Works great

For a couple bucks you get a place to rest your rod and reel without having to drill into your kayak. Took it out this morning and it worked great! It's not the highest quality, but it fit perfectly in my kayak. I'm probably going to drill a small bolt hole and attach it with a wing nut for easy removal. So much easier than having to reach behind you to rest your fishing pole.

Doesn’t work

Had these mounted on our pantoon boat. The square bottom part does not align with our square railing (standard size) and the rod cut out does not hold the rod safely. I didn’t trust it to hold the rod, so I just had to use my fishing gear without this. And I purchased 6 of these. I wish I tested it first. Oh well.

Great and Inexpensive rod holder !

Not sure what wrong with other reviewers who claimed that this rod holder is flimsy. They probably trying to steer more customers toward there $20+ rod holders. LOL... No, this one is HEAVY DUTY (tip: just take a look at the shipping weight) ! I could not bend it with my bare hands, and would definitely need serious tools to do so. One great thing about this rod holder is that it can actually be mount horizontally or vertically (look at the groove at its base which spans across 2 dimensions and you'd understand what I meant). Thinking about getting another pair of it for my other canoe. 5 STARS for outstanding quality on a very affordable price tag (~$7 a piece)!

Light weight and Tough

This is a perfect parts for people who can only use an 9’8 inflatable boat for fishing! It is light weight and lets be honest, it is a little bit rough. But it provide what u need! A tough rod holder, it is easy to clump and save a lot space. I am sure if u have a small alluminum or inflatable boat and just looking for a rod holder then this will be your best choice!

Good versatility

I took 2 apart to mount them to a board for my car-topper boat and then the board straddles the gunnel and using 2 bolts it slides into the oar holes. This way when I am alone in the boat I can use 2 rods, one on each side, and have easy access while using the trolling motor. Much cheaper than paying $30 for fancier name-brand versions.

Buy something else. This is junk.

Cheap quality garbage. Already broken when arrived. I was going to fix it but it isn’t even worth the effort. Seriously hope you save your money for something better.

very flimsy!

Absolute garbage! Super flimsy and really hard to get fixed in one position instead it spins around a lot and honestly just didn't work as the intended use
