They're okay.

I wanted to like these but they don't really function the best for me. I was hoping they'd help keep my hand from cramping, but it was too much work fooling around with it and readjusting every few minutes, so I gave up. Might be good if you have arthritis or something.

Not great if you like to thread your yarn below the knuckle

I used this on my size 7 pointer finger and it started to cut off my circulation in less than a minute. It does fit well above the knuckle, which I’m sure is how it’s intended to be used, however I prefer to hold my yarn at the base of my finger. If there was a bigger ring size option, I would love this product. It’s so easy to change out the attachments for different sized yarn and the quality is great. Yarn does glide through very easily and it will definitely save your finger from yarn burn.

Hurts a bit while wearing the ring

It hurts when I'm crocheting and my fingers aren't that large.

Love the interchangeable caps

I tend to pull my yarn very tight and this causes my hands to get unhappy while crocheting. With this, my hands last a lot longer. As an example, three hours would be my limit before. Now I last half a day easily. It took me about an hour to get use to the feel of the ring on my finger and to adjust my yarn to stay in the hooks without sliding off (recommend having your yarn at an angle so it stays in the hook easier). I haven’t used it for multiple strands of yarn yet so I can’t review on using all three hooks at the same time. If you are using a very bulky yarn (blanket yarn) it may be too big for the largest hooks. Conversely, if you are using crochet thread (1.5 mm hook size) the smallest hooks may not hold the thread nicely without doing an deeper angle. Note: My yarn wasn’t as tight so my loops were looser / wider as a result. I also use a yarn bowl to keep my yarn balls unraveling the way I like them. Hope this helps others

Great

I mainly use it to keep the yarn from rubbing my finger and making it sore. It is a little tight for my finger but I put it on my chapstick when I’m not using it and it works fine. Already recommended to my sister.

Great Idea, BUT

I was excited to get these Boye yarn finger guides, the manufacturer name alone tells people it will be a quality product. Although I was somewhat disappointed once I started using it. The guide works perfectly for keeping the yarn in position and securely on your finger. The only problem I can see is the design has a flaw, the openings for keeping the yarn in place are small and only good for light weight yarns to pull through easily. I started a project using a 4-ply "worsted" yarn and the "drag" was horrible restricting the "feed" of yarn to my hook which caused me to make tighter stitches because it was not freely flowing through the opening. I will still use it for projects using light weight yarns. So I am off searching for a finger yarn guide that will work for heavier yarn weights and sizes.

Good idea, poor application.

I have small hands and fingers, yet, the ring barely fits. Poor circulation of the blood leads to discomfort really quick. At this point, I'd rather have the wool do it.
