Sleek design, not very loud.
I love the design, but it’s not very loud. I did not tighten the screw too tight, as that can make it ring less. Sometimes multiple strikes deadens the ringing. It’s fine for a cruiser at slower speeds in public places, but would not want this on my commuter, road or mtb that I ride at higher speeds.

Low profile bell is beautiful, fragile, and not as loud as other models. Luxe is much less fragile.
The best reason to buy this bell is for aesthetic purposes and because you can easily position it where you need it on your handlebar. The first one I bought broke after a year so I upgraded to the Luxe Oi. The Original Oi bell has a spring holding the hammer head. This spring is a compression spring about the quality you would find in a ball-point pen. Eventually, even with light use, it will fail and become unreliable. The luxe uses a hammer with what looks like a tension spring. This holds the hammer in alignment and should work for much longer. If you like the deisgn then buy the Luxe. The other issue is loudness. It's not a quiet bell but its no louder than an average bike bell. The larger Oi seems to ring more loudly at a lower frequency and the smaller Oi luxe I have rings less loudly at a higher frequency. I wouldn't expect people to hear it more than 20 ft away from you. On a hybrid bike doing my light commute, this is acceptable. On a road bike doing 20 mph, this bell won't give pedestrians enough time to react. I doubt any bell solution is appropriate for that scenario. I have an Incredibell and that is significantly louder (maybe 30 ft) but I think the preferable solution is an electric bike horn if you have serious needs. The bell is suspended on compression springs. I don't think this will fail with use but I could rip or deform the head of the bell easily with my fingers. THis is not a likely point of failure due to its low profile. Still, I can see how an MTB user might want it to be even more robust. But the fact a bell is functionally a thin piece of vibrating metal means most bicycle bells I've seen are fragile. I've bought two now. I like that it's compact but if you have explicit needs then you should look elsewhere. Don't kid yourself; No bell is going to be heard by pedestrians much less cars on rush-hour city streets. Either learn to bellow or get a horn.

Works great, but it's been a bigger deal to set up than expected
I bought the Luxe version in brass, and really like the look and sound. It's worked for me on the trail, at least. Really my only issue was that there's a single screw that you use to attach the bell. When it's cranked down too tight the bell doesn't ding. So on my initial installation I loosened it a couple turns. Apparently it was too much and I eventually lost the screw. Customer service was helpful and is sending me a replacement, but a quick trip to Home Depot got me some spare M3 screws. The original was 6mm long, and for just over a buck I got a couple each that are 8mm and 10mm long. The 8mm ones seem to work well.

Coolest design for bike bell
No other bell is like this one, this one is the coolest looking, easy to use bike bell. It is a little quiet, which can be a benefit if you want to alert someone that you're coming but you don't want to startle them or be rude. Pros: cool design, easy to use, unique, great looking. Cons: a little quiet, expensive.

Makes a beautifully elegant tone that persists for a long time.
I got the brass one. One surprise was that striking the ringer multiple times still results in essentially one long single ring. The second and subsequent strikes just seem to bump the volume back up, but they don't really sound like a separate "ding". Other bells make a distinct "ding" with each strike, and on the trail I generally ring multiple times so I'll have to see how it goes in practice on the trail. On the other hand, the generated tone is very nice and loud and pure and persists for a long time before it fades off. It's unusual and I like it.

Cool looking but too quiet.
This bell has a cool design and is quite sleek. But unfortunately it just isn't loud enough to catch anyones attention and most of the time doesn't even ding, it just mutes itself.

Music to my e bike...
What a lovely sounding bell. First caught my eye with it's simple design. Not incredibly difficult to install, worth the work for the tone this piece of art sings out. Made me think of only car horns had such a ring we might be smiling more often.

Perfekte Bikeclock.
