Love these grips
Love these grips. While they are not intended to be grippy while you play around in the mud, they are great for cruising around and are quite comfortable on your hands. The only reason that I take off a star is that whatever they use for coloring, it does not go very deep. If the leather is scratched just slightly, it will show the original leather color. Just don't scratch them - or - wreck. Other then that, they are well made and do not slip or lose their grip on the bars. OHHH yeah; You must be very careful when opening the package. For some reason the manufacturers box they come in has this great big window that is not a plastic see through type. The small screws WILL fall through this window and you will be lucky if they haven't already by the time you get them in the mail. I almost lost a screw because of this and would not have been able to use the grips. For that I must take off one more star because I feel that is important for the customer to receive all the parts and not lose them by falling out a packaging window somewhere out there in postal service land.

Work great if installed properly
As someone else noted there can be an issue with the end caps coming off if installed improperly. Mine started coming off so I took them apart and found out why. You have to completely remove the end cap before sliding the grip on to make sure the handlebar tube goes all the way to the end of the inner part of the grip. The end of the inner part of the grip must be flush with the handlebar tube. Then you can put the end cap on and tighten it. If you don't make them flush and try to tighten the end cap, it will just pinch the plastic ends of the inner grip and fall off pretty quick. These things look great but aren't made as well as I would hope (too much plastic). Giving them a 5 for cosmetics and 3 for build quality, so 4 stars total.

Firm and built to last.
Been riding 16 miles a day with these on my bike for my daily commute. At first I found them uncomfortable as they are quite stiff. If you're looking for soft cruiser grips, these aren't for you (Maybe look at the Velo cruiser grips, they're cheaper as well). After getting used to them, I'm come to really enjoy them. They're high quality grips that are going to last a long time, and I appreciate the materials used. I'll update with some photos after a few more months of use to show the age.

Really nice for the price
These, are really nice for $40. They aren't Brooks grips. They just have the finish and look down. However these are very nice. They are a good compromise between the Brooks plump grips that are a little heavy and some don't like the texture, and the Brook slim which are beautiful but very skinny. These are bulky and chunky. They go great on a cruiser. I don't personally care for the stitching on these because they will get dirty and eventually fray over time, but the wife liked the look and they are on her bike.

Feel and look gorgeous
I'm not much into bike bling, but I bought a used Raleigh Rush Hour Flatbar that comes standard with a brown leather Brooks saddle. The grips that come with it are cheesy faux-brown-leather. They look and feel terrible. So I upgraded to these, and could not be happier. The leather must be pretty darn thick, because there is a very mild cushion effect with them -- i.e., it's obviously not thin leather over metal. The stitching is thick and stands out quite a bit, so you'll want to position it such that it helps maintain your grip without irritating your palms; put the stitching under your mid-fingers. They are easy to install. They look beautiful. I really, really like these grips.

Great grips for my daily driver
Great grips for my daily driver! As a bike commuter it feels much nicer than the stock rubber grips. They were very slippery when I first got them with gloves, but after a month or so they were fine. Now I can't imagine anything else on my bike. They also look great too! My buddy got some Brooks grips at the same time, and while they are very nice, I like mine better. Especially when factoring in the price. Easy to install too.

Unexpected quality
These are by far the nicest grips I've ever installed. The leather would be worthy of Brooks. Hardware is solid and nicely polished. The stitching is tight and uniform. After almost four months of rain, sweat, and handling, the leather is holding its color, and has begun to develop an attractive patina. I neither abuse nor coddle the bike to which they're attached, but it looks as if the PDW grips could be around a while. Big thumbs up. I'll be buying more of these for other bikes.

Nice grips, but.....
My second set of these. Not sure if they are defective, but one of the locks stripped out immediately upon tightening. The other one is fine.

I was amazed at how cheap these feel for the money
I was amazed at how cheap these feel for the money. The barrel is plastic and the ends are poor quality too. They might look the part but they don't feel it. Sent them back for a refund.
