Excellent multimeter with great value though not perfect.

This is a wonderful meter that appears to be well made. So far mine has been accurate and reliable. Multimeters can be difficult to pick out and purchase. I purchased this for bench use and it's great for that. It has good protection for general purpose use and it's simple to use. Multimeters vary wildly, and range from horribly cheap and nearly useless to extremely costly and over done. This Etepon model has a very good balance of value to features. There is a magnetic strap on the back of the case for hanging on conduit and breaker panels. I would remove that if you don't plan on hanging... Other wise they are a pain in the neck in most other environments. And a power button would be a great addition. Otherwise for home/hobby bench use this is a good meter.

Great meter for low volt / fire alarm tech

This is a very accurate meter , great sensitivity when it comes to wire fault tracing for fire alarm / low voltage work. Can't beat the price to performace . The magnet is great too . This is my second one , I only purchased this one because I lost my first one .

Seems to good, more features than a Fluke 87.

Seems to good, more features than a Fluke 87. I bought for under $40. Construction is okay but cheap. I have not run across anything that to make me think the readings are off. though it would be interesting to run it through a calibration lab. I usually say " you get what you pay for" this time its a bargan.

works well for what i need, odd size, very expensive, 400ma fuse is annoying

as a hobbyist this multimeter is exactly what i need at a very good price. now have two of them to different locations in the home lab. i did burn out the 400ma fuses and found the replacement fuses quite expensive due it unusual size so i soldered in an external fuse holder so i could use a different size 400 ma fuse that was way less expensive.

Pretty good for the money

We use this thing for an electronic repair shop. Didn't need any super high-accuracy meter. Just C,R, ballpark VDC, diodes, continuity. Does what it says. The included magnetic strap is a very nice and useful feature. Very glad for that. Only complaint is the beeper is really loud, and like most of these cheap-o meters, they run on a slow microprocessor, so the continuity tester is not instantaneous; takes about a half second, which is super annoying if you're testing tiny tact switches, etc.

I've tested it out and have found some really cool features I look for

I run three meters every year. I bought expensive instruments and cheap ones. I just got this form in the mail. I've tested it and found some cool features I want. The cable leads are thick and look durable. What I really like about this watch is that it has a very strong magnet, which helps keep the table on the magnetized surface. I also like its features and relative buttons to eliminate additional resistance and accurately read wires. Because my job requires a lot of troubleshooting, so I hope to test this baby. I hope it can withstand the blow it will take. I will edit my comments in a few months. I will update you at any time.

Nice customs service

When I got this product, I found that I had a problem to measure current with this multimeter. When I contacted the customs service, they replied me very quickly, and tried to help me to find out the solution in different way. In the end, they sent me two set of free backup fuses. Now I enjoy this useful multimeter to check out some problems of my furnace and battery of my car. Thank you so much Alice for your help.

Good lower priced, Harry homeowner meter

I am a novice equipment user and very familiar with the Keithley's, Fluke, HP etc. compared to them, this meter isn't as accurate, but the functions, most of them were tried, are pretty good. I haven't given it the full acid test; so far so good! I recommend this as a decent CAT 111 meter to troubleshoot a panel board, or just do continuity or resistance checks. A nice feature not seen on most meters is the availability of external current loop and temperature. I give it an "A"

Packed with features

I finally upgraded from my old basic, non-autoranging multimeter and I’m impressed by the features offered by this unit. There are too many features for me to go into here but there are some I’m looking forward to working with, like being able to find the forward voltage of a diode, the transistor tester and temperature measuring (which will be helpful to test the actual temperature of my soldering iron). The nice big screen and backlight will also make a big difference for these tired old eyes. The build quality is pretty good. It’s chunky and the yellow casing has a slightly rubberized texture, which should help it survive a short fall.

Best Multimeter I have purchased to date.

The media could not be loaded. I have used multimeters over the years, and had varying degrees of success. Some have lasted many years, some failed very quickly. Dependability will remain to be seen on this one, but aside from that long term review, this is the best multimeter I have ever purchased. It is a great price and value for all the features it offers. It has a a huge, easy to read display, and has a backlit button. A huge plus. Also, it has a decently strong magnet on the back so i can hang it on a metal surface while working. It comes with various means to read devices, like standard leads, butterfly clips, and more. It is well built, and feels very sturdy...stronger than some more expensive ones I have purchased. There is tons of readings here, including AC and DC voltage, temperature, resistance, amperage, and more. You can see the full list above. Overall, so far, I am very happy with the product. It lost one star as the ad states it comes with a protective cover, and this was not included. To be fair, I have not contacted them about it, as it does not make or break the device purchase, but it did not include it. Also, as recommendations (but not affecting my score in any way), 1. wish the magnet was a little bit stronger. It sticks well, but it does feel like it can be pulled off easily. Hasn't happened yet, but that is because I am cautious. Also, it would be good if the back light could be turned off and on, as opposed to about 15 seconds. 15 seconds is decent amount of time, but if you are testing multiple circuits, it would be great to turn it on and off as needed. But these are just recommendations on the existing design. Love it otherwise!

Good DMM, bad test leads

The DMM itself is easy to use, durable, and seems accurate. The reason it doesn't deserve 5 stars is because of the test leads it comes with. They have tiny metal tips which make it impossible to test some components, such as sticking a lead inside a jack of some kind. It also did not come with alligator clips, which was disappointing. The unit itself is great, but the leads really make it frustrating to use.

Good buy for around the house fixes

I've used this multimeter on a few small electronics projects, to installing an always on camera in my car, to changing testing switches and testing light fixtures. It works great and is exactly what I needed to fix small around-the-house issues. If you need to check if something is live, I'd highly recommending buying it.

Perfect for general use

I bought this unit for my car maintenance as well as some household electronic diy fix. This unit has more functions than I need and the labeling is clear and easy to understand. If you can use a conventional one, this one would be easy to use for you as well.
