Outstanding adjustable Plating Food Ring Mold! Performs exceedingly well!

I am a highly experienced Home and Personal Chef. One of the most difficult tasks other than creating great food is plating that food for presentation. This adjustable ring mold is perfect for creating unusual and visually appealing food towers as well as using for desserts and pastry circles. The various diameter settings meet just about any need and the high-grade stainless steel resists corrosion. Easy to clean and adjust, it is a perfect tool in the kitchen. So many uses! The pictures attached to this review show a food tower I made for some entertaining we did recently. The ring mold worked perfectly for creating a tower that consisted of a Japanese sticky rice base with the next layer of cubed avocado and cucumbers. That was followed by some cubed and marinated Ahi Tuna Poke and topped with chilled shrimp. It was like an oversized California Sushi Roll and our guests loved it. This would have been virtually impossible without the use of the ring mold! This is a very clear FIVE STAR winner, and the best adjustable mold I have ever used. I can honestly and very heartedly give it a strong recommendation...and the price is a tremendous value! Souffle pancakes!

A bit pricy for one ring mold in my opinion, but quarantine made me do it. I used this to make souffle pancakes, MAKE SURE you grease this puppy throughly with a thick coating of butter or Crisco if you're using it for pancakes. I had a heck of a time with getting most of my pancakes out, leaving a baked on residue that was a little tough to clean off. It is also not the easiest thing to flip since it gets hot, but with some practice it works ok though. The pancake shown was after several failed attempts and some of it still stuck, lol ????

Perfect if you don’t need a handle.

Attempted to make fluffy Japanese pancakes in this. It mostly worked - I myself failed as a user. If you are using this mold for something hot in a pan - you better have a system already figured out on how to lift it or flip it. That metal gets hotttt. The only thing I wish it had was a handle. If you are using it for cold things - you are more than likely going to be more than fine. Product is exactly as pictured.

Fluffiest Japanese pancakes! Just like on the internet.

Bought two of these molds to make the Japanese pancakes I keep seeing all over the internet. Apparently I didn’t make them fast enough because my husband woke up and made them for us. He used the recipe on Tasty. They turned out great. Light and fluffy. Make sure to be patient and whip those egg whites into stiff peaks. Just be aware that they’re like regular pancakes- the first batch always comes out the worst. We had only bought two molds and we really liked them, so came back today to buy two more. Four will fit in a large frying pan. Next up, we wlll be making eggs in them for homemade egg sandwiches. These molds were sturdy and I threw them in the dishwasher and they were fine. Definitely recommend.

OK addition to my cooking tools

Affordable and serves its purpose. I like a lot the feature that allows me to adjust the size so it can have multiple application. What I found odd is that I have to wash it and clean it soon after use otherwise food will stick to it and make it difficult to remove, that is the case of avocado for instance. Another thing is that the bottom is not 100% even so food may leak if you put decent pressure. They are not show stoppers and for the price it is a good helper.

Handy kitchen tools

I bought two of these rings to help me dress up my platings at home, and I like them a lot. So far, I've used them to plate an elegant stacked chilaquile, and was able to do it in seconds with no specific knowledge of how to use a form. Then I rubbed them with olive oil and put them in a saute pan, allowed them to heat with the pan, then fried the most perfect round eggs in them. From now on, everything in my house will be served in a stack - ha ha! They really will come in handy, though. These rings are made of what seems to be very high quality steel, go through the dishwasher with no issues, are inexpensive and make my food look like it comes from the kitchen of a professional chef.

Bent uneven rings

Ordered 2 rings. Both uneven and not circular. These are priced higher than other options yet yield no quality assurance. Update: I was sent two more rings and they are absolutely perfect. The strange thing was the package was a bit different. The rings were wrapped in plastic bags. They are close to perfect circles and they lay flat on pans / flat tops for muffins, batters and other things.

Sturdy but the ends are not completely flat.

This food ring is made from sturdy gauge stainless steel sheet metal with the seam welded together and then polished. The weld joint has contracted forming a visible gap when you place either end of the ring on a flat surface. If you use this ring as a form for making fried eggs for English muffin breakfast sandwiches you will get some leakage through the gap between the ring and the frying pan. The ring itself doesn't have any sharp edges so it is easy to wash/clean.

Really Sturdy, real deal, not flimsy at all

I was hesitant about the price vs the cheaper metal ones, but this is the real deal, they are solid in construction. Pay th extra few dollars and you'll get a product that will last a lifetime.

High priced but works well

Works well. Very high priced for a simple piece of stainless steel though... Has a dent in it, it isn’t perfectly round. It’s just ok, really.
