Solid hearing protection, but...

The hearing protection is very good, no complaints there. The problem lies in the significant sound clipping that occurs when a shot does go off. Almost impossible to follow a conversation at the range. My Howard Leight’s don't have nearly the same issue. That said, these fit my noggin better than the Howard Leights, so the sound reduction is an improvement.

Works well, auto shut off not as advertised

Had a chance to use these at the range while shooting a 12 gauge shotgun. Reaction time to noise, and overall suppression is good. Head band is a little tight, but not uncomfortable. Overall happy with the purchase. Biggest complaint is a lack of clarity on the advertised auto shut of feature. The Walker's website lists these as having an "Auto shut off 2/4/6 hours" and on the same page lists "Auto shut off 4 hours". The Amazon listing is "the Digital Razor features an auto shut off at 2, 4, and 6 hour marks" There is no downloadable manual from the Walker's site for this product. The provided documentation is microscopic and lists the auto shut off as "4 hours" (see picture). Not the end of the world, but I was expecting a product with configurable auto shut off.

Works as designed.

Works well. The wearer can hear voices or other sounds and the earmuffs still block impact noise.

First impression is pretty good.

My first impression is an odd one of these earmuffs. I got them out of the package (Walker, please stop with the plastic blister packs) and set them up. First thing I found rather odd is when I clapped instead of lowering the sound of the clap, it outright muted the audio. Couldn't hear the TV or anything else for that split second. Second is that I can't find on the package, or the paper instructions how to setup the auto turn off feature.

These muffs did not make the cut!

Right out of the box the muffs are sharp looking, and the padding makes them very comfy when I put them on. Although, that is where the good stops and things start to go sour. When sharp loud sounds occur, the muffs don't cut the sound down to a specific level, they shut out the sound altogether. This makes it difficult to have a conversation while on the range because others words are continuously being cut off to a point where I cannot hear them. Also another negative is when I take the muffler off my head there is a high-pitched squelching that occurs that hurts the ears because of its pitch and loudness. I don't quite understand why a manufacturer would put a product on the market with these issues. As I have read in other posts I am not the only one encountering such things. Unfortunately, I am going to send them back for a refund.

Work Well

I bought these to use at the range and they do the job quite well. The only thing I find tricky, is sometimes it is hard to tell if you have turned them on or not, the way the switch works, but that is just a minor hiccup on an otherwise well made set of ear protectors. I like them so much I bought my granddaughter her own set of Walker Game Ears for when she comes shooting with me.
