Quick wearing and squeaky.

I don't know how this product has so many positive reviews here. Here's the deal: The pads are relatively thin with very little material, and they wear very quickly for example compared to swisstop yellows. In wet conditions they lasted me only 3 races with moderate braking. The also have this tail that sticks out of them that is supposed to squeegee the rim but that wears down to nothing after like 1 ride. On my rims they squealed real bad in the dry. No tow in can help that because the material will wear down parallel to the rim after 1 ride.

Squeal for days.

First off I LOVE kool stop products, been using them for over five years. Had the salmons on my trek 4.5 with campy aluminum rims and they work like a charm. Switched over to full carbon wheels and got these bad boys. First ride out they stopped like I had aluminum wheels on. After a couple of test stops these things start to squeal, and when I tell you squeal I mean squeal, dead people started showing up telling me to keep the noise down. They also wear extremely quick.

Kool Stop pads have a good name for a reason, and I'm sure they're fine. But the pads Amazon shipped are not the pads in the picture -- they're flat graphite gray, not red and black.

Great pad in all conditions

I have these on all my bikes in various weather conditions from hot summer tri's to CX with mud they stop better than any other pads on Zipps or any carbon rim
