size. My favourite part about this is the sipping spout. The straw size for the sipping spout is a decent size so you get a good quench. For those who have trouble getting your daily water intake this really helped! The price is a bit steep for a water bottle, however I felt the quality is really good. No regrets on this purchase!

Great purchase that I'll use everyday
Bought this as I saw it on Tik Tok and now use it everyday. Having the sip and drink option is really handy and it is absolutely leak proof, just make sure you don't leave the lid open and tip it over! Colour is great and it really does keep m drinks cold. Worth the price I paid and it came only 3-4 days after ordering despite Amazon saying it would come in a month. Highly recommend!

Love the design but turned mouldy very quickly.
I love the design of the bottle and how it looks, it’s very functional. However, for the price I was expecting greater quality. The bottle started to become mouldy very quickly and the brand unfortunately don’t sell these silicone seals on their own so I would have to buy a whole new bottle which isn’t worth the money. Not impressed.
