Good for drying light items for travel

with the hooks, we could wrap around the shower head and extend to the towel rack. With the suction cups we could extend across the shower. However, where we were, it was very humid and things did not dry very quickly which had nothing to do with the product. We hung wet-dri athletic shirts, underwear and swim suits which worked fine. The criss/cross holes helped dry better than looping over the line by itself. This worked great for our travel in Peru. Would recommend.

Was very helpful on our vacation

It has both hooks and suction cups. The rope is twisted so you don't need clothespins to hang up clothes. Since we were traveling for 9 days with only a wheelie each, it was great to have for washing items in the sink to wear again, rather than the expensive hotel rates for dry cleaning / laundry.

Not here for the suction

The bad: the suction discs are absolutely useless. It wouldn't even hold up the line itself let alone any clothing of any kind. The good: there are hooks on either end of the line that can attach to the suction discs, but since the discs are useless, you have the option to use the hooks to find other things to hook up to. Another cool feature is that you don't need any clothes pins to hang your clothing on the line; the twisted elastic and tension help keep the clothing up. I don't give it a high rating because it's not working like it's supposed to, but I didn't give it a complete fail because even though I had to rig the whole thing and it looks ramshackle, my clothes are hanging off it and are drying as we speak.

Helpful for a cruise

We used this in the shower and on the balcony on a recent cruise. It could handle all our bathing suits and worked well. We will be taking it on all future trips.

I was forewarned by other reviewers that the suction cups didn't hold. That's very true. I haven't gotten mine to hold on any surface, even a smooth porcelain tile. But as long as you have something to hook onto, it is easy to setup the line from the shower to a towel bar, or somewhere else. I had my previous line for decades and the elastic had gotten so stretched. This is wonderful to once again have the stretchy elastic and not need to bring along any clothe spins.

This is great!

I LOVE being able to hook the ends of the line to itself to wrap around an object and to be able to use this on even a strong diagonal. I have never used the suction cups, but the remove very easily. GREAT for line drying while traveling in hotel rooms.

Brilliant. An absolute travel essential

This product has been a huge help whenever we have gone travelling to places without a washing machine. This week we took it to Algarve and our little apartment did not have any laundering facilities. The closest launderette was a way away and I have two toddlers with very mucky clothes. I had taken a tiny bottle (an old bubble mixture container) filled with liquid detergent. I simply put about 2 tbsps of detergent in a tub and added hot tap water to make a lather. I added a small load of clothes and let them sit for 5 minutes. Then I worked them in the warm water with a combination of my hands and a wooden spoon (yup really). After rinsing twice, I squeezed out the water gently. Then I spread out all the clothing pieces on a large flat bath towel. I rolled the towel tightly and my daughter and I took turns walking across the towel roll from one end to the other 2-3 times. It was quite fun really. Then I secured this washing line between two chairs (I had to weight the chair seats with some cushions to stop them from toppling). Hanging up the clothes was a doddle. The clothes dried beautifully overnight and I had fresh, clean smalls and even a few kids' t-shirts ready to wear the next morning. I have used this line with the suction cups twice but on both occasions, at least one of the cups has failed to stay stuck on a tiled wall, which has now made me wary of using the supplied suction cups. But if you wrap the ends around and hook them over onto themselves, the line works a treat. Yes it is not very long but you can always buy another if you intend to do more washing. The packet is about the size of my palm and I have small hands. This trip has reiterated the fact that I would be lost without this peg line while travelling. I now store it permanently in our cabin bag pocket so I never forget it. Highly recommended. The one star lost is for the suction cups' failure ... but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again. Don't think, just buy it. And make sure you take some liquid detergent with you.

Good line with no need for pegs, good hooks, but rubbish suckers

I love the twisted "pegless" concept, which worked brilliantly. The hooks can loop around something and hook back onto the line itself so that works. However the suction cups completely failed on every surface I tried except one. Given other reviews it clearly depends on the surface - I tried on tiles (tried dry, slightly damp and wet), glass & mirror. The only one that worked was a shower cubicle with a flat but frosted surface. It did do the job because of the hooks but be warned the suckers are not going to work everywhere.

Wonderful and useful pegless washing line

Used this pegless washing line on a recent holiday, brilliant. amazed at the amount of stuff I could hang on it, a few days socks and undies.

Very Practical!

A last minute buy before heading off to Asia with my wife and 5 month year old baby, this clothes line proved to be a life-saver in the quick "Wear - Wash - Dry - Wear again" cycle. This product includes sucker caps as well as hooks which is better than others I've seen advertised that only use hooks. The suckers were strong and allowed us to position the clothes line in ways which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. The clothes line is a double entwined firm elastic line with the twists allowing you to 'peg' the clothes without the need for any actual pegs. A life-saver given the number of bibs/clothes our 5 month year old went through, but also great for those who want to travel light. We were able to go swimming, wash our gear and have it dry by the end of the day ready for our next adventure. Couldn't be happier!
