Nice light

Awesome light, poor hardware selection.

This light light is awesome for cost, However a few drawbacks are the mounting screws and hardware. This only comes with one length of bolt, but two different screw heads. ( Flathead &philips ) As you adjust the bolts to mount the light fixture the hardware bracket bends making it very very difficult to line the bolts up with the holes. Another drawback it the small bolts that hold both the top of the light on and the light to the wall. The nuts come lose from the bolt as it's two piece construction..this makes it easy to lose while install/ changing bulbs. I'd recommend glueing the nuts to the bolts heads.

Unremarkable, but does the job.

No real problems with this lamp, but it's nothing to get too excited about. Things I don't like about it that I wish I'd known: * The cord is not replaceable. I installed mine near an outlet (rather than a junction box), had hoped to replace the included wiring with a pre-made plug/wire from some other appliance. Not possible. I had to put on one of those clunky DIY plug ends instead. Not as nice looking. Also, not possible to ground the unit correctly with this scheme (included wiring only has two conductors). * The bottom of the lamp is open. You can get your hand in there to change the bulb with no disassembly. Lots of light gets cast down as a result. Not what I needed in my application, but I was able to rig up a reflector below the bulb.

wrong instructions

This is a hanging lamp. The instructions were for a wall lamp. Additionally the wires are not black and white both are brown. There is a very very small ridge on one of the brown wires. That is suppose to indicate neutral or white. I installed it and it looks as expected and works. However if you are going to install this yourself and have never installed a hanging lamp before and you get the wrong instructions as I did, it could be a real challenge to install

After 10 months, developed a short

great looking post light but experienced short in post light after 10 months. Update. I listened to my electrician who said it was the post light. Knowing a little about these things, I thought maybe it was the light sensor. I installed the original one and now everything is working fine! No short! This is a fine post light and the light shines like a prism! We love it and the wall lights on either side of the garage!

Faded after just a couple years

The dark bronze finish faded to an awful color after only a couple years, so that it no longer matches the post. Will have to replace again.

Pretty good quality

The lamp certainly adds a nice touch to my refurbished lamp post. Installation was simple and the quality and finish is very good. Unbelievable fast delivery as well. Thank you Amazon!

They're fine for the money.

The light fixture feels thin to the touch but they look fine. Installed the first one with no issues but the second fixture could not be installed with machine screws supplied as the body that fits over the post did not have the screw holes threaded. So, I installed the fixture by applying white sealant on the outer surface of the lamp post to secure it in place.

White colour fades to yellowy off-white after just 9 months

Design looks amazing. Relatively solid feeling too. Was quite happy until after a while we started wondering if they were white or off-white. After less than a year now, I can say for sure that it has faded to a nowhere-near-as-nice off-white colour, and we'll have to replace them with something else which is just a waste. Probably don't buy this if you're looking at the white colour at least.

Looks beautiful and classic

I really like the textured water glass, a little bit more transparent than I expected but still very pretty. We got this to replace an old post lamp in our front yard and this one was perfect! I think we are going to get the matching wall sconces next.

Very delicate

Very simple and easy to install, not as complicated as expected. There are a total of 6 lamp posts in the backyard. After this installation, the backyard is more beautiful.
