The Best air grinder for the price
This is by far the best pneumatic grinder of its size and price by a large margin. With 20+ years of welding experience and working in as maintenance in a welding shop that reconditions railroad components and have tried multiple brands of pneumatic grinders in 4.5, 5, 7, and 9 inch varieties. Now I can only vouch for the past 3 months of continuous, daily use in a professional setting, with two 100 hp compressors, and automatic oilers setup but this thing has more power and has outlasted other name brand grinders and is still going strong. Now for my opinion, this does require some decent air compressor to feed it at a minimum 30 gallon or larger depending on your usage, for the longevity of the tool an air dryer is preferred and as long as you properly oil the tool it would last you a lifetime in the home shop environment, for comfort the diameter of the body is on average slightly larger than other grinders in this class but it fits the hands well with less vibration than others. For our use on average the 5 inch wheel lasts 200% longer compared to the 4.5 inch with only an increase of 20% in price with only negligible difference in tight clearance operations. So good.

Pretty decent for price
The tools are kinda crappy for changing disks. I wouldn't want to cut a bunch of stuff with this and have to change wheels all the time. U usually keep a wire wheel on it or grinding disk.

I do love how the exhaust is in the front blowing everything ...
I bought this Ingersoll Rand 422G 5-Inch Edge Series Air Angle Grinder on Amazon.com around April of 2015. I give this air grinder an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars. I will start off saying that the price is just right, it didn’t break the bank. This grinder is a bit bulky for my liking but it is solid. I do love how the exhaust is in the front blowing everything away from you. The tools provided to tighten down the disks could maybe be improved a bit, they were a bit too short. Power wise it did alright. It has enough speed to do whatever you want but it could improve on the torque aspect though. With medium pressure applied it does bog down. Always make sure to oil it before every use, all it needs is three to four drops. I neglected to oil it like I should and the veins inside the grinder itself wore out. Now with the slightest pressure it completely stops. There is also a little screw on the very end or the head were you can grease the gears. Always make sure that is tight as it has a tendency to wobble loose after a while. Maybe a little blue lock-tight can help to. All in all it’s a great buy at a friendly price if you don’t do heavy work with. I fabricate for a living and use it a lot. Would recommend to a friend if its just for medium use.

I'm happy with it
I'm happy with it. It does drain a 60 gallon tank pretty quickly, but I don't have a pressure regulator on it, so I believe I'm at 155 psi. Every once in a while I have to spin the wheel on the workpiece to get it to move, but I think a little grease in the head will fix that. Overall, it's a great addition to my metal working tools. Just get a good water separator, because running the compressor so much makes a lot of condensation in the air. And even with a small filer, it makes it out the exhaust. I would rate this as at least low to medium duty.

BEST GRINDER I'VE EVER HAD!!!!!
ok, a little bit of background, i am a welder and i work for caterpillar. i do a lot of heavy grinding on steel, aluminum, brass. concrete you name it. in the 10 years i have been in this business i absolutely love this grinder! its solid, well built, professional looking and most importantly performs well beyond the expectations i had for an air grinder. all the other welders that i have let use this thing are jealous. its better than my dewalt 7 inch grinder and my makita 4 inch grinder. i will be from now on buying ingersoll grinders. well worth it!

Good grinder.,With warranty and very affordable
Well built tool far superior to any electric grinder. Has good power and is smaller than the other grinders I have used in the past. Front exhaust is the way to go in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of the rear handle exhaust tools. All aluminum body. Best grinder you can get for 100 bucks

Not impressed
This thing is a piece. First thing. changing the wheel is a beech. Have fun trying to get the changing wrench underneath the wheel and then the unlock wrench is short. Bad design. Heavy...if your going to grind for 3 hours this will make up for not going to the gym. Thick...the hold is uncomfortable kinda like a big girl but gets the job done. Decent power. Mine lasted 10 month's in a welding shop. Don't recommend and won't buy again.

Amazing.
I love this little angle grinder. The fact that it's a 5" makes me even happier since I can run all of my 4.5" accessories as well with no problem.

This is an overall good quality grinder with a reasonable amount of power
This is an overall good quality grinder with a reasonable amount of power. Its not the most powerful grinder I have ever used but makes up for it with its small size and manoeuvrability. A couple things to note are that the guard does need an allen key to adjust its position and the flange nut doesn't accept thin zip discs. If you are planning on using thin zip discs you probably want to order a new 5/8"-11 flange nut with a depression on one side.
