Great beginner gloves, still holds up after 2 years
Great Beginner Gloves

certain martial arts require certain "types" of gloves
I really liked these gloves. we had to go a size up from regular-those were too small, and we returned the original ones, the next size up fit well. my son is 14 and lean. however my son's class is a tae kwon do class and the ATA has specific requirements on what gloves they'll allow for sparring and these didn't meet the criteria. (no-go per his chief instructor) I went with 4 stars only because we did't actually get to use them, but I thought the design looked good both for protection and "breathability" . we're new to martial arts so depending on what sport you're using them for these might be perfect for you. on the bag they have the california prop 65 warning. -which you can look up- california dutifully labels a lot of products based on the materials that comes in them-, if that would be a deal breaker for you, fyi. then again, i don't know that any products that I've purchased originating from outside the USA are even required to be labelled with that info. (I have some purchased some nifty rings of questionable metal)

First Timer
For my first set of training gloves, I'm quite surprised at how comfortable they are. I like that I can still use my fingers when wearing them. I do a lot training by myself and it's nice being able to get my gloves on and off without looking like a circus act....my boxing takes care of that.

Not sparring gloves
I'm quite new to MMA, but I spent 10 years in Muay Thai and Kick-boxing. The one who wrote this in the description "Advanced 4-layer foam composite offers the same shock dispersing capabilities as 16oz", obviously didn't see 16 oz gloves in his life. Those gloves are NOT good for a full contact sparring. Gloves are ok for some drills with light punches. If you want to have a serious sparring, I suggest you use normal boxing gloves. Regarding size: I'm 175 cm and 75 kg. I bought size M, but I feel that I should actually buy L. Especially if you want to use hand wraps. Overall quality is good. Gloves sits as it should.

Top quality with a great fit and feel
Top notch design on these gloves. Genuine leather and perforation under hand. Stitching is solid too. I really like the fit and feel too. Be advised my hands are small and the regulars fit perfectly (I'm 5'4" 155lbs). I've been fighting for a long time and I do know what quality fight gear looks like; these fit the bill. Combat Sports has always been one of my fav fight gear companies too. They don't skimp in quality and they seem to stay away from gimmicky marketing stuff. I also bought the cheaper (no -leather) version too for my wife. They were also good quality and look like they'll last awhile, but still no comparison to these leather ones.

Sweet gloves. They run small though
Love the feel. They run really small though. They also scratch people with the lip running down the side of the palm wrist area. No biggie. Overall love them. I just wish they were bigger.

High quality sparring gloves!
Bought these for my fiancee who has recently gotten into Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (the real stuff, not the watered down sport BJJ). Since we occasionally practice both defensive and offensive striking on the ground, she needed a high quality pair of well padded sparring gloves. These fit her well and offer both safety and ability to still grip her training partner as needed. The white color cost me about $8.00 more than the black ones, but she's a girl so she thought it was worth it.

Not a jack of all trades
I've used these gloves for years. At first, I bought them because at the time (2006) this was the best glove around and most of my training partners had it. It was the gold standard for MMA gloves. My first pair was great and I never had an issue with them. I bought a new pair after a few years off from training and I have to say, I'm not in love with them. The old gloves, we're work horses and withstood all types of training. This new pair for some reason does not hold up well to hard striking, specifically heavy bags, pads and dummies. Not sure what it is, I've worked on my form with them and I still torque my wrists in weird ways that I don't even do without wraps or gloves. The one thing they are good for is sparring. They have a great padding that doesn't beat up your partner much and they're good for use in submissions and wrestling. Pros: Looks great Quality material Great padding for sparring Cons: Bad construction for heavy strikes

Best MMA hybrid gloves
Best MMA hybrid gloves, they can be used for sparring and demolishing the heavy bag. The fit is perfect, I have been using them for 6 months of HEAVY usage, almost everyday before they give up the ghost.

A great product
I have used the gloves daily for a couple weeks. They are holding up perfectly so far. They have plenty of padding and gives you use of your hands for grappling.

Padding Is Way Too Stiff
Pros: - Well constructed. - Good materials. Cons: - Padding is too stiff even for light sparring. - The finger loops are way too rough on the skin. - I followed the sizing chart from their website. Runs small. Needs lots of breaking in. It's hard to even keep my fists closed. I just received them and I will be returning them.
