Easy to install & practical
I needed a basket to carry groceries without a big fuss and something easy to install. This works great on my E bike and could be loaded up without issues or getting in my way. It doesn’t rattle or cause any problems when riding. I would recommend

My basket arrived yesterday and I took it out for a spin this morning. I have to deliver my daughter's violin to school--and pick it up again--four days a week. It's a full size violin and too long to fit in her basket (or any regular basket), especially with her backpack. I wanted to stop driving the two miles to school twice a day. I didn't have high hopes, because we've tried a lot of other solutions, and the violin has to be held very securely. But I needed baskets anyway for my new e-bike, so it was worth a try. OMG. What's really great about this basket is that it's deep, and the long handles hold the basket really securely to the rack. The rack that came on my bike also has metal guards that come down and protect the rear wheel parts, so it's perfect for a panier style cargo solution. I was worried about it feeling lopsided with weight on only one side, but I didn't notice that at all. The violin fits like the rack was made for it. Although about 60% of the length sticks out the top, it is held so securely by the length and the narrow 9" width that there is no chance of it falling out or even jostling around within the basket. The basket is super cute, and pops right off to carry into a store. It even fits on my front handlebars, so I think I might get a couple more, and one for my daughter so she can maybe carry her own violin. My only quibble is that I ordered it in purple and the basket that came is definitely not purple. It's a light lavender. So, not as dignified as I was hoping. But still very useful.

SO perfect!
I can't even express how much I love these baskets (I got two, one for each side of my back rack.) The quality is amazing! The wires are much thicker than you'd think, and seem to have several coats of paint on them. I am now doing all my grocery shopping on my bike, and these are perfect! You'd be amazed how much they can hold. I bring them into the store and just load the groceries straight into them, the place on my bike rack. I get home and just lift the handles and bring them upstairs to my apartment. So easy! VERY happy with my purchase!

Got the basket in yesterday and took it for a spin today. I was stressing myself out before taking it out of the box, wondering if it would fit on my bike, would I need to jury rig it somehow, should I have bought a more expensive pannier with better features? So far I'm very pleased with this one. It's a sturdy metal wire basket with a handle, sort of like a bucket. It looks new, without any rust or obvious marks. I like the rubber piece that makes the handle easier to carry. The basket fits great on my bike without any modifications or zipties. It's very simple--just use the two hooks to hang the basket on your rear bike rack. No extra hardware to install. I rode to the grocery store and even rode off a low curb (slowly) and the basket sat tight instead of falling off as I feared. That said, I pretty much ride my bike like an old lady around town. Those more energetic may want to invest in zipties or bungees to better secure the basket. My folding bike has 20" wheels and the basket fits well on either side of the bike and is very easy to remove and replace. For me this convenience factor is a huge plus. Also the lower center of gravity makes it easier to ride with heavier loads so I'm glad I didn't get a handlebar basket. The basket didn't interfere with my riding although I did notice at low gears my heel does brush against it sometimes. I guess if my foot on the pedal is parallel to the ground, it's more likely to hit the basket. If my foot is angled forward, it doesn't touch the basket at all. I mainly bought the basket to make hauling groceries easier, and this definitely fits the bill. It easily fit a half-gallon of milk, some oranges and bananas, and was only about half full. I wouldn't call it large though -- it probably fits a single full plastic grocery bag, and seems too small for a full paper bag. Since the wires of the basket have large gaps, I just use a canvas bag to place everything in. I love being able to just toss keys, garage door opener, wallet, etc into the basket. I was getting tired of messing with my irritating bike bags that attach/detach with velco. This is much simpler.

Best Way To Carry Groceries
I received the basket today and took it to Publix for a test run. On the way, when the basket was empty there was a little rattling when I went over bumps but on the way back it didn't budge at all. I fit a gallon of milk, a half gallon of juice, 2 bags of frozen vegetables and a large plastic bottle of peanut flour into it. What I like about it is that I can take it in the store with me, it comes on and off the rear rack very quickly. I normally come home with 3 full grocery bags hanging off each handlebar but today I only had one bag on each side plus the basket. I estimate it takes the place of 2 and a half full plastic grocery bags. I got lucky with this because I happened to get one marked as used, which wasn't used aside from a smashed box, so someone must have bought it and just not liked it so returned it. So I paid 10 dollars less than the listed price. I plan to get a second one for the other side after I save up for it. My experience has been that people will give bad looks if they think you're poor. So if you have loads of bags on the handlebars, or even a plain square black basket. But if you get a fancy colorful basket or two like these ones, people think you're being whimsical and/or retro. Like you're riding through the streets of France in 1956. It's a much better reaction to get from the car driving and walking/jogging people. Trust me. Don't hesitate to buy one of these over a generic square black one. If you are a man, and don't want to look whimsical, just get a darker color. It'll still look a lot classier than the alternative.

Sturdy and great quality? Large enough to to go grocery shopping. Had to return because would not fit between rack and electric battery.
