Great product but delivery was awful

Product is adorable and will make a great Christmas gift. My problem was with the delivery. There was no place to say if I was satisfied with the delivery, so I will be showing a picture of how the package was delivered to me. I opened the door less than 2 minutes after it was delivered and the envelope had that giant rip in it. Luckily it was only one item and nothing was missing, but that’s absolutely unacceptable for a delivery.

We love this challenging puzzle!

We put this in our three year old daughter’s Easter basket, and she’s played with it every few days ever since receiving it. As a teacher, I love the problem solving skills it teaches her. She’s figure out on her own that if she being with edge pieces, she can figure out what puzzle it is based on the color of the border. I think this is a great puzzle! It keeps her busy for a long time because it can be a real challenge to put a puzzle together of this format. Once she does one, she usually likes to do two more one right after the other before she gets tired or disinterested. She is able to clean it up herself easily because of the wooden storage tray. I’d highly recommend this puzzle as a great learning toy for any three-five year old. I took away one star for durability because there’s one or two cubes that have a white part bent up on the corner after so much use.

Great for children who have sensory frustration

If your child gets frustrated easily and it curves their ability to learn, these are very good starter puzzles. First of all, you're getting multiple for the price of one, and of course there are no "this has to fit here or it wont go". It gives way to your child being able to absorb what a puzzle is, and how to do it - without having to jump straight into the coordination between shape and partial image matching. Of course, there are plenty of children who do just fine with puzzles. If you have a child with developmental delays or other conditions that affect their learning ability, this is honestly a good start. Even for Autism 3 with accompanied language impairment and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Nice little puzzle

Our 3 year old loves to do this puzzle and it’s great that there are different images in a compact spot. But this set came with scrunched up decals on a few blocks. Very disappointing but still usable.

The image is a sticker

These are a great size for my 3 year old and she really enjoys puzzles. Unfortunately the image on the blocks are just stickers, and they’ve already started to peel. My daughter isn’t unusually rough with toys either, although she has stacked them as blocks before. They feel very plastic-y and the sticker is not adhered very well at all.

Won’t last

Gave this to my 3 year old and it’s a little tough by herself, but she likes it. My problem is the picture images are already starting to peel off the corners the second day of use and I’m afraid they won’t last. Sad in the quality of this Melissa and Doug toy, they’re usually really good, and for how much it cost.

A favorite!

This is one of my daughter's favorite puzzles! She has loved this puzzle since she got it 2 years ago for her 1st birthday - so much so, I had to purchase another on Amazon when her little brother got ahold of it and chewed the blocks and damaged it!

Lower quality than expected

I usually love everything Melissa and Doug and I love the idea of this puzzle, but it just doesn’t look that great. I never actually opened it before deciding to return it, so I can’t comment on the durability. The stickers were put on the wood poorly - a few bumps and bubbles are clearly visible and many edges from adjacent pictures show on the wrong side. Maybe a counterfeit was sent to me. A different kid might not care too much because it’s not horrible, but I think it would bother my daughter.

Hours of fun

Got this for my girls 3 and 4 yrs old. Although itis hard for them to do the puzzles alone and they require help.it offers them hours of fun trying and if they dont do the puzzes they build towers with the cubes so it makes if fun for them and gives mommy a little break

Peeling after 2 days

My daughter has had this for two days. It started peeling the first time we tried to put it together and now after a handful of times, it’s peeling horribly. Really poor quality. I purchased a Blues Clues one for my son which is painted wooden blocks and much better quality. This one is garbage: don’t even bother.

Terrible Quality

M&D should be ashamed about the quality of this product. It’s the third thing from them I’ve returned in the last year due to this reason so I’m officially done with their products now. They really need to learn that cheaping out by putting stickers on wood rather than painting it is a really dumb idea for toddler toys and a rip off to their loyal customers, especially when their stuff is overpriced as it is. Going with CocoVillage or TenderLeaf for our wood toys in the future.
