My 14 year old received this for Christmas and he loved it. He had so much fun putting it together and enjoys playing with it more than his other nerf guns bc he built it himself. Great toy!

KNEX meets Cyber Punk!

I grew up in the 90s with KNEX and loved the old classis sets-Big Ball Factory, Screamin Serpent, KNEXosaurus, and the bright colored suitcases. Now that I'm in my 30s, I still keep track of new releases and the new Cyber-X line does not disappoint! I could really go into detail on the Crossover Legacy, but I'll just stick to the highlights: -all classic K'NEX, no micro pieces at all -engineered well so the blaster holds together and is really strong -the main build is huge and is a semi-automatic dart blaster that performs just like it says -there are 7 different builds-the instructions for the 6 alts are posted on the Basic Fun! website -the alt builds aren't half-baked-they're all unique and some can be built at the same time -the rods and connectors aren't the standard rainbow K'NEX colors-they're mostly grey/black and orange -the builds actually look like real sci-fi blasters which is a huge step up from the old K-force line I would definitely recommend this set for any 90s kid, Nerf fan, or just any kid that likes to build and tinker!

Not easy to assemble

Not easy to assemble and becomes wobbly after palying it. But it works well.

Stopped working the second day.

This was a Christmas gift for my 11 year old. He specifically asked for this. He was very excited to build it and he had no problem at all doing so. The problem was the shooting thing. You have to put batteries and from the beginning we had problems with it. It would not always shoot. Then the second day it stopped working completely. We changed the batteries and still nothing. We are waiting on Amazon to send us a new one and I’ll update my review.

Very difficult to build

My 12 yr old son who loves nerf guns & legos thought this was an awesome idea. I got it for him for his birthday, and he was so excited to get it. But...ooh my...what a frustration & hassle it was getting it built! After lots of struggling & some tears, we've only managed to build 2 of the design options. Eevetually worked but not well & they are very fragile so not really able to play with them. My son usually whizzes through lego builds, but these parts just didnt want to go together correctly & kept popping apart as moved on to other steps. Not at all the joyful experience i was hoping for with the gift. I strongly do NOT recommend!
