Anchors will hold if you can get them installed
I've used similar anchors in the past, but a different brand. Super simple to install, HOWEVER, getting the driving rod out of the ground is a B#$%@! Maybe my ground was too hard and it took too many swing of the hammer? I don't know what caused it, but we had to use a skid loader to pull the rod out and then the anchor came with it. We eventually made it work, but MYLANTA, it was much harder than it should have been.

Used in box
Packaging was beat up and 2 of the clamps were missing. One of the steaks had clearly been used (it had dirt and grass on it and the tip was dull). And the drive rod was clearly used. Customer Service was great! Sent me replacement parts immediately. Spikes drove into heavy clay soil pretty easily. I installed after 3 days of rain, so ground was as soft as possible. Per other reviews, I did drive rod into ground by itself to create an initial hole. I also sprayed the inside of each spike with WD40 before inserting the drive rod. I had no problem removing the drive rod once the anchor was fully installed. I am confident my shed is now well anchored!

The dirt makes all the difference
This worked exactly as advertised. I read all these reviews and took the advice to put small pebbles in the spike to help keep the drive bar loose. I moved the bar every 3 or 4 hits and only had it stick once.

Driving rod is useless
The rod this comes with to drive the anchors into the ground is completely useless. It's basically designed to be used only in loose dirt and soil. If you live anywhere that has any amount of clay, the rod will bend and deform before you can even get the anchor into the ground. You can literally bend this rod with next to no effort by hand. I ended up having to use rebar to drive the anchor into the ground, once I switched to rebar it went in pretty easily. The rod supplied was so malleable that it was absorbing the majority of the force into deforming the bar rather than driving the anchor. Using rebar let me pound into the ground with relative ease. Considering you can get the rebar, cable, and clamps from Home Depot for about 10 bucks, you are basically paying 25 bucks for the anchors. I suppose that's a decent enough value, but the annoyance and wasted time of dealing with the rod is why I gave this a low rating. Skip the rod and just use rebar.

If your not taking it down when the wind goes over 15 mph or leave it alone at times do each leg plus some outside straps .
These are perfect for setting up in the yard on grass and normal impacted fill . Like was said make sure you take the plastic ends off the driving rod and only use one end to hammer the other in the hole on the foot . Make sure you leave enough chord to fasten or loop . I used a cordless impact to tighten the clamps made it very easy with a 7/16 socket . When you hank on them they grab . I took off one star because unless you dig them out their never coming out . I have all ten legs anchored on the inside and 5 more pairs with tie downs over the top with anchors on the outside a combination of the spiral anchors and these . I will not worry if I am away from home and a 50 - 60 mph wind gust comes by . Not worth investing the money in a shelter and not anchoring it their like sails otherwise . With just the 4 anchors provided in my kit mine was lifting and moving six inches at times in just 15 mph winds . Now with every leg tied down with 1/8 aircraft wire and 5 2 inch truckers starps over the outside the top doesn't pillow causing more wear nor does it lift at all . Good luck the shelter is so much better if you do it right and I put a ground contact pressure treated plywood floor in it also so its nice . Cost another $450 but worth it . If you do the outside straps just get them firm not tight you don't want to stress the frame at all just keep the top from lifting up and sailing it . Just firm downward pressure .

Modify driving rod
Of course, first remove rubber boots from rod end. Using some sort of metal grinding tool, chmafer or round the end that will go inside the anchors for driving. The top end will flatten quite a bit from hammering but so will the bottom end. The rod is steel, the anchors aluminum. The rod will get mechanically stuck inside anchor and only fix is dig everything back up. Bench grinder, right angle grinder, file, whatever. Just take the sharp corner off the end of the rod that goes in the anchor. If you've got a power tool, just make that end hemispherical.

Missing parts & instructions
I purchased this item in October 2020 but did not get around to installing them before winter. So I just got at this project on the weekend and what should have taken less than an hour took over 3 hours and also cost me extra money. When I opened the UPS box this order came in, there were no instructions for use and no cable clamps that were advertised as included. It was very disappointing (& annoying) that I had to spend a half hour trying to find online instructions and then had to spend another 45 mins making a trip to the hardware store to spend more money buying parts (cable clamps) that were supposed to be included. I was using these anchors to re-anchor a garden arbor that had fallen last Fall. I am also glad I read others' comments/reviews on Amazon re watering the ground beforehand (to soften), making pilot holes, removing the rubber ends off driving rod, etc. I think all those tips added to our efforts. (The actual instructions offer very little info & no such tips.) However, we were unable to sink the anchors as deep as desired due to rocky soil (despite the advertising that that would not be a problem). I hope we got them deep enough to hold/work - time will tell. Overall, these seem to be a decent, sturdy-enough product and probably a decent option for less rocky soil conditions. I likely would provide a higher rating for this purchase if the instructions and cable clamps had been included - and if we were able to sink them through the rocky soil (as the advertising suggests).

Saved Gazebo in a Hurricane
I installed these hooks on a gazebo near the ocean front in Nova Scotia 2 years ago. A little bit of slack developed in the wire after the building settled. We just experienced Hurricane Fiona and the wind blew the gazebo off it’s blocks and towards the ocean. The anchors were the only thing holding it back. Getting more of these to tie down whatever else I have before the next storm! The pounding rod got wedged in the hole and is stuck. We used rebar to drive the other ones in.

Eine Zeile tiefer dann "made in China"... ah ok dann... Im allerbesten Fall für normalen Rasen oder sandigen weichen Boden zu gebrauchen. Finger weg.

Excellent for stablizing trees
Ordered product delivered quickly. Strong and easy to drive into soil using included steel rod. I used anchors to stabilize trees that had blown over during Dorian after I had brought them back to the upright position. Much easier and more stable than using wooden stakes.
