nice ergonomic handle, teeth could be longer but works fairly well if fur not too long or thick
Very nice double-row rake brush, the handle is very nice and easy to grip with my arthritic hands and the main reason why I purchased this rake. It seems to be well built and light, the teeth are rounded so no scratching the dogs skin and with the head is fairly wide so you brush more per stroke, and teeth being all metal the teeth should stay firm and I place with frequent and long use. I particularly like that the row of teeth are slightly varied in height with the back row of teeth being taller (~ 3/4" long) than the front teeth(~1/2"). I just wish the teeth were a little longer as I have an older heavier Le Salon double rake brush that has longer teeth (1" and 3/4" long) that you cannot get anymore and it amazing what a difference the slightly longer teeth have for raking through the thicker double under coat of my Keeshond, who has an exceptionally thick under coat. This rake is good for the less thick areas of my dogs double coat or to brush to over areas after I have gone through an area with the longer toothed rake that penetrates the deeper coat to the skin. This rake picks up the fur fairly well and is very easy to clean. I find that using some dog fur de-tangler or de-shedding spray helps prevent pulling in the thicker areas and keeps the fur in the brush so there is less flying around. The brush head itself is easy to clean provided you have a cloth or light brush (IE tooth brush) that fits between the rows of teeth. If your dog has a very long, thick double coat this brush is a little harder to use and you will probably need another brush/ double toothed wide comb to go through the coat first but overall it is a nice brush and given that I knew the length of the teeth before buying it I am very satisfied with it; as it is better than a lot of the double rake brushes (non-bladed brushes and rakes) I have tried which are a must with a double coated dog (the single rake I have tried just did not do the job well enough and pulled the dog's fur much more). I have a double rake brush with rotating teeth not a Master Grooming one, that has the same length teeth as this Master Grooming Double-Row Rake, but I am not that happy with it (the rotating teeth make a noise which my dog is not very fond of especially around her head) and I usually only use it after I have brushed with one of my other rakes/combs to catch the loose fur if I am not using de-tangler spray.

Love it
I bought this for my German Shepard. It works better than any brush I’ve bought. He loves it and comes running to me everyone I pick it up.

WOW!
I have a 10 year old husky who's hated being brushed his entire life. I found out about this style brush from a super nice PetSmart groomer and man I wish I would have found out about it sooner, it has made brush time enjoyable for both my dog and myself! Cannot recommend enough!

Excellent gentle grooming rake for a C ollie's soft undercoat!
This is perfect for a gentle but thorough way to remove undercoat. I have four collies and this is the best tool! It is so effective I keep the soft fur that comes off the save for felting and spinning projects. Seriously, it doesn't pull, it makes for happy time together, and ,makes grooming fun.

Best brushing tool ever !!!
This grooming tool is unbelievable!!! After five years with a semi-long haired cat, I have tried several different types of "brushes" and I never got much hair at all in the brush - however the cat was dropping tufts of fur all over the carpet. I got lazy, stopped brushing and he got such bad mats that I took him to the vet for some help. They cut off the mats and brushed him out, then showed me the brushing tool they had used on him. I came home and found it on Amazon and immediately tried it. I could not believe it - I got huge amounts of hair in the "brush" (really a rake) and it got the hair in the undercoat. I even got hair out of my short haired cat! The package says it's good for all coats, dogs and cats. I will recommend this tool to any pet owner.

A must have for long coats
I bought this to try and help with the fur problem in my house. My Golden Retriever sheds so much, but our regular brushes don't get everything and take so long to get all the hair out. This tool was amazing. It helped clean out the fur from his coat SO EASILY and quickly. I got him brushed in about a 1/4 of the time it usually takes, with much less effort. It also worked well on my Bernese Mountain dog. The black part is metal and the handle is comfortable. It doesn't rip hair out, it gently takes it out. My golden loved it and wouldn't let me stop brushing him.

I love this grooming tool
I love this grooming tool. I brought one from the groomer about 7 years ago and it just removes the undercoat so easily. The only reason I had to replace it was the puppy thought the handle was a chew toy. My furry child is a chow lab mix so you can understand how important a good "brush" is. I get so many comments from strangers on what a beautiful coat she has. Even my vet wanted to know what I do. Just invest about 10 minutes a day on giving her a good brushing and removing the undercoat. If I could rate it higher I would. This is a longer hair dog must have.
