Christmas Gift
Bought these for my son and nephew for christmas to break in their new gloves.

Convinced on using mallet to break in new gloves
Used this mallet to break in a catcher's mitt my son got for Christmas and it did a great job. This is the first time I used a mallet to break in a glove and will use one from now on. I watched some You tube videos of Shigeaki Aso breaking in gloves and used that method. The Catcher's Mitt he got was very stiff and I was concerned on how long it was going to take to break in. I was surprised what a difference some work with the mallet did. The mallet also had a strap of glove lace on the end which allows you to hang it up easily. Very good quality and happy with the purchase.,

Great little tool.
Son needed a new catchers mitt and this made things a hole lot easier when breaking in. Worth the purchase, I’m sure I’ll use it on new gloves in the future. Works really nice getting in the pocket.

Good weight
Nice. A little heavier than the Rawlings one that I have which is a good thing. Nice solid feel to it. Does a great job forming a pocket in the glove. Only negative is that the handle is very slippery. Add some grip tape to it.

Well made, does a good job, a bit pricey
I used to use a rubber mallet to pound my ball gloves but decided to try 1 of these since it's rounder. It does a good job and seems very well made. Seems a bit pricey. A rubber mallet cost about 12 dollars and does about the same job.

Shaping Mallet/ life saver
So I was using this fantastic mallet to break in my new A2000, and I suddenly hear the snarl of what sounded like a dozen or so Zombies at my back door. I cautiously got up from the den couch with mallet in hand and decided to investigate. Sure enough working on the kitchen sliding door are 9 big Zombies! Before I could get to the door to lock it, the lead Zombie slides it open! I'm forced fight him and his 8 comrades off with said Mizuno Shaping Mallet! Oh it got a little messy my friends, but I nonetheless prevailed! And as a bonus, my A2000 is perfectly shaped to my liking! I highly recommend this product. Whew!!!

WHAM!
Super sturdy and strong. Heavy--can put some WHAM into it! Did the trick whacking my son's steer-hide Buster Posey catcher's mitt into submission. It's one tough glove and needed some serious off-season attention, even after paying for a "pre-break-in" steaming from the vendor and a season of fall ball. I set up a station in our bonus room (used a slab of butcher block) and left it there so hubby and kid could pound on the glove while watching television. Won't be a problem squeezing the ball when spring training rolls around.

It's solid
This is my third glove wacker in as many months the other company's was a solid wood ball drilled and glued to a dowel, those sucked and both broken in less than two weeks. This is one piece and solid should be able to get plenty of miles out of it.

Solid product but lose the groves.
I like the shape and weight of their mallet and it works well, however with the repetitive nature of this tool the grooves on the shaft is really hard on the hands and unnecessary. You may want to tape over them.

To break a glove in in 24 hours, you need something like this.
I have kids in elite level baseball. It seems like I am always breaking in a new glove. This works great and is a must if you are breaking in a pro level glove. It makes the job easy.me you can break a glove in in just 24 hours if you have one of these ...and the right you-tube video. There is a Rawlings series that is excellent.

Great for softball
Slightly on the smaller side but it worked perfectly for my daughters glove. I currently have a mallet that's the size of an 11" ball. Great for softball. This one is more like the size of a baseball. The two together create a good tag team for many sizes of gloves. I run and coach Adult and kids baseball to softball so it helps having all the tools.

Indispensible product.
If you are breaking in a new BB glove a little "Glove Butter" by Rawling and the mallet will help break in pocket.
