Collaspsibility is so cool. Took on world cruise.
I have owned this detector for a couple years now use it camping,exploring etc. Found some cool stuff once you practice a little you can pin point objects quickly. The detectors is never wrong there is always something there. Found change , bulletshell casings, knives, tools ,tons of tent stakes. I was fortunate enough to go on a works cruise and took the detector to kill time on beaches. Here is best story ever. Moreton beach Australia i broke out the detector and a younger guy that was a tour guide on segways . Rolled over to me and told me a rough area on the beach where he lost a ring his mother had given him.he was playing cricket. It was a black tungsten steel ring with and inspiration in the middle. Beautiful powder sand. 1 1/2 hours into it i found his ring ! He was speechless.Emotional, happy. It really was a highlight of the world cruise. On that same beach i found 30 dollars in change. That dude who lost the ring had been trying for quite a while to locate a detector. None on the island. He gave up until we met. Other places on the world tour were not so gracious . Spain and Italy you would get hassled by police asking for a non existent detecting permitt. You would be then taken to the nearest atm to get $300 fee. I was warned by cool locals and since this detector was collapsible I put it back in my back pack and shared some espresso. This product rocks ! It comes white which to me was too bright to dragging around dirt etc . So I covered my white areas with camo duct tape now it is more covert and rugged looking. Long battery life.

Very accurate. Found a bunch being a first time user the first hour!
The media could not be loaded. Pinpoint feature works perfectly. First time user and we found about 15 things in 2 hours at the local park. Nothing much of value but still good to get familiarized with this product. The type of metal is not accurate. I would still dig everything because older jewelry and items are typically made from not so high value metals. we would scan and then use the pinpoint. I would set the detector down and then dig a hole around the detector. Then we would flip the grass lid up and dig straight down and every time the item was right in the hole. The depth feature Works accurately things that were on the surface or about 2-4 in down would show up as one bar. And if something was right on the surface it would just make the really loud tone consistently and show the one bar . Things that were about 4 to 8in down would show up as two bars.. and things that were eight inches or deeper would show up as three bars. That was with the sensitivity at 1. I'm sure this detector would detect things a lot deeper than the 12in if your sensitivity was adjusted higher up. I noticed this thing dinging like crazy whenever we would turn up the sensitivity so we just left it at 1 to originally find things. If it would ding and then I didn't hear the ding again I would turn it up to 2 and skin again and it would find the item ....then I would use the pinpoint feature until it got to its highest tone and then set the detector down and dig around it. So I would say this thing is very very accurate finding items and pinpointing the location. The depth is also accurate as well I would say 1 bar for about every 4 in . The tones work correctly as far as telling you how close to the surface something is as well it makes like a doorbell ding dong sound very loudly if something is right on top. I will upload a video and photos later of our fine and to show the features and how accurate this thing is. The only thing I found to not be accurate was it's deciphering the value or type of metal. We dug up saying said it said we're High value items or coins and it ended up being a crinkle chunk of aluminum or tin from roof material...or old railroad tie and nails . Also we found in early 1900 electrical fuse that had the ceramic or porcelain top with a mason jar type lid..that dinged as high value... either way I have not used to discrimination mode because I would like to dig up everything so this thing works great for what I need it for.

Found my target right out of the box
This metal detector is my first one, I found it easy to use. I was looking for a septic tank that I suspected had steel rebar in its construction, I found it in 10 minutes. And this was after looking for it manually for hours. Well worth the expensive. I recommend it.

This detector is okay part-time wise,,,
I know minelab puts out some great products,, This detector I guess they were trying to go against the grain,, Granted it's very easy to use it's very portable but there are some flaws in it where it will wear out and probably fail with the construction of it,, otherwise it does find the coins and surprisingly deep for the price of this machine,,, The ID is just a little bit off and the pinpoint function is a little touch and go otherwise it's a great portable detector if you want to maybe just keep it in your vehicle,,

Nice small lightwieght detector
I bought this for my wife (who started watching too many metal detecting YouTube videos). The key pluses are its size and weight. It collapses to a nice small size. It is easy to put in the trunk. After many trips to the local beaches, I find it very easy to use. It is lightweight which a big plus. It does a good job of detecting. The detection modes are not always correct. However, an experienced detector told me always dig up everything. That would be true with this unit. The pinpoint location feature works well. Overall I really like this metal detector. Great for someone just starting out. It's fun to take out, but I still have not found my fortune yet.

It's a metal detector. It detects metal things.
Got this to find the property markers around one of my houses. They drive rebar in the ground at the corners of lots here. It worked like a charm - a heck of a lot cheaper than paying for a survey. I also used it at the beach and found a kid's toy truck and a rather large diamond earing. The pinpointing mode works pretty well, but I found the metal type discriminator to be somewhat inaccurate. It would show iron / junk but upon digging it was coins. Giving 4 stars because the balance on this causes your arm to wear out quickly when scanning a large area. I've had others before that weren't as tiring to use. Also the arm extension piece seems cheap.

Easy to operate.
The kids use this. Display is easy to read. Minimal functions so easy to operate and lighter than others. Fantastic how it colapses for easy storage. Not the most accurate. Overall we are pleased with the purchase. Cost was a good price.

Easy to use and works better than similarly-priced models.
I got this for a kid so I didn't want to get the most expensive complex one out there. This one is simple and easy to use and folds up well. It's been used and tossed around a bit and holds up well. It appears to have the features and accuracy of some other ones I've seen that other people have purchased, but was a better price.

Perfect gift for my son
Bought it for my 9 yr old son as a gift, he loves it. Fully adjustable length and light enough for him to carry. Folds up really compact. Build quality seems solid Going to test it some more in the forest today, gonna be fun!

I'm a beginner
Works well. There is a bit of a learning curve and the documentation could be better but the detector is fantastic. It folds to a very small size and is very lightweight. The indicators are very clear and precise. While I have nothing to compare this with, I am very impressed.
