Great for travel
I purchased two of these for $17 each to use for camping. However, since owning them I’ve realized they’re also super convenient for traveling with them to hotels or staying overnight with friends where you might want a nightlight in an unfamiliar bedroom or bathroom. They deflate to less than an inch thick so it’s perfect to throw in a backpack or duffle. Mine both arrived at a charge level of two. Was no problem to charge them in partial sun up to level three in a few short hours. So far they’ve kept their full charge, even after weeks of minimal use. In my opinion they’re easy to inflate and deflate. Overall I love them for the purpose I needed them for and think it’s a reasonable price if you can get them for $15 or less because it probably cost less than a dollar to make. Taking a star off because the buttons are flush on top so it’s nearly impossible to quickly turn on in the darkness.

you do not need batteries
The luci is a must have for many reasons Black outs, camping, emergencies ( Hurricane Maria in PR) I've bought these for my self.....I bought them for my family in Puerto Rico where there are black out very often, and I've bought them for a friend.

Great for camping and power outages
I used to use for camping the most and would always be a great way to light the common area. Mostly I use for power outages now. Safer and more light than candles. I just keep them in a hanging basket near a window so they are charged for when I need them.

Worked for about 30 minutes then never again
UPDATE 10/15/22: reached out to the company and they were pretty quick to replace it. Easy to work with. My new one came direct from the company so I can be assured it’s not counterfeit and already seems much brighter than my previous one ever was. I haven’t had a chance to take it out camping or charge it yet (it came fully charged, unlike the one I got on Amazon which arrived low on battery and never charged), but I have a feeling this one will work out alright. I’m not sure if mine is defective but I spent so long trying to get it working it is now past the return window. First time I took it out backpacking I charged it a few days prior to leaving and then had it in an outer mesh pocket on my backpack for the 8 hour hike. Got to camp and the light turned on for maybe 30 minutes before going completely dead. I worried it may have turned on in the pocket so I continued to charge it at camp the next few days but was never able to get any power out of it. The next time I took it out to the desert I had it on top of my car collecting sunlight as I traveled. It never worked. I thought maybe the dust affected it? Who knows. Got home and have had the lantern charging in my backyard for 2 weeks in perfect conditions. The light still will not turn on and the battery charge meter reads zero, it does not have enough power to display the battery charge meter. I almost wonder if I got a non-functional counterfeit. The description on the mpowerd website is different than on Amazon, mine did not come with a usb charger to charge the battery otherwise I would have done that. Seems like a great feature to have if the solar panel is not reliable. I have written to the manufacturer for a warranty claim as I’m now outside my return window on this useless product which never worked. Hoping to have better luck next time because the form factor and weight is really good, but if you can’t get any light from it the product is just non-recyclable plastic trash.

this is amazing
So compact but puts out an amazing amount of light. It's been in our usually dark laundry room for a few weeks and still has a charge. We will be purchasing more of these for our kids for their emergency/camping supplies.

great for emergency outages
Got one for Christmas a couple years ago. (Works very well for bright tent light.) It sat in my car for over a year tucked in the door cubby with no sun exposure. This fall we had a power outage and it supplied good room lighting for something like 15-20 hours. Gave several for Christmas presents myself this year.

Great camping lantern!
I love my Coleman dual-fuel lanterns, my Feuerhand & Chalwyn hurricane lamps and the many LED lights I have from the best rated manufacturers. But this one really surprised me. A solar powered beach ball lantern? But, it weighs practically nothing packs down to a very small size and, when tested (with a bit of a sceptical expectation about the 24 hour on low setting claims), after 8 hours in bright sunlight, it gave out enough light to illuminate a small tent for just over 33 hours on low. YMMV. I was expecting serious drop-off at around the 12 hour mark. Didn't happen. The colour temperature is whiter, thus less yellow than I tend to like in a camping lantern, but it has survived some rigorous dunk testing and a brief period as a volleyball on a recent camping trip, so seems fairly robust. It's waterproof & floats too. Hanging straps top & bottom and a 3 position charge indicator add to the convenience & utility. Apparently every sale also benefits charitable distribution of these lanterns and technology to areas without a reliable supply of electricity around the world. Put it this way, I've ordered another. Edit - People seem to be having problems with the pinch valve when inflating. You only need to pinch to expand the lantern by pulling the top and bottom apart. When mostly expanded, a couple of breaths through the one way valve has the lantern fully inflated. Pinch the valve with your fingers and squeeze top and bottom together to rapidly deflate. When fully inflated you can still push the valve in to be pretty much flush.

Not worth buying.
When fully charged the lights only stays on for a short period and then runs out of battery. Not impressed. Glad I didn't take it hiking.

Perfect light for the backwoods or the back yard
This light has been superb on a few kayak camping trips. I love that it has a snap open handle that is easy to use to hang it over an area that needs light. I love that there are several brightness options and it charges up pretty quick in the sun, I love that it is waterproof and I can use it as a light on my kayak. It only takes a couple of big breaths to pump it up. It packs nice and flat and is lightweight. When all my backyard patio lights failed me this past summer my Luci lights didn't!

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
I bought this luci light for a portaging trip I did over the summer, looking to lighten my load and not have to carry a more heavy-duty lamp. This light was so convenient, charged up quickly and was perfect for the trip. It has since, become a staple in my camping gear- just because of how convenient and reliable it is. I can't recommend it enough.
