Would have been a five star except for the "demon" elmo paint job
I like the concept of the stoplight alarm. We even came up with a rhyme to help our son remember: "When the light is red it is time to rest your head. Green light? Ok! It is time to start the day." We really hope having the red light to indicate stay in bed will be helpful for our son versus some of the other light alarms on the market that are just on or off. It was easy to set up and came well packaged with clear directions. I had originally clicked the link for the train version but ultimately decided to spend a few more bucks to get the sesame street themed alarm. For the price I was a little disappointed in the paint job on the figurines. Big bird isn't really a vibrant yellow more of a dirty yellow. Cookie Monster's eyes aren't completely white you can see the base coat of blue underneath. The worst is Elmo's eyes. The paint ran down from the eyes to the top of the nose which I think makes him look creepy and doesn't look like the character at all. If I was giving it as a gift I would be more upset. As it is the alarm is on a high shelf so my son can't mess with the buttons and from that distance it doesn't look as bad but definitely knocking off a star because of it.

Love it for toddler!
We love it and find it really works but I always have to check the time bec after using it a few weeks the main time was a few minutes fast. I like that every night i can change the green light time to whatever i want very easily. My son love turning on the red light every night and is super proud when he stays in bed until the light turns green. We dont use the yellow light tho. Wld recommend

So fun my toddler looks forward to waking up to see a green light every morning!
My toddler loves this so much. He's two and a half and between the train and the stop light system, it has been a very effective and fun way to train him to stay in his bed for bedtime. I just wish you could have two settings for the alarm instead of having to re-set it for quiet time/bed time.

Wish the green light stayed on longer
Super cute clock but I wish the green light would stay on until you turn it off, rather than just one hour. My child is allowed to get up anytime after 5:30, but if she wakes at 6:31, the light has gone out and she thinks she has to stay in bed still.

Great Sleep Training Tool
Our daughter was having a constant problem getting up way too early for us, we purchased another type of clock from Amazon and it was a failure, however we read the mix reviews on this and were skeptical, after we returned the other one and got this one . A year later, we must say this thing is freaking awesome and amazing. We can actually get an extra 30 minutes of sleep and it may not sound like a lot but for a parent with a toddler its' an extra 30 minutes of not having someone jumping on your head, or screaming at you. The key thing we realized with this clock is; its a training tool and order for you to be successful at it you have to train your kid. With our daughter we taught her when the "Light is red, we stay in bed", and When the light is Green its time to get up. We set the clock up for 6:30 in the morning, but the key thing is at night we turn the alarm on together and its a sign that we need to slow down and get ready to go to bed. If she wakes up at 6:00 AM, we walk her back to bed and she lays there till the light turns green. She has now been conditioned to get a book or play with her dolls until the light on the clock turns green, which has been a plus for us. It took us about a week to get the concept down including sending her back to her room until her clock turns green in the morning several times, and within a month she would sit in her bed quietly until the light turns. We also found out with our daughter her standard wake up time is 6:30, and we tried to see if we can manipulate her into staying in bed later with the clock and it did not work. The problem is she is only willing to stay in bed for up to 30 minutes, and after that she gets restless, so my advice is to use this in conjunction with your kids natural wake/sleep cycle, as this will not work miracles. Our only regret is that we did not discover this early enough it would of saved us some extra months of sanity. Cons: One Setting: You can only setup one alarm time, there is no timer. It would be great if there was a timer setting so we could use this for nap time. Because there is only one time setting we only use it at night. The setup is kind of cumbersome which means once we have it setup we don't mess with it. Price: I think the price is kinda of high for what this product is, but I guess you are selling parents control over their toddlers wake-up schedule, and an extra 3.5 hours of sleep per week in our case. I guess most parents would pay more than the asking price for that.

This Amazon purchase saves the day (and the night) for my toddler granddaughter!
Once she grew into a "big girl" bed, she needed help in knowing when she should get out of bed (⁹and when she shouldn't!) This Sesame Street clock from Amazon was the answer. She learned what the traffic light colors meant, and has no trouble knowing for herself when it is time to "rise and shine, " while the smiling Sesame Street characters put a smile on her face each and every morning and at naptimes, too. I love the feeling of independence this clock gives her. She sometimes asks if she can sleep with it because she loves it so much. . .and I understand. Cute clock, great price, excellent parental help, perfect teacher, bright and cheerful greeter, and a necessity of life if you have a toddler in your house!

Works great once you set it up
Not too difficult to program and if you put batteries in it keeps the settings if it gets unplugged. Red light green light function is adorable and a great way to teach sleep and wake times.

Helps us all get more sleep
This has been a great tool for regulating my son's wake times. He is too young to read a clock, but this helps him understand when it is ok to get up. He also loves the car theme and the stop light. We just use the light feature as I prefer he keep sleeping if he's tired. The programming takes a little getting used to as we change it each time for his nap, but I had it down after a couple times.

Finally, something that works!
We've tried other clocks with our kids, trying to get them to stay in their rooms sleeping until a reasonable hour - since their idea of when to wake up doesn't match ours. Other clocks didn't work, but the idea of a stoplight is so simple - kids recognize them when we drive, and learn quickly that Red is Stop. The overall quality of it wasn't the best (residual glue around the figures that really take away from the appearance), which is why I took away a star. It would be great if you could program the start time for the "stop", and not just the wakeup.

Was ok while worked although was very poor quality. Only lasted 4 months. Was never dropped or any other damage, just stopped working one day. Standard troubleshooting didn’t fix…

Looks good but doesn't work with just batteries. Also.this plug will need a converter. Still hVent purchased one and don't know if it even works yet. Disappointing that the battery option doesn't work.

Great little clock
My son is obsessed with traffic lights and gets so excited to turn the light on. It works great. It's just cheap plastic so it's a bit pricy for what it is but if it helps him stay in bed it's worth it. So far it has been helping.
