Excellent product
RockTape is terrific for lending light support to injured body parts. I've used other brands in the past, but RockTape is more forgiving and sticks better. Yes, you will probably need to use the yank-and-shriek method for removing the tape because, if you've applied it correctly, it probably won't come off on it's own. IMO, pulling it off isn't a big deal at all unless a lot of body hair is involved. The tape can stay stuck for weeks, but it should be removed after one week to allow the skin to breathe. Pulling it off after it's gotten completely wet in the shower works best. Otherwise, after bathing just blot it lightly to remove excess moisture. I sometimes use a hair dryer for quicker drying. Some key points for successful application: 1) Clean the area with rubbing alcohol. 2) Measure the length you will need and cut the tape an inch or so shorter than the area you plan to cover. 3) Round the corners of the tape. 4) Tear the paper backing in half vertically, roughly in the middle of the strip you've cut (the fabric will not tear), and turn the cut edges of the paper back to expose several inches of fabric. These cut edges are where you will hold onto the tape as you apply it. Try to avoid getting your fingers on the adhesive. 5) Place the exposed piece of fabric in about the middle of the area you want to tape, stretching it slightly (up to about 25%). Continue to work your way to the end of the strip, stretching and attaching one end at a time. Remove paper backing as you go. Do NOT stretch the last couple of inches at either end of the tape. Application of any kinesiology tape gets easier after you've done it a few times. Meanwhile, not to worry if you get a few small wrinkles during the application. There are a number of tutorials available online for correct application methods. The RockTape box also includes a handy guide for taping most areas of the body in order to derive the most benefit. In some cases, as with a meniscus tear, applying a double strip of tape horizontally over the meniscus, along with a single strip vertically on either side of the kneecap, seems to work best. (I learned this from the Knee Guru online.) The tape is a bit pricey, but you won't waste nearly as much of it during the learning process as you would with the cheap stuff.

Keeping my husband out of surgery
This product is amazing. My husband has a bad ankle that is the result of high school sports injuries, bad falls, and constant rolling. The ligaments are extremely lose and he had to wear an ankle brace everyday. Physical therapy and the brace could only do so much and he still had a lot of pain but after using the rock tape the pain is miniscule to nonexistent. He says he can feel his ankle getting stronger and he does not need to wear the brace all the time anymore. I have also used it to help with my sciatica. It is amazing how one piece of tape can stop the pain running down my leg instantly. I was skeptical about this kind of tape when I first purchased it but I figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying it and I am glad I did. Pro tip: don't just rip this tape off when you are done/switching it out it is stronger than it seems. You could end up with a rash or a sore by taking it off wrong. Use some oil to gently lift the edges. We use coconut oil but I heard baby oil or olive oil works too.

Did not slip, slide or come off while running a marathon!
I have had a lot of pain in my inner thigh for about 4 weeks and even with rest it hasn't healed, however, I was scheduled to run the NYC marathon and I wasn't going to pass up on the opportunity. I watched a video on YouTube to figure out how to attach two strips from the groin down to the knee. I put on the tape at about 6.30am. The marathon started at 12pm. The tape stayed in place all day and I ran 26.2 miles with just a very mild pain. The race went very well and I had no issues. Three days later and the tape is still on my leg! Even after showers. I'm too nervous to rip it off as I think it's going to sting! My leg actually feels a lot better so when this does eventually come off, if my leg is still sore I will definitely be putting more on. Two thumbs up!!

Great tape for water
I have loved this tape. I teach water aerobics and it really supports my knee. It sticks well and will stay on for several days and through several classes before I feel like taking it off b/c it is getting a bit ragged looking. Only downside I have had is that it needs to be put on about an hour beforehand so it has a chance to really stick on. If not, then it comes off in the water pretty easy. I have also lost a bit of skin trying to take it off dry so I take it off right after class while it is still really wet.

It sticks pretty well
Tips Make sure the area you are putting on is CLEAN and DRY. I use this for my knee so I would rub alcohol on my knee as well. After cleaning the area. Just don’t add this tape to an open wound. After I add the tape to my knee I make sure to rub it down a few times with my hand. I make sure I put this on. at LEAST 1 hour before lifting. The longer the better. If you manage to get this to stick throughout the day then it really get stuck to your skin for a few days. The first time I tried it, it started peeling. The second time it stayed a few days then I force pulled it off. It wasn’t lifting or bothering me. Another tip is if it’s peeling then just cut that peel part off quickly so it doesn’t keep peeling. I also round the edge of each tape I cut. I try over lapping the corner of the tape so the bottom part is less likely to lift up. It isn’t too stretchy and it works for what I need it to. I prefer this over KT Tape and STRENGTH tape. Cons You have to be very careful when putting it on. If it peels before the first few hours it’s not going to last for the next few days
