Decent, but hard to secure

Good weight and grips. Great for rounding edges on wood. Can be difficult to secure sandpaper so there it doesn't slide around. Maybe it's my poor technique, but I always end up with a little play for some reason.

They are made of hard rubber and work very well

They are made of hard rubber and work very well. You have to lift each end and insert the sand paper sheet. Two nail on each end hold the paper in place. When you first get it the end are hard to lift but with use it becomes easier. When you cut the sheet of sand paper cut so you allow enough paper to tuck in the ends over the two nails. They have not changed in fifty years but do a good job. The rubber is solid but has some flex. There are sanding blocks which are thin and blend but for auto body work they are not that good.

Great control for Horizontal surfaces!

The weight of this makes it very easy to use on horizontal surfaces - you don't need to press down (would be heavy to use on vertical surfaces). It was perfect for sanding the cabinet doors that we were refinishing. The size was great for my wife's hand, and the "nails" on each side hold the sanding paper very securely.

Rubber quality poor

Average price, stiff rubber and after short time got stiffer to point its impossible to get sheet in square and taunt. If i could i would return. Not recommended

Nice product, helped a lot with my sanding project.

Man, I wish I had had this when I started my sanding project. I did most of my stairs by hand just trying to hold the sand paper without a tool. Found this on Amazon and it was really easy to load they sandpaper in it. It made the sanding process go much faster and it didn't make my hands ache while using it!

Why did I wait so long to buy this?

I used to cut sandpaper sheets in half and use my hands to sand. Why? Especially with how cheap this is. Save your hands and buy one of these. It pays for itself after your first project. Holds the sandpaper tight and sands flat. Would buy again... whish I bought it earlier.
