Good for the price

I was skeptical at how inexpensive these were, but when i re-cabled my road bike, I was very pleasantly surprised at how smooth and light the shifting was. This seems like solid, no frills housing that is working well in the short term. I can not comment on durability, yet, but I fully expect it to last a "typical" amount for generic housing. There is contradictory information about whether it is 4mm or 5mm. It is, indeed, 4mm housing. 4 stars only because I do not know how durable it is...

Too good to be true

I decided to try this shift housing because it was inexpensive and it received a previous positive review. I was skeptical of its quality because of how cheap it was, about half the cost of SRAM. The product I received was 4mm outer diameter shift cable housing but the inner diameter (where you put the cable) was 1.6mm. The only shifters that use a 1.6mm cable are some random antiquated suntour products that rarely exist anymore. I can't understand why this was advertised as 1.2mm when my 1.6mm brake cable fit in Totally unacceptable all around. Also, the housing does not have a plastic liner meaning you would be running your cables through four feet of metal on metal contact. At least returning it wasn't hard.

Comparable to Jagwire basic LEX housing. It DOES contain the inner plastic/PTFE liner.

great housing

awesome housing so far, its the thin kind (4mm) and flexes well it IS teflon coated on the inside, so the shifting is smooth as butter
