Good for keeping an eye on your pool water quality.

These pool water test strips are easy to use and not very expensive. There are 50 test strips in the container. I test my pool water 2 to 3 times a week, so my container lasts quite a while.

Excellent test strips

I previously had the Clorox strips, but they never read clearly. These strips are very clear to read.

Best strip I have ever used

Lamotte test strip is best I have ever used. I have maintained the chemical levels in my pool for 20 years and I have never been completely satisfied with strip testing. That changed with the readings I obtained with this product. Very accurate when compared to my Taylor water/chemical test kit results. The colors used are easy to read and take the guess work out of chemical level. I have had several brands of strips that are difficult to determine the color match, not these. This will be the only strip test I purchase moving forward.

The test strips were fresh with an expiration date that was over 2 years in the future and they were reasonably priced. The FCL, TCL, ALK, and TH are fairly easy to read. But, I have a hard time reading the PH because the color on the pad doesn't seem to match up very well with the colors on the bottle in the OK range. I specifically bought the Insta-Test6 instead of the Insta-Test5 so I could test for CYA. The OK range for CYA is 40-100ppm. For me, this is too large a gap for the OK range since I would like to keep my CYA between 40 and 50ppm. Once my CYA gets close to 50 (as tested by local pool store), the CYA test becomes useless for me because of the large gap in the OK range.

Gets the job done

These are my go-to strips. No test strips are perfect, but I like that these test more factors than many others. And they are accurate, as long as you understand that strips by definition can only give you a ballpark reading. I've tested side-by-side with these strips and a water/chemical kit, and the strips are always in the same ballpark as the kit. You can't say that amount many other similar products. Since they give me a reading that I'm comfortable with, I use these much more than a chemical kit because you can't beat the convenience. Water chemical tests are such a pain to use. If I can get a quicker read, you can bet I'm going to use a strip thank you very much. These get the job done. Highly recommended.
