Great value
No grater is easy to clean the inside, so this one is no different. The design is great. It's stable, wide enough, and versatile with four different sides. A great buy.

Perfect!
I buy everything that Americas Test kitchen recommends and this doesn’t disappoint! Wish I had bought it sooner…

Works well
My old box grater was getting a bit rickety, this replacement is sharp and sturdy. I'd recommend this item.

Top quality, built to last and stay sharp for years!
This is an excellent grater! I read many reviews for graters before I settled on this one. I received an EKCO grater as a wedding gift, and it lasted and was going strong for 15 years, that saying a lot considering I have a huge family (12 children) and we cook massive amounts of food When that grater began to get dull, I gave it away, to make sure I would buy myself a new one. Of course I purchased another EKCO grater because I had been so pleased with the former grater, only I bought the & newer model that was a little larger, sleeker in appearance and had a no slip grip and ring on it's base. The first time I used it it wasn't even as sharp as the one I had just given away. Within a month the handle had popped off the top, and I needed another one. So I thought; it must have been the new model, I'll get the original model again. So I bought another in the original model and it functioned only slightly better than the first. It was never very sharp and the plastic handle was much thinner and brittle, and cracked in half within a few months. I just continued to struggle with this one for 2 years because I couldn't find anything better and then got another. (Third time's a charm right?) This was no better than the other one, but since it was the best available in the stores in my area, i got it anyway. All the while bemoaning the fact that the Economy Kitchen Co (EKCO) quality had gone down so much. So two years later I moved and purchased this lovely grater from Cuisinart via Amazon, and boy am I ecstatic with it! I can honestly say that it appears to be more durable and better quality than the one I received for a wedding gift! The handle is very securely riveted on, not spot welded, it is a comfortable thick size, easy to grasp, non slip, and every side of the grater is super sharp!) I've grated raw potatoes and cheese, sliced carrots and zested limes and it's worked like a charm! I saw previous complaint about the no slip ring that fits around the bottom being unsanitary. It's poppycock! You simply remove the silicone ring after each use, and rinse it off like any other kitchen utensil and dry it before putting it back on. Easy peasy! I have already recommended this grater to a few people, and I highly recommend it to you! I'm editing my original review. I ordered this grater in April of 2016, it's now 11/13/18 it's been over 2.5 years of almost daily use and I couldn't be happier with this grater! It's still very sharp and sturdy. I accidentally melted the non slip ring around the bottom by setting it in a hot frying pan while I quickly grated something ???? I obviously wasn't thinking clearly. So I just tossed the ring in the trash because there was no fixing it.

Shredding should be easy...this is one of the best ways to make it so.
I had one of those stupid flat graters that never seems to work well, or at least it doesn't make it easy. This one makes it easy. Here is info about important uses of graters. Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using the entire lemon and nothing is wasted. How can you use the whole lemon without waste? Simple...Soak the citrus in White vinegar to remove pesticides. Let it soak for at least 15 minutes. place the washed lemon in the freezer section of your refrigerator. Once the lemon is frozen, get your grater, and shred the whole lemon (no need to peel it) and sprinkle it on top of your food. Why would you want to use the whole citrus fruit including the peel or rind? Most of us only think of lemon juice and vitamin C. But there is so much more nutritional value than that. Just a few ideas about what to use it on. Sprinkle it to your vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, cereals, noodles, spaghetti sauce, rice, sushi, fish dishes, whisky.... the list is endless. You can even use grated lemon in a cup of instant noodles and then they will have some nutritional value. You can eat the fruit in different ways: you can eat the pulp, juice press, prepare drinks, sorbets, pastries, etc... All of the foods will have an unexpectedly wonderful taste, something that you may have never tasted before. What's the major advantage of using the whole lemon other than preventing waste and adding new taste to your food? Lemon and other citrus peels contain as much as 5 to 10 times more vitamins than citrus juice itself. And yes, that's what you've been wasting. If you like me have only been using the juice. But from now on, by following this simple procedure of washing and then freezing the whole lemon, then grating it on top of your dishes, you can consume all of those nutrients and get even healthier. It is a fact that lemon and other citrus peels are beneficial in improving ones health because they help purge toxic naterials and even parasitic pathogens from your body. It is also known to be an effective anti-bacterial agent as well as being effective with fungi, as well as internal parasites and worms. It helps lower high blood pressure and helps combat stress and nervous disorders. It also resolves and eliminates phlegm, and mucus from the body. Lemon (and other citrus peel) has been shown to kill cancer cells. Some say it is more effective than chemotherapy. And even better not only does kill cancer cells, but it benefits the health of healthy cells. Why do we not know about that? Because there are laboratories interested in making a synthetic version that will bring them huge profits. So, give those lemons a good wash, freeze them and grate them. Your whole body will love you for it!!!!!

Good but there's better graters
I bought this for a quick and easy grater. I've come to give out there's a lot better equipment to do the job with less physical stress. Although this is a cheap and easy way I would advise buying one of the graters with rotating wheel

Nice features if you don't touch the graters
The grating parts are to be avoided. A catch-22. Still for an adult being very careful, it is pretty good

Good Quality Grater
I used to have a grater that requires a bowl below to support in order to work. With this box grater, I can either place it on a plate or on a chopping board, and food would be stored inside the grater. Easy to use and clean! However, I usually just use one ore two sides, with other sides seem to be not very suitable for my dishes. Holding it is easy, and it doesn't slide at all!

Sturdy handle.
Could be a bit bigger, but the handle is securely attached to the grater. I previously had a Kitchen-Aid grater and the handle fell apart.
