These are labeled as YOUTH but I can tell you that they aren't going to fit the girls nearly as well as they fit the boys. They have a lot of sagging to the crotch area and she can wear them under her clothes but she won't want to wear them as her clothes because of the "big saggy crotch" that it will give her, according to my niece. I have to admit it was pretty saggy and even a little boy might find it a bit saggy too. Now the material is really durable and much higher quality than the standard old whites that we have had for the last 100 years. The cut is also much different in them, see a picture of the rear to see the cut, it is not right up the middle or on the hips, it's curved in the back. We have a Men's Large size of this item and it is made the exact same way and I can wear those myself and so can my husband. Both the big and little sets look and feel great and will keep you warm but this exact item just probably isn't designed with girls in mind but they do make them for girls specifically. *If this review helped you make an informed choice about this product in any way I would appreciate it if you take a moment of your time and let me know by hitting the Helpful button and letting me know. I appreciate that you took the time to read my review, Thank you!*

Poor fit for girls.
These thermal pants are lightweight and are well sewn. The fit of these pants are very off. These pants fit the correct tightness for my 10 year old daughter that is just beginning to transition into 10-12 girl sizes. The pants are too long for her, but the tightness around the legs is correct. The pants don’t fall down on her at the waist. There is a lot of extra room in the crotch which makes her not want to have them as her own. We will keep them and give them to her younger brother when he grows into them. The pants are made with Silvadur which I have never had in thermal underwear, so that will be really great for hunting and working outside in the cold months. This material will help when wearing to reduce odor causing bacteria. On my 10 year old daughter the large 14-16 size seemed to be the correct amount of stretch around her thighs, just the length and crotch was too large. I don't think they will fit her correctly when the length would be correct as then I think the fabric would be stretched too much. I really liked the hunter orange and the green camo together, it looks very nice. The cuffs fit her comfortably, however these too would probably be too tight on her when she is 14-16 years old. These pants are made from 100% polyester and it’s recommended to machine wash warm and tumble dry low. Do not use fabric softeners as it will impede the microbial properties of the Silvadur.

These are fairly comfortable, softer than expected, and roomy for my son.
These waffle-print, Indera Youth Thermal Underwear Pant in camo seem to fit my youngest son fairly well (9 years old), with a little room to spare. He usually wears a size 10-12 (L) in boys, so this was right in line with that sizing, although they have enough wiggle room to almost be in the next sized category. I actually like that there's a little room to grow and move around in them, but if you're looking for a snugger fit, you may want to size down. My youngest has sensory special needs, so I have to be careful about what clothing to get him. While he likes most thermal underwear for general wearing around the house in mornings/nights and to wear under clothing for colder outdoor play (and for what he likes to call, "Nighty-pants"), some of them can have an unappealing and rougher texture. He seems to actually like these fairly well, and they are surprisingly soft, as far as thermal underwear normally goes. That said, they are a little on the thin side. They're polyester, which explains a lot. This works for our purposes in spring/fall weather for sleeping in at night and possibly for light layering in chilly weather, but they don't appear to be particularly warm like many other kinds are. Overall -- they make a comfortable, light, breathable layer for underneath clothing (or for sleeping in), but I wouldn't necessarily rely on them to be extra warm for more intensely cold weather conditions.

Antimicrobial technology!
These thermal pants are treated with Silvadur, which causes them to inhibit the growth of odor causing bacterias. That is a great feature for a garment like this, that is worn close to the skin, and might get sweaty. My son usually wears a 10, and naturally these are big in the waist for him as the package says "large 14-16." I would say they are not true to size though, because the ankles are very slim, and it took a little effort to pull them over his small feet. Once they were on, they were ok. The material does have a bit of stretch to it, and the pattern paired with bright orange stitching is awesome. They are very soft and lightweight too. According to the package, there is a matching shirt sold separately.

Cut for boys but will work for anyone
These are labelled for "youth," but the contrast stitching and opening at the crotch area clearly indicate that these are cut more for boys than girls. My daughter still wears them, but she definitely has to wear them as underwear and not leggings. She says they are comfortable and warm. The fit is snug enough that she can wear them under jeans and they keep her toasty (bearing in mind we get snow in our area of Southern California, but I don't think we ever actually get weather that others would call "freezing."

Comfortable. Decent quality.
These Indera Youth thermal underwear are decent quality and do their job under clothing to keep warm. They are pretty much long Johns which always run small just like these do so make sure to get a size up at least. The boys loved the pattern of them. They said they were very comfortable. Soft too. They wash well. Little shrinkage. The crotch is a little too saggy on both in a weird way so I had to dock a star for that. Otherwise I liked them and would recommend them.

Tight in the legs for some users
These are good quality thermal underwear. I'm not sure why underwear needs to be in a camo style, because they are usually hidden under other clothing :). Best fit for boys with fairly slender legs. Material and construction quality are pretty decent.
