LOVE THESE SPEEDO WATER GLOVESof all the gloves I’ve tried, these are the easiest to put on
I had a pair of these Speedo gloves several years ago and for the life of me I cannot remember where I put them. I went on Amazon, did a search and found another brand that had 2 pairs of gloves for the price of 1 pair of Speedo‘s. I read the reviews and aside from a sizing issue, they seemed to be OK. Nope! I ordered the other ones and the stitching was already coming out as soon as they came out of the box, so I returned them and ordered my (happy sigh) standard Speedo gloves. They are extremely easy to put on and stay put on your hands, They are extremely easy to put on and stay put on your hands, they wear well and just feel good. I guess everybody’s hands are different, but I am a larger woman and wear an 8" bracelet, which will tell you that I should take a medium size. In these gloves I ordered the small and they are absolutely perfect.

Great resistance/propulsion with these gloves, but with a strong odor
I bought these for my husband as a gift as he's always wanted a pair. The fit was good and they worked great at propelling him through the water, and providing resistance. I think these gloves would be great for anyone without hyper-sensitive skin or skin issues. However, they had a very strong chemically smell and he has something like eczema -- actually allergic contact dermatitis on his hand, and this caused irritation to him. I'm giving 4 stars because on most people they will be great, but they weren't for us.

I also find these gloves very useful. Additionally
The five stars are for probable durability. I also find these gloves very useful. Additionally, my return was handled extremely efficiently. Fit/size: I can see 4 potential issues with getting the correct size in these gloves. How wide is your palm (most important). How thick is your wrist (somewhat important). How long are your fingers (mostly unimportant). How thick are your fingers (mostly unimportant). This following size chart (from the Speedo site) addresses palm width: AQUATIC FITNESS GLOVES SIZE CHART S M L XL 8.0cm 8.5cm 9.0-9.5cm 10.0-10.5cm Note: Width: Measure horizontally across the palm. (Although my palm is about 9.5cm across, squarely in the Large category, this size would have been to large for me.) This criteria for fit is the most important. If the gloves are too large in the palm, they will feel loose on the hand. I purchased two pairs of Speedo swim training gloves, one XL and one M, for my wife and I. I returned the XL, partly because they were too big and loose on the body of my hand. I now use the medium size purchased for my wife. This pair is also a bit loose. This becomes especially evident when swimming. I think the wet material tends to stretch, fill with water, and they feel like they balloon out a bit. I have fairly small wrists. For the fit, this somewhat/slightly important. I think the size of the wrist opening and the position of the velcro closure is related to the glove/palm size; i.e. XL has a larger wrist opening than the Small size. Not only do my Medium sized gloves seem a bit too large on the palm, I feel like, in order to keep the glove on my hand, I should adjust the velcro closure to the minimum aperture size. (two downsides to this adjustment: the velcro makes limited contact and the excess strap flops around on every stroke). Length of fingers: I have not found it useful to make a size comparison to other kinds of gloves. I have what I think of as large to very large hands (at maximum spread, tip of thumb to tip of little finger = 23.5cm). It is difficult for me to find work gloves that fit. I have (literally) tried on many hundreds of pairs of work gloves. When gloves do fit, they are almost always XXL size, and even those are often too small. I own about 10+ pairs of winter gloves, all XL and XXL. Perhaps the difficulty is long fingers? (middler finger, right hand = 9cm). While fit is critical for me with gloves with fingers, it is not an issue with with the Speedo fingerless swim gloves. Whether my fingers protrude from the gloves .5", or 1.5", does not seem to substantially affect either comfort or function. Size of the finger holes: the finger holes on these medium gloves are also a bit too large for me. This seem to affect the way the gloves function: a strong forward stroke seems to push back the material around the edge of the finger, creating resistance. Also: water seems to enter the glove around the fingers, creating more resistance. However, I do not find this a problem. I have to work harder against the resistance, and that is why I am using the gloves. Durability: I have used these about 10 times while swimming and snorkeling in both ocean, and pool. I have not noticed any wear issues. Note: These gloves may not help you swim faster. I have noticed, especially when snorkeling, that the greater surface area these gloves provide does seem to give me more power, at least for a few hard strokes. When swimming laps, the greater resistance makes me work harder (which is good, right?), but it does not increase my overall speed. Indeed, my time for ten laps increases. When I remove the gloves, however, it feels like I can fly through the water. (neighboring swimmers have assured me that this was not the case).

I love these....
These gloves are excellent at protecting my hands against the cement walls the pool has.

Incorrect Size Chart
I measured the palm of my hand and based on Speedo's sizing chart I would wear a size L glove. That's what I ordered and it was to large. I exchanged it for a medium, and it's to large. I think their chart is for men. Now I have to make another return for a size small. Each time I make an exchange, Amazon makes me pay for it and I don't think that's fair. Speedo needs to print a sizing chart for Women.

Adds to my water workout
I compared the Speedo to other brands and sent the others packing back to Amazon. These gloves are super comfortable and add resistance to my water aerobics workout just as I had intended. The size large fits well. I initially gave these gloves a 5 star rating. I have been using them in my salt water pool aerobics class on a regular basis since September. I have rinsed my gloves after every session. This week, the neoprene on the gloves is starting to deteriorate. Now not so high on these gloves, but would buy again because of the good fit and the resistance offered. Be aware of short life for your gloves. I went back to the description provided to see if there was a guarantee associated with longevity. No such luck. Gloves now falling apart. Ugh@

The Winner !
I now seem to have bought every make and model of this type of swimming glove on the market: (1) Speedo with velcro wrist cuff; (2) Speedo without wrist-cuff; (3) Aquasphere with wrist cuff and these un-branded ones. I swim quite seriously (100 lengths about 4 times a week taking me about 50 minutes per session). This type of product doesn't greatly increase your speed, but definitely gives you a serious upper body workout into the bargain ! I have counted that without the gloves it takes me one less stroke to complete a length than with them, but after the first few times you use them you really feel it - thereafter you begin to build up muscle tone to compensate. The problem with the velcro-wrist type is that the velcro has a habit of wearing loose (and no, I haven't over-tightened it). This can become a bit irritating. By contrast those without the wrist cuff can wear loose over time (buy a slightly smaller size to allow for stretch over time). My winner is the Speedo with velcro wrist cuff: the cuff hasn't worn out after a couple of weeks use. Moreover the more solid rubber 'hand sole' gives greater resistance than other brands. Second on the list would be these unbranded ones, which seem to have a stronger velcro strapping. Third the aquasphere model and finally the speedo without the wrist band. In fact if I'd bought a size smaller of the Speedo without the wrist band these might have been my favourite, but lost out for not providing much resistance...... So there is a full review of all of them....!

Nice quality but sizing too big otherwise a 5 star glove
Good quality glove but sizing is way off. I ordered a small because of reviews and they are still big on me. I usually wear a medium glove. Because of size being too big it is a little more difficult to use in water. If is wasn't for sizing I would have rated a 5 star.

Good product let down by poor quality velcro
It is a good glove for swim workouts less so for aerobics. The issue is the velcro keeps opening, more so on the right glove but it does do it on both gloves during the course of my training session and hence have to stop to refasten the velcro. The one thing I did like was the wider web on the fingers. I tried a different brand - velcro was excellent - better suited to water aerobics than swimming

Aqua fit
Very good for aqua aerobic exercise. Not just for swimming fast. Open end fingers so big or long hands are easy fit with velcro cuffs. So desirable they were stolen from my luggage.
