Can work for some
My physical therapist showed me how to use this tape for knee arthritis pain. I found it somewhat helpful. There are videos showing how to apply the tape. Can be used many different places. It’s worth a try.

But bad tape
But bad kinseo tape. Just make sure you buy the adhesive spray to help it stick, with any kinseo tape or it will come right off

I was more than skeptical...
because as a scientist (orthopaedics to boot!), I couldn't see how this could provide any benefit. Even some of my biomechanic friends were skeptical but when I had a severe case of 'tennis elbow" (lateral epicondylitis for those interested) in my dominant arm, my occupational therapist used this tape. It really does work-taking just enough mechanical strain off the inflamed muscles and tendons to help calm things down-that, of course, helped with pain as well. It is critical that you know how to apply it properly to get the most benefit...it is not an ace bandage! It is not to prevent movement in a joint which is the point of a big wrap but rather to take a mechanical load off the injured tissues. If you have had a wrap by a pro before or understand anatomy and kinesiology (the science of musculoskeletal movement), the tape can be applied at home. There are a few tricks but ultimately the way to do it is to figure out which movement is painful and then use the tape to support that movement. It also helps to add some stretch to the tape application, for example...to protect the major muscle group running from the mid-region of my right forearm to my elbow, the tape was applied over my 2 middle fingers (cut 2 holes) first with my wrist in a fully flexed position (arm on the table hand and fingers pointing to the ceiling) the tape was stretched to reach about 5-6 inches behind my wrist, then my hand was forced down so that the tape was taut , then pressed to stick. The tape then was gently stretched up my arm and around the outside (lateral) of my elbow to about 2 inches above the elbow in a straight, unflexed position. Remember to curve the corners of the ends of the tape with scissors to prevent the corners from lifting ( the sharp corners catch on everything, which significantly lessens the wear time). Also, don't take the paper backing completely off at first, in the example given above, stretch the tape slightly about 6 inches below the finger holes, which are 2-3 inches from the end of the tape (wish I could draw a picture for you!) and work with that part only, placing the tape over the fingers and firmly sticking to the palm, btw it really helps to remove any lotions or oils natural to your skin with an alcohol wipe) then when that is completely stuck down slowly work the paper off as you firmly press the tape down while moving it up the arm and laterally around the elbow. Hope this helps!

Not a Fashion Accessory
I use this tape because I had total knee reconstruction on both knees--it was either that or double knee replacement--after being hit sideways in a crosswalk by a driver who ran the light. I only use it on the right knee because the left knee seems to have recovered enough for riding the trainer at this point--which is all I can do until at least January 2012. I may need it on both knees for a few months after I actually start riding again. First I tried applying it myself before showing my physical therapist later that day. She said I did a pretty good job but showed me how to apply it correctly. The professional technique involved a lot less tape. I have seen this taping done for years in Japan--where I used to live--on all sorts of athletes. In Japan it is always applied by a professional, and usually on a professional. People don't go applying this tape on themselves without professional guidance. As an avid cyclist, the first time I saw this kind of tape in the United States was while watching the Tour de California on television, and there was an interview with one of these athletes who said it basically saved their career because after surgery they couldn't ride without it for a year or so. I immediately thought, "Well, now it's a fashion statement." I knew as soon as professional athletes were seen using it in the States, every numb-skull would want to tape up their knees just to show how hardcore they are. On the other hand, I'm glad this is available now because my surgeon and physical therapist didn't prescribe it but said it was a good idea once I showed up with it in hand, and they showed me how to apply it correctly, specific to my need. Listen folks, this isn't a performance enhancement. Taping your knees, elbows, back, and shoulders will not make you a better athlete or even look like one. When you add some accessory to your ride or yourself that you don't need--such as aerobars, a time trial helmet, or this tape--you don't look more serious, quite the opposite. It's about like wearing a cast for a broken leg that you don't actually have. BOTTOM LINE: There are plenty of books out there which can teach you when, why, and how to tape correctly if you don't want to spring for a doctor. Like anything fairly technical, there's nothing wrong with doing it yourself but you should do it with a mind towards safety and learning.

Love it!!
I got the "Red" beware its bright ass pink lol. But it works wonders. I tore my MCL and my Medial Meniscus, i am waiting on my orthopedic to finish my knee brace and thry put KT Tape on in the mean time and told me how to put it on and told me to be easy till my brace comes in but they didnt give me any extra tape so i bought the same stuff they gave me but Red. I absolutely love it! Im a waitress so i do alot of walking and stuff my knee didnt bother me at all today. No swelling, no pain! It is super sticky once its on so dont plan on taking it off right away lol. It will take skin with it. I recommend this magical stuff to anyone!!!

Just what the doctor recommended
Does a perfect job of wrapping my toe as recommended by my podiatrist. I do have slight allergy to adhesive but that is something I have to deal with.

If you regularly replace your tape the.n this is the one for you
Glue not as good as other and therefore starts to peel off quite quickly. Comes with very good taping guide.

It genuinely works
During the later stages of training for the L2B100k Trek I developed very painful Achilles tendonitis. Having looked on youtube at a number of taping options for the condition I bought this tape. I have to say I was quite sceptical of its claims but was desperate. Unbelievable results, having had pain kick in at around 20k, with my heels strapped up with the tape I completed the 100k without a murmur. In the run up to the walk for two weeks I tried various taping techniques to establish the best one and the tape easily stayed on for 3days. Need to wear socks at night to stop the sheets rubbing it though. Brilliant product amazing results.

Kinesio tape
Tried a cheaper brand, did not adhere too well, so bought the more expensive roll... 'et voila'... it sticks! Seems to help with my injury too (intermittent, so don't need to tape all the time)
