Good Product/ Awful delivery
This product works very well. It was SUPPOSED to be a CHRISTMAS present for my Wife. AMAZON drops it of in the factory box with a label slapped on it. NO MORE surprise for a Christmas Present. Basically I'm Pissed off that I almost sent it back. Bad business

Breaks easily
Automatic thread feature broke after only second day of use (just a couple of projects). For the price, I expected a much better machine. Will look for something else.

Impressive to a complete beginner
This machine comes with many features with great instructions. Though, wish it came with more bobbins. The screen is impressive and easy to work with. Threads can easily become tangled though and sometimes it's frustrating to fix.

Great for beginner.
I have been sewing since I was 9 years old . At 73 I decided I wanted to try using an embroidery machine and maybe make some extra money. While I have the machine set up I have not used it yet. I am one of those people who will read the instructions a bazillion times before using the tool. I just like to understand how it works because it makes it easier for me to use. There are several instruction books included all in different languages. Many accessories included. My regular sewing machine is also a Brother machine and my two previous were Brother machines. I recommend giving it a try. Good start for a beginner.

Excellent for beginners
I am a beginner to using embroidery machines. I ordered this machine because I have always wanted to learn how to use one. I have many things I can use it for. I haven't used it yet, but I have unloaded it and set it up. So far, everything is going smoothly. I love Brother. I have a Singer and a Brother sewing machine. The Brother machine is my favorite, so I am excited that this is a Brother machine. The steps on the touch pad are easy to follow. I have been watching instructional videos and believe that I will be trying this soon. I am excited! I will post an update on my progress.

Small but mighty embroidery machine
I am an experienced machine embroiderer and can highly recommend this machine for beginners (so easy to set up and learn to use) as well as seasoned embroiderers who want a small machine or travel machine as the PE545 is compact and lightweight. The PE545 comes with features that help make embroidery fun and easy. The PE545 comes equipped with 135 built-in embroidery designs and 10 built-in lettering fonts. The sharp 3.7" LCD display allows for easy on-screen editing. In addition, the PE545 comes with an advanced needle threading system, an automatic thread cutter, embroidery speeds up to 400 spm. A maximum embroidery area of 4" x 4". The PE545 has the Embroidery Drag and Drop function, which allows embroidery patterns to be moved with the touch of a finger - this makes design positioning a snap. When connected to a wireless network (wireless LAN enabled), the PE545 lets you send files from your PC to your machine via Design Database Transfer. You can also create and send designs through PE-Design 11¹/² for added flexibility. Artspira App -this new feature has embroidery patterns you can download, plus the ability to create embroidery patterns by drawing on your mobile device. The drawing tools embedded in the app include a pen (single/zigzag), and an eraser. You can draw line-art inspired designs up to 4" x 4" (100mm x 100mm) and then transfer them to your PE545 wirelessly. In addition, the Artspira Mobile App lets you share your creations on many social media platforms. Included with the PE545 embroidery machine are tutorial videos and an easy needle threading system to help you get started. Highly recommend this embroidery machine for ease of use and quality of stitchouts!

A true beginner embroidery machine
The media could not be loaded. I would say I’m a confident advance sewer, I own a serger and Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine. My first sewing machine was a Brother. The Brother Embroidery machine works slightly different. For starters, there is no foot pedal included. In my video I will show the unboxing and what’s inside. Give a preview of what’s pre- loaded on the machine, in terms of designs, fonts, and the tutorial videos. Demonstrate how the automatic threader works. Finally, demonstrate how to use the embroidery machine. The quick reference booklet helps you get your machine going, I highly recommend you read before you even turn on your machine. After you got the basics set up. Read the “Operational manual” for more detail instructions and tips to help your project come out the best that it can. There is one other supply you need to embroider and that is a stabilizer that is placed on the wrong side of the fabric. This helps with stitches looking neat. I believe it’s friendly because the instructions are simple and clear with plenty of pictures to visually understand. Plus, multiple languages to choose from. I will say the only confusing area I had was when I connected the embroidery unit to sewing machine and the screen went black for a second, then a warning screen displaced the importance of watching your fingers when using the machine. I guess that’s their disclaimer and safety measure every time. After you press “okay” it takes you back to the main screen. Considering this is my first time working with an embroidery machine, I will stick to single thread designs until I feel comfortable changing the thread mid project. Projects that are great for the embroidery machine, but not limited are tea towels, children's clothes, tote bags, and wine bags. The Brother website also has project from beginner to advance. I highly recommend going to see the possibilities.
