great basket for a child's bike
I love this wire basket! Just know that it's SMALL, and has an 'I love my bike' sticker on the front - obviously it's made for small bikes. My son is 5 and has a 16" bike with training wheels. This basket is perfect!! He can fit his small water bottle, baggie of snacks, and some small cars. It's great for bike rides, especially if he wants to collect leaves or other things. The basket wasn't super secure when putting it over the bars. The hooks are kinda ridiculous, because the basket can easily pop off and move around while riding. I wanted to make sure it didn't move every time he rode his bike or went over a bump. I used a zip tie, weaved it through the bottom of the basket, and wrapped it around the vertical bar of the bike. It's now tight and not moving around. I would suggest this for anyone that buys the basket. My son is so happy to have a 'boy basket' that is sturdy. I put some cool stickers to cover up the 'I love my bike' sticker on the front of the basket. The 'I love my bike' sticker can peel right off.

Came damaged....but daughter is happy...
So I originally had this same basket in my shopping cart and wasn’t fast enough to purchase it for only $11 which it is worth. I got lucky enough to find this one but it was $6 more plus shipping so all together $12 more than the original one. It took forever to come and when it did it already had the plastic coating coming off of both the hooks that go over the handle bars. Little disappointing. It is very lightweight so perfect for my child’s small bike. Will need to zip tie it to the frame so it doesn’t move around while riding. All in all my daughter is happy with it because it holds her piggy. :)

Nice try, poor execution
The basket feels sturdy until you look at how it is made/assembled. -not sure how long it will last? Bottom of basket *shown in pic* has sharp edges, metal circle & ball sticker are NOT centered on the basket front. Thank goodness my son didn't care too much.

Very small but that's what I wanted (NB the cm not inches in measurements!)
Yes it's very small but that's just what I wanted for the front of my new adult trike that has a big basket in the back. (Please see my related review at http://www.amazon.com/review/R11Y1G2VLJ4WM6/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00AFEO99Y&nodeID=3375251&store=sporting-goods) The basket arrived a bit out of whack, but was easily readjusted. Since I only put my fanny pack, bike lock and cell phone in it while riding, it's perfect for my purposes. I did secure it further with some wire twists, since the plastic loop ties that came with it were so tightly attached to the basket that they were totally useless! (Somebody in the factory should explain to the workers/packers what these ties are for... NOT to secure the basket to the plastic bag!) Oh, the "I *heart* my bike" decal is removable. Thank goodness!

Daughter loves it!
This basket is tough enough to handle my daughter. I purchased this basket after my 6 year old daughter had a bike crash on a gravel road and literally crushed her woven bike basket. The other basket was new and well made but didn't stand up to typical kids (or my kids). She (and my other daughter) use it on the bike and off, piling it with stones, dolls, water bottles and just 'stuff' that kids typically collect and play with. It suprisingly didn't even bend or lose it's shape with the abuse. Although it doesn't have straps, it does seem to stay on the bike without a problem even while camping and on rougher roads. I wish I had seen this basket prior to purchasing the other as it would have saved me a few bucks although I'm happy to have found it second time around. She has not crashed (yet) with this one but it looks like it would bend right back into shape. Her only comment is that she wishes it were a prettier color. (I will just spray paint it.)

Perfect size for 4 year old's balance bike
This basket is perfect - just the right size, and with it being mesh it's not blocking my daughter's view of what is in front of her. Obviously if she were to fill it up then it would block the view, but she only has put sticks and her headband in there so far (so many sticks though, always sticks). It fit easily over the foam thing covering her front handle bar, and since it's foam it keeps this basket secure even without zip ties. She almost immediately removed the sticker, and since it was askew and easy to remove that was no issue. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Gee, it's really tiny!
This basket is really TINY! It really is only good for a very small child's bike. I guess the emblem on the front should give it away, but the picture looks larger than the actual basket. I wish it gave the measurements in inches, this would be easier for you to figure out. But don't buy this for an adult or even teenager, you can't fit much in this thing. Maybe a small stuffed animal, that's it! I do like the painted mesh metal and hooks that should fit any small child's bike, since it leaves room for a bell and the brake lever if there is one. My basket came dented in two places, the bottom and the rear side. This is a cute, sturdy basket for a youth's bike or even a trike. Yeah, it's that small. I mean small.

Perfect for my little explorer!
I'm not sure why people didn't understand that this is for a CHILD'S bike (it says youth)... my 3 year old son has a 12 inch bike and this basket is perfect! Most stores only sell baskets with pink and purple flowers... I was delighted to find this. It's just the right size for his juice, toy cars and other items he likes to pick up while riding. I also like that he can take it off and on! This is for Easter and I know he is going to love it! ! I took pictures to help others understand the size better. (I know I was concerned after reading reviews) I put a juice, a lunchable and 7 cars in this basket and there's still room. Hope this review is helpful to others.

A solid basket for young children
I bought this for a child's bike and it is the perfect size. I wish there was no cheesy decal/logo but if your child cannot read it, it's not a big deal. I think it bothers me more than it bothers him. He loves the basket and it is big enough for 2 water bottles. Very handy and I do not have to carry their heavy water bottles. The basket is strong and sturdy. No issues with the quality or material.

Cute! Perfect for kids!
Cute for the price! Covered up the sticker (that was kind of scratched up) with another bubbly unicorn sticker I found at the dollar store. Great for a vintage bike! I zip tied the top so it wouldn’t fall off.

Damaged product
Got it with the paint already flaking off. Sticker was easy to remove though. I'm going to have to respray it. I dont have time to return it's for my kids birthday bike.
