Not as soft as i expected
I assume that something referred to as a gel grip would be much softer and have some give to it. When I ride, I typically experience numbness in my right hand, so I had hoped a gel cushioned grip would help solve the problem. These are basically the same as the stock grips that came with my Trek Verve II. That said, they are more ergonomic and feel good to grip, but they don't work for me. Although my problem wasn't solved, this is a good product, it's just not as soft as I was led to believe, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Fairly comfortable, but I had to cut it down
This was my first time replacing a bike’s handlebar grips and, once I got past the chore of getting the old ones off, these were easy to put on with the use of window cleaner sprayed inside them, as instructed. They are also a decent improvement in comfort in comparison to the basic handles that came with the bike. I had an issue though, and I’m not sure how typical this is, with them being much too long for my handlebars. I had to cut quite a bit off of the open end with some utility scissors for them to be the right length for my handlebars, as you can see in my photo. They are still comfortable enough to me and don’t look too bad, so I’m still good with them.

Hard to install but comfy
Replaced my old Mongoose Beast grips with these. They were tough to install but over all worked out well.

Better than round grips!
I put these on my ATV and I feel like I have better control of my grip. The feel of the grip is solid but not rock hard. I put a tiny allen wrench under the old ones and poured rubbing alcohol into the gap and spun them until they released. I poured alcohol into these new grips and spun them on. They are very snug and don't move. I can move them if I try hard enough. But, they stay put all day. What a difference. My hands are grateful.

Best grips
I cut one side to use it for my twist shifter. Feels great. I am using it on my electric bicycle for extra safety. I really like it that i planning to install on some of my other bicycles.

Success on C2C
Bought them for use on the Coast to Coast which I did on my MTB. So I would say thats praise enough. 150 miles in 3 days :-)

Mejora el agarre
La marca Schwinn es garantía en bicicletas y si bien estas empuñaduras son muy anatomicas y de muy buen precio, creo que les falto un poco de suavidad o mejor acolchonado en la zona de la palma. Por otro lado es importante que mencionaran la mejor forma de quitar y ponerlas. Y aqui les va el tip: Con una jeringa y su respectiva aguja la llenan de alcohol y literalmente "la inyectan" entre el hule y el manubrio, eso crea una capa superficial que permite retirar la manija anterior, a lo mejor es necesario "inyectar en 2 o 3 zonas para que puedan retirar la manija previa. Para poner estas manijas, solo basta que viertan un poco de alcohol dentro de la manija nueva para que deslice y ajuste como ustedes mejor lo sientan. Saludos
