no travel case

helped knee pain

this helped my knee pain. i couldn't leave it on longer than a couple of days because it would make me itch. i didn't see that there was a rash, but the itchiness prompted me to remove it. i cut it into 8" strips and folded the strips in half. i removed the backing from half the strip and placed the center of the tape down first then placed half the tape where i wanted before removing the other half of the backing and placing the rest of the tape. initially i removed all the backing and taped my knee, but the placement wasn't right and when i adjusted the tape it lost the stickiness and began to roll so i had to remove it.

Love it

I really love this stuff. My knee is pretty unstable at times when I'm doing high impact sports and my doctor suggested that I put this around my knee to help with the stability. If I don't use this I have knee pains that last for days and require me to elevate my leg every night while I sleep. The great thing about this tape is that it not only helps stabilize my knee but if I forget to use it and I put it on, it helps with elevating the pain I get that night. The longest I've had this tape on my knee without it peeling off would be a week, however, I usually switch it out every 3 days or so otherwise my skin gets really dry and weird if I have it on for more than that. Side note: don't put lotion on your skin near the area where you'll be using the product (even if it's a few hours before). I learned the hard way and the tape came off during one of my dodgeball games. Also, cutting and rounding the tape around the edges helps with it staying on for longer. I tried not cutting it once and it came off after 2 days.

No Jiu-Jitsu proof

I finally gave in and purchased the more expensive brand to tape some injured joints for Jiu-Jitsu. Everything else lasted about 3 minutes before peeling off so I thought that the super sticky waterproof Rick tape would be effective but I am disappointed. It tends to work fine on large joints for daily wear but the friction during Jiu-Jitsu training causes the edges to peel off and not even make it through a 2-hour training session. This is especially true for small joints like fingers. The only way to make it stay in place is to wrap my whole finger in Jiu-Jitsu finger tape on TOP of the Rock tape. The Roxk tape aligns the joints perfectly with just enough pull to get the positioning needed to protect the injured joint but it just will NOT stay on during sweaty intense training when posting on my hand, gripping lapels, or the constant friction on the mat with the continuous position changes in Jiu-Jitsu. It is fine for low key wear but NOT Jiu-Jitsu proof.

???? From a Physical Therapist DPT who has been using Rock Tape on patients for past 8 years!

I usually put kinesiology tape on my clients , at least 5-10 people a day. Working in an orthopedic outpatient PT clinic is the perfect place to test this stuff out. First off this brand sticks on peoples skin the best and rarely cause an allergy. Second, the highly water proof tape they came out with is definitely better than the the regular Rock tape in regard to not falling off after a shower or two. Overall I have found Rock Tape brand is the best of all the brand names which I have figured out by experimenting. The reg rock tape works great except that is only good for 24-48 hours. The water proof is at least 48 hours. I also use the tape on my self for chronic injuries and there is no question that applying this tape correctly after working on a muscle or tendon with hands on PT will help people function a little better with less pain . To find quick easy way to tape visit this guy Jonathan Gibbions’s YouTube channel everything he does with the tape produces some type of positive result. Worst case your skin doesn’t like it and gets a little irritated and you wash and put lotion on it and it will be fine.

Excellent Product!

I’ve had 3 knee replacements on the same knee…needless to say it is very weak and unstable, luckily I had an excellent physical therapist and he taught me how to properly tape my knee for support snd pain relief. This tape is by far the very best on the market. I don’t have to wear my brace daily now. There are times that the tape and brace are necessary but that’s on rare occasions. If I could give this product 10 Stars ⭐️ across the board I would.

Pain relief and sticks great and AWESOME - updated review

One week ago, I started physical therapy and mentioned I have osteoarthritis in both knees but the right hurt regularly and the left not often. The therapist put this Kinesiology tape on. I thought he was trying to duct tape me. ???? Well, I felt no pain in my knee after. A little when it rained last weekend, but not as bad as it used to. I purchased this roll and one in beige in pre-cut strips. I plan on getting more. My orthopedist called it hocus pocus but cortisone didn’t work (and I found I was allergic to it). So, since I don’t want to take too many OTC medications, this is a nice alternative. I was warned that because of the adhesive, if I had any itching etc to remove it. Similar to medical tape allergy reactions. I don’t have that so no issue. So, those who have had sensitive reactions to medical tape this may not be for you. Also, cut the ends in a circle/arch. Keeps tape from getting rubbed against fabric and coming off possibly. I found after 5 days came Off easily. Glad I found this

It works- like other kinesiology tapes- premium price tag is questionable

I needed a kinesiology tape for my mom. Because the pain was on the back of thumb, I wanted to make sure that the tape has premium glue and highly water resistant because hand gets exposed to water frequently. Rock tape is the one I chose. Paid $31.21 for the tape. So far, the water resistance and glue experience has been below expectations. I have not used the gel that comes with it and I cannot comment on therapeutic properties as I am not a professional physio. My expectations were same as any other regular customer. It should stick, support and be water resistant. There are K tapes out there with similar or lesser price and gives three times more length of tape role. I deducted 1 star for the tape not living up to glue and water resistance quality. 1 more star was deducted for not being value for money. Good quality

Bought this for my husband. It comes with instructions that are fairly easy to follow. I think if you know what you are doing this product is great but I don’t know what I am doing.

Holy crow! Great stuff!

This stuff helped heal my very persistent tendinitis. I’ve suffered with it for months and in two weeks this stuff had be back to 90%. A month and was healed. I blame rock tape entirely.
