useful if you mop a lot
I will start this much the same as my review of the previous model: This is not a vacuum. It sucks water. It does not clean up debris that isn't dissolved in that water. If you are content with a quick vacuuming of your floor and only find yourself mopping during "spring cleaning" or a few other occasions then you will likely just see these types of more electric mops than vacuums as a needless extra step rather than useful. If you mop a lot or want to clean better than your typical vacuum and hand mop they can be a great additional cleaning tool. If you want to replace your vacuum and mop completely you will need something considerably more expensive that is capable of doing both jobs fully. Second: REMOVE THE CARDBOARD! I failed to do so on both hoover models despite a sticker on this one. I checked the brushes where the cardboard was previously and didn't see any. Turns out it's in the suction cover on this model. If someone says their new vac refused to pick up water they probably failed to remove the cardboard blocking the suction. We have 4 large, heavy shedding dogs with 1 getting old enough to have problems making it outside and one younger one that decides to copy the older dog. We also have several cages of chinchillas that like to throw bedding dust, poop, and food out of their cage. Our house is all 1800's hardwood or vinyl. We started with a hoover floormate. It was awesome compared to hauling a mop and bucket around. Often 2 buckets so I wouldn't have to dirty my clean water and end up changing it as much. We probably save as much on cleaner in a year or 2 of using these mop/vacuums compared to buckets full of water as the vacuums cost. Unfortunately the motor on the floormate died quickly (probably death by dog hair) and it cost about as much to ship it back as to buy a new one. So we bought a bissell crosswave. The crosswave has benefits and negatives compared to the hoover versions. in the end I found the bissell great for quick, light cleaning but mostly useless for thoroughly cleaning our old wood floors. We finally had the extra money to buy a new floormate and saw it was discontinued for this model. The powerdash is very similar to the floormate. It seems less prone to clogging by pet fur. It has much stronger suction than the crosswave. That may be due to design as much as the motor. The powerdash has a narrow strip in front of the brushes that it sucks water up into with a rubber/plastic squeegee type edge on it. The bissell crosswave has a roller brush and sucks water behind the entire thing without a lower front edge. On a very flat floor you can feel the resistance from the powerdash sucking itself down on to the floor. The bissell crosswave will pick up dog fur with ease and even bits of large dog food or other small debris. The hoover powerdash will just push the debris around in front of it and clogs quickly with things like pet fur if not cleaned after nearly every use. However, the crosswave is more a light rinse for the floor that removes some surface dirt and obvious mess. It also does not put out enough liquid for dried on or larger messes so we have to keep a sprayer on hand to apply extra floor cleaner. The powerdash will get cracks, uneven areas, and ground in dirt much better than the bissell and leaves less water behind despite pushing more water out. The brushes also seem to scrub the floor much better than the roller. but you will need to vacuum the floor of all visible clumps of dirt, dust bunnies, spilled pet food, cat litter, etc... first. I would not trust either brand to fully clean grouted tile but the powerdash would do a much better job on uneven surfaces. If you have messy pets, messy children, allergies, or just like to keep things cleaner than most the powerdash is a good choice to simplify frequent mopping and pick up more dirt or allergens. None of these mop vacs are a fast way to clean a whole room. They must be pushed slowly to have time to fully clean. They are quick at cleaning up small contained liquid messes and will suck up a considerable amount of liquid in seconds.

Love it, when it works
Would have rated it better had it been in service more than a year. Sadly the plastics have not held up and its just over a year old. The parts I need are unavailable. Gonna be quicker to order a new one. I understand things break when used, but the design could be more durable.

Does a great job, easy. My first one did not last very long.
I have all tile floors and several dogs plus cages of birds. We wash floors 2x per week. This machine does a great job, much better than other brands I have tried. My first one broke after only a few months, but I bought another of the same again because I like the job it does so much. Hopefully, the second one will last longer.

Not enough suction & too heavy
My box was damaged. Scratches were on both tanks. The machine had no suction. Then after reassemble it did start picking up some water. Had to make numerous passes to get water out of grout lines. The front of the cleaner is 3" high and is too high to go under my kitchen cabinet baseboard area. Weight is questionable at 12 pounds. I use professional doctors scales and it weighed 13.25 pound + 4 pounds for the .5 gallon water. 17+ pounds. Brushes are soft. Had to go over areas multiple times. Brushes have to be replaced & are $30. I need to be able to get at the edges of the tile under the cabinets and it will not reach that are which is where the tile is dirtiest. I love my hoover hard floor steamer but not this.

I like it
I've had many of these through the years and this is the newest model. The quality has definitely declined, it's lighter cheaper plastic and doesn't have the suction only feature it used to. Although it seems to work fine, I still like it and use it often.

Works well
I got this because I have a baby that just started crawling and I noticed after vacuuming and mopping I’d still find little bits of dirt on his hands. Decided to mop and use this right after tonight and cleaned this much dirt up out of one room! It’s a slow process as it takes a few passes to suck all the water up. But I definitely think it’s worth it.

Make sure to buy warranty!!!
The product does work it does clean the doors may need to pass it a few times just like when vaccuming a carpet. Sometimes the Lil holes where the cleaner comes out from may get clogged just use a needle or something similar to unclog them. My only issue that I have encounter which I highly recommend to get the warranty which I did not unfortunately it's that after 9months or so before a year it just stops working out of no where. It just does the first kick to start and shuts off completely like if there is a fuse internally or something that blows. I opened it but there is no switch. So have to buy a new one or new brads. In case if anyone wondered I used to use it for about 30 min straight about once a week or every two weeks.

Pet powerdash
Here is my honest review, it would clean better if it had 2 water sprayers at the front of machine, that way it could suck up more dirt. It is slow going because of the single water dropper at back of machine, you have to move slow. I noticed after I emptied dirty tank for the first time and rinsed it out thoroughly. The second use I saw small dirty water drops, so I'm guessing I will have to make sure both dirty side valves are wiped down on tank and machine. It does clean up extra dirt then a mop does, but just wished it had better sprayers up front and the brushes scrubbed harder. You do want to rinse dirty tank and squeegee out often if your whole house is tile, because pet hair builds up and blocks good suction. But over all it does pretty good so far ( 3rd use) I will come back and give another review a few months down the road.

Not the best
Hoover is off my list. The case is cracked, the handle is scratched it looks like it was repackaged. Best of there is no solution to be bought anywhere everyone is sold out even hoover money down the drain

One stop mop replacement.
Ok first off, all you people who can't attach the front cover properly do that. then turn it on, and lower it into position using the foot lever. This is how the device works. some people do not understand this. its awesome.. soap is a little pricey, and it really really reallllllly could use a wand attachment.. or a whole smaller unit that's similar to this but fits around toilets. I'd buy it.

Many problems with machine
Handle was too loose. Fixed it. Water only coming from one side cannot fix it for now. Will need to return probably. Update. I found a broken (cracked) piece with the water distribution and that is why it comes out only on one side. The broken side. So I was sold a defect machine. Will return the item today. Update2: got a new one and it is fine. So i went From 2 stars to 5 with this one. Best results for me at 3 secondes by 1 linear foot. Last picture show exact same surface from last week recleaned with new machine. It is hard to believe it is still so dirty. Does a very good job.

Works great
Cleans my floors so good. I find mopping hard with my bad shoulders but it's easy with this. Suction is great as long as you put it together properly. Only 4 stars for maneuverability but it's decent. Only downside is my one dog slips and slides because the floors are so clean lol
