My hands are toasty!
I purchased these bar mitts for bike commuting into the early winter in Minnesota. Who knew that they would make such a huge difference? I just wear a very light pair of gloves to ride when I have the bar mitts, so I feel like I have good control. It is very easy to get your hands in and out of them - I know some people, including myself, were a little concerned about emergency situations - but no issues whatsoever. I can easily brake, adjust e-bike controls, and make hand signals for turns with no problems. They were also very easy to install. I just removed the mirror from its stem and slid the bar mitt right over it, then screwed the mirror back on. It just took a few minutes to get it all figured out. Highly recommend if you are a cold weather rider.

keep hands warm in the winter!
easy to put on and remove; blocks wind and snow from your hands. on really cold days, there's still plenty of room to wear gloves, but on less cold days, a liner pair of gloves is enough because of the protection the mitts offer

Help make it through Iowa winters
These Bar Mitts work very well. They stop most of the wind and extends bike riding through much of Iowa winters.

one set had bad stitching
But it was cheerfully and quickly replaced with a set that was fine. Thanks!

Incredible!
These are amazing. They block the wind so well I can ride comfortably in 27°f (-3c) temperatures with no gloves! Previously, my fingers would be cold with gloves after a 20 minute ride. At the very least, for someone more sensitive fingers they’d let you ride with very thin gloves. Install is also pretty easy, so while I leave them on all the time I don’t think it’d be a big deal to take them off and put them on more frequently if you needed to.

Very warm!
Initially I was concerned that these wouldn’t be warm enough as there’s no insulation. However, they work superbly! Even in low 20s Im still be comfortable with my fall gloves which aren’t heavy. In fact after a while my hands begin to be overly warm. Putting them on/off is very easy.

Warm & Dry Without the Bulk
I had been researching and researching and researching for a way to keep my hands dry and warm on my bicycle, specifically a Focus Aventura S10 (s-pedelec) with Ergo bar-end grips. The consensus is that a glove does not exist that will keep one's hands dry for 1+ hours in the driving rain. Since I commute about that long each way to work, and at speeds around 20+mph, there had to be another solution. Add to that, as a motorcyclist, I can appreciate the problem of "warm = bulky" when dealing with gloves, and a lack of brake and shifter feel on a bicycle is no different. So there had to be a better solution for those days getting below 50°F and with steady wind (wind chill is a real bummer). Then I remembered that on my first motorcycle, which had rear view mirrors up on stalks, that I used modified snowmobile bar mitts. They were wonderfully warm and perfectly dry, and allowed me to use lighter gloves. So it was I went looking for such a thing for cycling. I did find them, but the biggest drawback is California weather in the San Francisco Bay Area does not get quite cold enough for fleece bar mitts, and I don't passively ride my bike either, so I'm generating heat. Most bar mitts for cycling seemed to be aimed at Alaskans and Canadians. ;-p Took me a while, but I found the Bar Mitts brand, which had a lighter weight option which is simply neoprene without the fur/fleece. And as expected, once I got used to the "reaching for the controls blind," they have been wonderful. So far I've been down to 35°F with a lighter weight glove (Pearl Izumi Men's Cyclone Gel Glove) and not even a hint of cold. In fact, almost still too warm if the temps get above 55°F and they are on the bike. LOVE THEM! Why not five stars? To be fair, I only give five stars for "perfect" or "above and beyond" products. So... --As the Amazon.com question asked: How does the product fit? Somewhat small. The brake levers on my bike are slightly compressed by the addition of the mitts. That said, it isn't enough to engage the brakes, but I did have to be a little aware of this and get them mounted just right. --The part along the bars is very snug (small diameter), which means things like fork lockout switches, bells, etc. become unusable. Motorcycle- and snowmobile-style mitts tend to make the part on the handlebars more spacious, the cycling mitt makers could take a cue from those sports. --Modern bikes have alot of odd cabling going on at the brakes and shifters, and getting the cables exiting the mitts properly was awkward. Should be some better way to manage it, even though I can't think of one. That said, small issues and I still love these mitts. What a difference for cold or wet days!

This neoprene mits are heaven! It starts to be quite cold outside and I dont even need to use other gloves when its 6 degrees. Very waterproof and quick drying. Best quality for this money!

Works really well!
Put these on my Fat Bike for riding in snow. For the first time ever I can ride without my hands becoming painfully sore with cold. This isn't a scientific review obviously, but subjectively I guess they add around 10 degrees (Celsius) to your gloves effectiveness. So if you had gloves that were good down to say zero degrees, you can comfortably wear them down to -10 (or possibly -15) with the Bar Mitts in place. They mount on the handle bars well, no complaints there. The zips etc are a nice feature for warmer conditions. I got large and they are snug but OK, remember when ordering you have gloves or mitts on underneath and need the extra room. Worth the money IMHO. UPDATE: Two months later: Swear by these! They are amazing. They stay in position well, the warm is fantastic in the cold Ottawa climate. I haven't needed anything but cheap leather gloves when using these bar mitts to keep my hands warm even when its been below -10 Celsius.

easy to install
These bike handlebar mitts fit my XL Trek Verve +3 E bike. They allow easy access to the brakes and gear controls. This is a large sized frame and handlebars but the mitts are spacious enough for easy installation and access. They are made of the same black neoprene that I use in a wetsuit, so have reasonably good insulating properties. I deducted one star as only one mitt had a hole cut for the end of bar mirror. I had to use a sharp knife to cut a 1" hole in the other mitt. Small thing, but shows problems with QA.

Awesome except for one tiny thing.
Awesome. I rode around the neighbourhood using them tonight without gloves in 1-degree celsius weather and my hands were warm enough. Well...my left hand was. Both mitts can be used with bar-end mirrors but I only have a mirror on one side. There is a little flap of material that covers but doesn't seal the hole where the mirror is meant to go through. It's not quite enough as is. I may need to duct tape it or something. I noticed on their website that there are options to buy a set with 2 bar-end holes (1 on each mitt) or a set with 1 bar-end hole (1 mitt with a hole and 1 without). Wish that option had been available on Amazon too. I will update my review after we get some rain here and I've duct-taped the hole.
