Works Well But Doesn't Stay on Long

Mueller brand athletic tape gets the job done.
Compared to the standard white athletic tape, this truly does leave black residue along skin (just like previous reviews mention). Overall, the athletic tape does the job. However I noticed this tape feels thinner than the standard white Franklin brand athletic tape. Also noticed this tape tends to stick better when finishing your wrap up (unlike other brands tend to curl and unravel - which is normal when wrapping constantly moving limbs). Best alternative I've found is to overlap a wrist band over wrapped wrists or immediately wearing a sock over wrapped ankle. Both Mueller and Franklin brand have worked well. Will continue to use.

Good Athletic tape.
Very good tape for wrapping body parts or handles. The sticky isn't super powerful, but it's good enough to keep it where it needs to be unless it's seeing some heavy force. The black color keeps it from immediately looking dirty like white. I use this instead of bandaids.

and it is comfortable and supportive
More cloth-like and flexible than some of the other tapes, but very strong. Use a lot of tape around my heel and arch, and it is comfortable and supportive. The edges are a little stringy sometimes when you tear it, but will get more when these rolls run out.

Good tape, but cost could be better.
Decent tape for different athletic applications. Sticks well and doesn't leave a residue when removed. The price could be a little better, since you can get it a local department stores cheaper. But availability and time to delivery was worth the few extra dollars.

I wanted to try out some black athletic tape, and that's about the only positive I found with this product. The tape is black as it should be. In terms of functionality, this athletic tape was subpar on many levels. I use the tape for my fingers for basketball. Most of my comparisons will be with Johnson&Johnson's standard white athletic tape. My problems with the Mueller black tape include: - Weak adhesive. It's enough to stick to itself but it's just weaker than any other tape I've tried. Haven't really stress tested it enough yet, but I don't think it can handle many re-dos if you want to undo and redo your wrapping. - NO breathability. The tape is pretty solid (you can see tiny holes in the Johnson&Johnson tape), which is a bad thing because my finger just started to sweat underneath the tape. Then the tape started sliding loose on my finger, and it just wasn't firm support anymore. It became useless. - Black residue. The edges of the tape left a really sizeable amount of black residue on my finger. Pretty annoying to wash this sticky residue off afterwards. Other points: - Not super easy nor super hard to tear, it's about in the middle compared to other brands I've tried. - 6-pack for $18 is a decent price, but personally, it wasn't quality tape for my use Johnson&Johnson's white athletic tape is much better (adhesive, breathability, support, none to minimal residue left behind), and the only reason I can find to buy this Black Mueller tape is if you must have black sport tape.

Awesome
I injured my wrist while training in muay Thai and use this tape to help stabilize my wrist when punching. It's easy to rip--sanother brand I bought at Walgreens was terrible and even cutting them with scissors was difficult. The tape stays on through several hours of working out. When you remove the tape, there's always some sticky black pieces stuck on you that are hard to get off, but it's no big deal. Overall, great product.

Exactly what I wanted
We used a lot of this tape to tape up pants on my sons pee wee football team and this is cheaper than buying it at the store. My package arrived 4 days early which is awesome!! Will definitely buy again.

Absolute garbage
The tape is thin, doesn't tear very well, and doesn't stick to anything. The adhesive is useless. Worst tape I have ever used. Do yourself a favour and buy something else.
