Well... parts of it are useful...
Well, this product sounded and looked great for what I need. A place to do my hanging straight-legged raises and my one-arm pull-ups. The reviews seemed fine enough to give it a try so I got it. Now before someone gets all flustered and says that you aren't supposed to do one-arm anythings on these, they are not made for that, let me tell you. I don't really weigh much; 175-185lbs 6%-8% body fat on a 6'-4" frame thats not much. Fairly average. The pamphlet that comes with it says that advanced user can use a 5-25bls med ball for added resistance. With that being said I figured the model on the pamphlet must weight around 210lbs or so and if that is what they are marketing to than an added 25lbs would be around 117.5lbs on each handle... Now that I'm doing the math if I used the same idea but me weighing at 180lbs using one, than with both I'd be 360lbs. So that don't work too well. Never mind. Any hoo... I figured it should work and it did for two days. on the third day the handle split and just about sliced my hand open but the foam rubber grip saved me. Who'd a thunk that rubbers would protect us in so many ways, they really got us covered. ;-) couldn't help my self sorry. So I thought I'd just cut the other handle off and make a sturdier handle with metal and (the handyman's secret tool) Duct tape. Or just use duct tape. ah... I just love the Red Green show. Inspirations galore. I didn't like the original handles anyway. Because as I'm pulling up, the handle starts rolling and my focus on my lift becomes a focus on my fingers to hold on at the last joint. That design was flawed but no matter. The rest of the item is perfect. You just need to make some strong, sturdy handles. I gave these 2 stars because 1. I didn't necessarily use them properly. 2. the handles rolled during my one-arm pull-ups. 3. the rest of the product is highly useful and you can build your own handles on them. Don't get me wrong though. I am satisfied with this product. It will work for regular lifts.

Great idea, needs improvement
I love the ideas of this, as I travel for work and try to stay fit. These fit on most hotel bathroom doors. The only problem is that the anchor cracked after literally 2 uses. (In all honesty, I can and do still use them though, I just make sure I do really slow, controlled movements) They need to replace the flimsy plastic anchors and handles with a lightweight, durable metal or other material and then cover them. Then, this would be a 5 star hit!

Very convenient and effective
Pros: - Very easy to install and would fit on any door. - The wrist pads ensure a comfortable workout. - Offers an intense, effective exercise for the biceps and the back. Cons: - Difficult for the casual exerciser. - Need time to get used to it. This can be mounted and removed in a second, so installing it really isn't discouraging. In fact, you'll find yourself wanting to use it frequently, since it's quite a challenge, even for the pro! You might say it's at least two times more difficult than a normal chin-up bar, so if you're used to doing 10 back-to-back chin-ups, expect to do 4 or 5 at best. Using it was comfortable, but if you want to give yourself an initial jump momentum, which all beginners will have to do, you will make some noise when bumping in the door. As you progress, however, your jump will become much smoother and the bump will be almost negligible. The brief guide lists some tips and plans for beginner, intermediate, and pro levels. As a beginner, I found it very difficult to lift myself without relying on a momentum from a slight jump. Doing so is not wrong, as that's what the accompanying guide has as the beginner's plan. After finishing a few repetitions, you could really feel your muscles' temperature (especially biceps) getting hot and the blood flow increasing in your upper arms and shoulders, as well as the upper portion of your back. It really feels like you're making your muscles work quite efficiently. I would say, if you can commit to just a regular and modest routine with this, you'll be noticing results sooner or later. An exercise program that involves this, along with push-ups to exercise your triceps and chest muscles, would be a cheap, fast, and easy way to boost your upper body strength.

This is 2 pieces
This little device is 2 separate handles that are wedged between the back and front of a closed door. They can be spaced as needed for your comfort. There is no bar connecting the left and right handles. They are not connected in any way. The door **must** close and should have a lock on it for safety. If the door opens with any weight on it, you'll fall. There are pads on the grips and between your hands and the door - very nice. After a few reps, the straps connecting the front and back pieces have scrapped off a little paint at the top of my door. The other side of the door has similar scraping, but since I'm using a closet, damage doesn't matter. Wrapping all parts that contact the door may help prevent/reduce damage, but I haven't tried that. Wearing knee pads is probably a good idea until you have lots of control, so you don't damage either your knees or the door with every rep. Overall, this is a simple device that does what the picture shows for a small cost. It is sized for travel.

Best option for travel and good price, but may break
This pull-up system is amazing. It didn’t break on me UNTIL I tried using just one at a time (one arm pull-ups). I’m 190lbs, and needless to say it broke almost immediately, causing me to fall which luckily I was prepared for. The flat cord is just not strong enough for that. That being said, it COULD handle my weight no problem when I use both handles, and I will be reordering them! It’s excellent for travel, but I took off a star for durability.

FRAGILE
I bought a pair of these that I used when traveling. They lasted for over 5 years. One of handles/tubes cracked and could not be used. I just bought another one for this trip. First time using the new pair and one handle has cracked. I am about 185 lbs. I flipped it over so the handle was the anchor to finish the set. I love these for their lightweight, compact design; however, I will not buy another pair.

Bon produit, très durable. UN peu difficile à exécuter, mais avec de la pratique on y arrive.
