Great display!

I bought a frame size close to the actual size of my puzzle and the picture shows what the final presentation looks like. I am happy with the quality of the item and it wasn't a struggle to place the puzzle into the frame, as I thought it would be. However, the fold over staples which hold the frame board on the back won't take many open/close bendings before they will break off. So once you get the puzzle in the frame, you probably want to keep it there for good.

Measurements not accurate

I love the frames, they are very nice. This was the second frame I've purchased from this company. For the first puzzle I framed I bought a frame that was larger than the puzzle dimensions, everything came out great. For this second puzzle, which is 24×30 I purchased the 24×30 frame because they claim the viewing window of the frame is 24×30 and the total dimensions of the frame are slightly larger, which would lead you to believe a 24×30 puzzle would fit. This was not the case, I assumed it would be a tight fit and a little challenging to get the puzzle in the frame, but after a few minutes of attempting to place the puzzle I can say for sure that it will not fit. I don't normally leave reviews but in this case I felt I should confirm what some of the other reviews are saying; that if you purchase one of these frames, make sure the size of the frame is larger than the puzzle you are framing. With that being said I do ask the manufacturer to either make there frames slightly larger in order to validate their claims of what will fit inside the frame OR list in the description that each frame fits puzzles or anything else that are smaller than the frame's dimensions. For example the 24×30 frame should state that it fits puzzles no larger than 23×29, or something along those lines.

Wrong size and plastic scratched

The first thing I noticed is how heavy and sturdy the frame is. It isn't just cheap and flimsy. It arrived already put together. I was glad to see the box was to be opened on the end, rather than across the face of the frame, because I would've been afraid of scratching the plexiglass with a cutting tool. The frame has a sheet of plexiglass, a black/white heavy paper for use as a border if the puzzle is under the full frame size. I was excited to get my puzzle framed and on the wall, but when I removed the outer plastic that it was sealed in, I was disappointed to find that a line I had seen was actually a big deep scratch in the plexiglass. It looks like it was the top sheet in a box and someone ran a cutter along the box scoring the top sheet. It's very visible even with the colors of the puzzle to mask it. My next disappointment was when the grand moment came to lay my puzzle in the frame. It didn't fit. The item description says, "MCS Frame for Puzzles, Black, 24 x 30 in or smaller." The box of my puzzle (White Mountain, so it is good quality) says it's 24 x 30. I should have just bought a frame from them. Theirs is more expensive, but they sell theirs for their puzzles, so I assume it would fit, or they'd not have such a good name in the puzzle industry. I do quite a few puzzles, and could make use of this frame for another, if only the plastic wasn't scratched. Such a disappointment, but such is the nature of online shopping. UPDATE: I did end up putting a smaller puzzle in this frame, even using the scratched plexiglass sheet. I just didn't want to go to all the trouble of shipping it back, and that seemed to be the only option with this company. If only they would just replace the scratched plexiglass with a new sheet, I'd be completely satisfied.

Best Frame for 1,000 piece puzzle!

What a great frame! I was so happy to find that MCS had this frame in white! Perfect for my 30 x 24 puzzle!!! Definitely worth the price! Would be great if this was non-glare, other than that, super happy

Nice expensive frame

I can’t believe I spent $65 (incl. taxes) to frame a $20 puzzle. The price is ridiculous but the options are limited. Nonetheless, cost notwithstanding, the frame is nice, sturdy and well-assembled, as I would expect from something coming from USA (which might explain the gouging). The plexiglass is surprisingly clear. The frame showcases the puzzle. The reversible black/white mat is a bonus. At half the price it would have been good value.

Very sturdy but the panel is not glass

Very nice frame and the dimensions are very precise! The only thing is that the transparent panel is not out of glass, so it seems just a bit cheap. But it is very well made overall.

Expected a lot more for the price

Only good thing about this order was the quick delivery. We were excited to put the puzzle in to hang it today, but saw the scratches as soon as we peeled off one side of the plastic packaging. There were scratches on the frame, but also the styrene front as well. The front cover looked like it was cleaned and buffed, as we see some cleaning marks (as if a wet rag was used to mask the fact that it was probably previously owned). The frame was also more glossy than mat (as per advertised) if that's what you're looking for. Didn't bother us as much but thought to mention it anyway. On top of all that, it wasn't a perfect fit for our 1000 piece Buffalo puzzle. The puzzle itself fit inside the frame, but when you look at the image, you can see that it cuts off almost 1cm on all four sides of the puzzle. You'd at least expect to showcase all your hours of hard work! Pretty disappointed about that. It's meh. We'll probably still use it, because returning it would be too much of a hassle considering the size of this thing. Could probably find a much better frame that complements your 1000 piece puzzle. For the price, this frame wasn't up to par. I expected a lot more.

Perfect!

The frame is plastic and the covering is plexiglass but it still looks very nice and perfectly fit the puzzle we wanted to frame. We would have preferred the wood look finish but it wasn't available. Overall, we were very satisfied with this purchase.
