You should know this before you buy, because you won't regret it!

I am delighted to compose this review of the NJ Nelson Bar Stool. This company truly stands out for its exceptional customer service. In a culture where many companies have outsourced American jobs overseas and offer poor customer support, Nathan James Furniture is a breath of fresh air! I recently placed a call to them directly regarding this bar stool (to which I love btw) and expressed concern about the seat cushion and how it had become somewhat flat after just a year of regular use. Though out of my warranty period, they made an exception for me. I did not expect in a million years to phone this company and get this level of support, and most importantly- from an AMERICAN WORKER. Yes, this company is based right here in the US. Based on this expierience, I can certainly say this place goes above and beyond to ensure their customers' happiness! Their customer care advocates are understanding, caring, and genuinely interested in resolving any issues their customers may face. What impressed me the most is that their customer support is based right here in the United States, demonstrating their commitment to supporting American workers. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new furniture. Not only will you receive a beautiful, high-quality product, but you'll also have the assurance of exceptional customer support. By choosing Nathan James Furniture, you're also supporting American workers, which is a fantastic bonus. Overall top-notch company that I wholeheartedly endorse!

Outstanding customer service

I Purchased 4 stools ( two sets of 2) for my newly remodeled kitchen. The first set of stools my husband assembled were perfect, very sturdy and looked great. However the second set had cosmetic marks, small tear and on one of the stools the faux leather looked like it hadn’t been pushed in properly on the seat back. I emailed customer service and within an hour I had a reply from Cameron. Few more emails later (and photos) and I had a new set of stools being shipped to me. Amazing Customer Service! This is how it should be. I wouldn’t hesitate in buying any Nathan James furniture in the future, they were OUTSTANDING.

Lovely counter stools

Just remodel my kitchen and these counter stools look so nice. They are great quality and look expensive. Price is very reasonable! Super comfortable. Looks great in my new kitchen!

Best customer service I've ever had!

First lets talk about these bar stools. I have 3 kids and just remodeled my kitchen. I picked these stools because they looked comfy, clean and easy to clean. Here are the reasons why I love them. 1. They clean up good - The seat wipes down and the dust, spills and food are easy to wipe off. They also don't have a lot of bars to wipe off. 2. They don't scratch my new floors. They have sliders on the bottom so they don't scratch my floors and they are easy to move to sweep under. They are light weight as well and so it makes it easy to clean around them. 3. They are comfortable. - The padded seat and back support are soft and much better than the metal or wood alternatives. I also like the cross bar on the bottom to rest my feet. 4. The height - They don't block the view! I hated that all the other back supported stools blocked the view of my new kitchen. The tops of these stools are near even with my counter top. When I sit on them my knees don't hit the underside of the counter. They are a perfect fit. Assembly : The assembly was pretty simple. The instructions were entertaining and funny as well. I enjoyed it and my 7 year old helped me put them together. Read the instructions and do it in the order provided or else the stool will be a little off. Sturdiness: These are light weight and can tip when children try to climb up the sides. This has only happened on my fearless 2 year old once as she is used to much heavier stools. However when it did tip on her, it is light enough that she wouldn't get seriously hurt. I appreciated that. Comfort: As previously stated, the stools are padded, they have a small back support that is just enough and the foot rest is in a good spot. Overall these are pretty comfy. After a couple hours though, I would prefer my couch. Service: When I first received the bar stools one of them had a ripped cushion. I e-mailed Nathan James with the contact info on the assembly packet. I sent them some pics of the torn seat and they immediately sent me a replacement set. I honestly was just expecting a new pad but the sent me brand new chairs. I also received follow up e-mails and every e-mail I sent had response times within the same day to make sure I was in the loop. First they reached out to me on the day they were shipped, another on the day that I was supposed to receive the delivery and a couple days later to follow up to see if the new stools were a good replacement and if I had any more concerns. I was so impressed that I bought 2 more stools. In addition, 2 weeks later I received a box of chocolates. I opened it up and it was an apology for the inconvenience! I have never had follow up like this in my entire life! It was absolutely mind blowing. Thank you Nathan James for a great product and a great experience.

Quality customer service probably the best!!!

Ppl are complaining about quality? Understandable the quality was an issue but Nathan James has taken action and fixed the issues i know first hand i purchased 5 of these when they came out at a premium price point. One of the stools failed on me after 1 year I contacted Amazon they put me through directly to Nathan James it was replaced in a matter of days!!! Last week another stool failed i contact customer Service directly again via email i spoke to Layla a Customer service rep and she had a new stool out to me in 3 days. Leyla informed me they redesigned the stools to a new configuration its depicted in the photos i added they are 100000% improved. I own a lot of NJ furniture sold because of how amazing their customer service is and how responsive they are. Id anybody has any issue i urge you to contact them this company stand’s behind their products like no other brand of furniture company I’ve ever dealt with 100% will continue to purchase their products and deal with them.

Nice looking once assembled.

Chipped and scratched on arrival, but didn’t really affect the use or overall look when put together. The legs are a dark grey, but look really nice.

Badly made cheap chairs that cost over $200 each!

I bought 2 boxes (4 chairs) for my new kitchen but did not get a chance to assemble them for several weeks due to family emergency. When I finally got around to assembling them, the instructions were fine but the pieces did not fit well with the frame. I assembled the first chair by myself without any problem and everything fit properly. The second chair from the same box, however, the frame was welded crocked so the pieces did not fit. My husband and son used all their force to push the frame tighter so I could screw in the pieces in the dedicated holes, we did it, but the 4 legs of the chair do not sit flat on the floor. The screws supplied for the bottom of the chair legs are still not long enough to make the one short leg level with the other legs. WORST CHAIRS I EVERY PURCHASED, AND NOW MY 30 DAY WARRANTY IS OVER AND I HAVE 2 MORE CHAIRS IN AN UPOPENED BOX!

Beautiful stools and very comfortable!

Stools are perfect! As described, comes with the instructions, very easy to assemble, one of them got a tiny issue and I can say costumer service is amazing, they give us a solution right away, I am very happy with the service. I recommend!

Just ordered 2 of these, easy to assemble and seems sturdy so far. The cushion is firm but comfortable.
