Does What I want

I wanted a pullup bar that would be safe to use. There are many available that rely on rubber ends to be pressed into the door jamb, hoping that friction will keep them from falling. This isn't safe. This bar has cups that the bar's ends can fit in. You affix the cups to the door jamb, using the three screws to ensure a solid connection. You turn the bar, which causes it to extend. Holding it at the cups, you extend it into both cups, until you can no longer extend it. This forms a very secure connection. I have used this bar without it ever shifting or moving in any way. It is secure; the only way it's likely to fall is if the wood of the door jamb gives. I am pleased with this purchase. Would buy again; would recommend. 10/10.

Multiple setups for the bar.

Since you asked so nicely for feedback on the thank you card... ????. The bar is elegant in its simplicity, but what stands out compared to others is the end fixture guards to prevent accidental sliding. Firstly you can install it between any two vertical surfaces: trees, walls, etc. because the guards will keep it positioned while the pressure on both ends allows for weight redistribution on the sides. Secondly this design of course lowers the price. And thirdly since it's just a symmetrical metal bar you can use it on any level for multiple purposes. Good job guys. Thank you!

Easy to Position Securely

This was easy to mount with a level and by pre-drilling holes for the screws. The bar heavy and sturdy and easy to check and tighten if necessary.

Easy to mount and most important for me my doors are not a standard size they are wider than conventional doors. This adjusted perfectly and is sturdy. 10 Stars

Well worth the price

There’s a small entryway when you first walk in my bedroom. I wanted to hang a pull up bar there so I can work out in private. The specific location I wanted to install it didn’t have studs so I had to get 2 1x6 boards, cut them into squares and use 4 toggle bolts on each board to attach it directly to drywall. It’s extremely sturdy. Side note: don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t hang heavy things on pure drywall. I’ve done it for numerous things in my house. You just need to know how to disperse the weight. Anyway, I was a bit skeptical at first with how small the screws were for the mounting brackets but they held up very well after screwing them into the wooden boards. I’m not a light person and the bar holds my weight just fine. And it’s definitely more secure than the ones that use tension to keep it secure. Those pull up bars are prone to slipping off the wall so I would avoid those. Only two cons I can think of is, 1st, you have to adjust the bar so that it gets really jammed into the mounting brackets or else the bar will twist when you try to hang or do anything with it. 2nd, this is no big deal but I’m just putting it out there for anyone who cares. The “JFit” logo on the grip cushions is almost completely worn away after only hanging from it 5 times. All in all, a very good, sturdy product. The price is in the “cheap” territory so I thought the quality would reflect it but I would easily buy it for 10 or 15 dollars more.

Solid Bar But make sure it doens't twist while using it.

This is a solid bar. One improvement that they can make is to have some way to lock the bar. Keep it from twisting while in use. Maybe a set screw or something like that. If the bar twists, it can get loose.

Sturdy. Functional. Gets the job done

You have to screw the metal cups into your door frame, but that really isn’t very hard. Especially if you have a level and a drill. Use some tape on the back of the cups to stick them to the frame so you can temporarily position them. Install the bar and check that it’s level and that your hands have room above the bar. Remove the bar and screw in the screws with the tape still behind the cups if you aren’t concerned about the adhesive on your frame. If you are concerned, use a pencil to mark the cup locations. The bar is heavy and sturdy. The logo on the hand cushions came off immediately, but who cares? The hand cushions wrap around and have a seam which is fastened with Velcro. This wasn’t what I was expecting, especially since the seam is quite large, but it isn’t difficult to position the cushions so the seam isn’t in your way. And the removable function of the cushions is necessary because they have a non slip coating on the inside - meaning they can only be repositioned by peeling off the Velcro and redoing it. I think the very good non slip feature is worth a large seam. The build quality seems really good which is the most important thing in my opinion. I weigh 170 lb.

Great buy for the money

This bar is easy to setup, and comes with fittings for both chin ups and pull ups. Please note that you won't be able to use this product without screwing the fittings into the door frame. The screws are small, but you will need a drill to put them in. My only complaint is the grips are velcro straps, so, if they aren't positioned well, they can hurt your hands. With that said, the grips are soft and pretty good quality, so if they are positioned correctly, are very nice to use. It supports me very easily, and I am a 75 kilo male. Great buy for the money. TLDR; Pros - Inexpensive Good quality Built to last Cons- Grips can be finicky Will have to drill holes into your door frame.

Great value pull-up bar

In order to give a fair review, I've been using this product almost everyday (minus weekends) for over a year, so here it is. I purchased this product because my living space doesn't allow me to use a power tower (low ceiling) and other pull-up bars require a lip over the door frame. Installing this bar inside a door frame is a breeze, just twist until both ends press into the door frame. Also included are metal brackets that you screw in and extend the pull-up bar into for additional support. However, with adequate pressure the bar is very stable and has not slipped once for me (I weigh around 165-170lbs at 5ft11in). Since my purchase, only the grip (closest to the frame) has started to wear a little, otherwise it is in great condition (no rust, chips, etc). Only two downsides I can give/could find. First is that the foam grips are not movable. In my case, I always have one foam grip in my hand when doing pull-ups, and one foam grip in my opposite hand when doing chin-ups, so I suggest wearing gloves. Second, the black door grips leave a black residue on my white door frame, but it easily washes off with water. Overall, I definitely suggest this product to those who are in the same living situation I am in, and also want the additional benefit of its compactness during travel.

Good quality product with extra support and safety

Very easy installation, i twisted it into my door frame without the metal cap extra supports and it worked great, but i did screw in the metal caps after just for extra peace of mind and safety. Seems like its made very well and the grips can be moved around. Going to be too busy to go to the gym regularly in a few weeks so this will be very helpful so i can use this as part of my workout at home
