It could have been fun

Overall the set is decent, how ever the balls are where the issue is. The weight of these balls is drastically different. Enough so , that you can clearly tell when you throw them. It may sound petty , but trying to throw one ball that is 1/2 the weight or less than another ball of the same color adds an addition challenge, makes the game less fair for all players. String has also started to fray after playing 4 times, which seems very soon. Game is being played in a yard with grass.

Worth the money if you want a long-lasting set

I had played ladder toss about a year ago at a friends house and loved it! When summer came around, I got the itch to get my own set. I had done a lot of research into the matter because I wanted a set that would last a while. What I gathered is that the games that cost in the $20-$30 range were usually made of PVC. Depending on the design of the set, the ladders were very flimsy. They would fall over easily when you threw bolas at them and made consistent game play difficult. Another issue was that if the PVC sets were out in heat for too long, they would warp or melt. I dabbled with making my own set, but the cost would have been about the same and there was the risk of building it improperly. The next tier of games were in the $50-$75 range. These sets were made of metal or wood. I was hesitant at first to spend that much money but after reading the reviews the extra 20 or 30 I would put in compared to a PVC set seemed worth it. Being that it was made of metal, it would be much more durable when you threw bolas at them. The chance of them warping or melting was much less and it was easy to set up and breakdown. I've only had this set for about 3 months and have only played with 2 or 3 times but I absolutely love it. The set comes with a fabric bag to store all of the pieces in as well as instructions to put it together and how to play. The design is sleek, colorful, and elegant. Playing with it is a blast. You can tell that the designers took their time into crafting the set. Transporting and breaking down the set is a piece of cake. The only thing to watch out for is not to lose the knobs that tighten the rungs of the ladder. I do have a few issues with the set. They are few and easily overlooked. The set is difficult to set up with one person. It is hard to balance all the pieces and put them together with one person. However, when I had 1 or more people helping me, setting up went a lot easier. The only other thing is that the set comes with rubber bolas instead of the golf ball bolas but these are nice because when you throw them, you don't have to worry about injuring someone so you can really whip them at the ladder if you want. Overall, I thought it was a great buy when you think of the money you will spend versus the quality and longevity of the product you are getting. Therefore, I would recommend spending the extra 20-30 dollars on a set that will last if you are serious about using it again and again.

Very sturdy

I have had a plastic set of ladder ball in the past that was eventually destroyed by my kids. This seems far more sturdy and will hold up better.

Get it, but just know this…

The screw in knobs that hold the whole thing together slowly loosen up over time. So you constantly have to tighten them after pretty much each time of using it. Overall, it’s a pretty good product for the price. But maybe you should spend a little more and get the wood ones that seems to be put together better.

Great sturdy product

Made with all metal and is very rigid. My son had one that is made with plastic parts and does not seem as durable. Definitely pleased with our purchase.

Great customer service and set

We really liked this product. The ladders are well made and so easy to assemble and disassemble. It comes with a handy storage carrying case. The throwing balls were soft as described and perfect for adults and children. The only down side to this product was the balls losing a noticeable amount of sand after one weekend of play. This is why it received a 4 star duality and overall score, if the balls hadn't lost some sand it would have been 5 stars. The customer service was excellent. I emailed the company on Sunday and had a reply on Monday from Elijah and new balls on Thursday. I couldn't ask for anything better. I highly recommend this product.

Solid set

Nice carrying case makes easy to transport anywhere. Perfect balance of sturdy metal but not super heavy and difficult to carry. I had planned on building a set, but I think buying this set was the right choice!

Ropes fall apart/ free replacements ordered

Update: The customer service is sending us new the bolos and a magnet which we have misplaced. They’ve been super easy to work with and quick to respond to my emails. I purchased this in August and it worked well. No issues at all. It was super easy to assemble. Kids played it in July, then we didn't play much until late in September . The white ropes disintegrated in the meantime, while being store away in the bag, not even in the direct sunlight. Kids started throwing them and they just fell apart. It’s a very fine and soft nylon rope. So disappointing. I’m going to write to the company for more durable replacement.

Great Quality and Reliable Set!!!

July 2017 Update - I previously rated this product 5 stars upon receiving it and using it once. After only a few uses since then, I noticed the bolas were leaking. I'm disappointed that after only 3 total uses (ranging from 1-3 hours each), the bolas are leaking. If inserting some silicone doesn't work to try to stop the sand/silica from escaping, I'll have to spend more money either making my own or buying replacement ones. The ladder itself is great, sturdy and easy to assemble. The bolas are definitely a disappointment though. Bought this premium/metal set as I preferred to spend a little extra money to get a set that would be reliable and wouldn't have the issues the lower end models would have and I am very happy with it. Very quick and easy assembly - was playing within 10 minutes of opening the box. Comes with a great carrying case. Most importantly, I used this set for an hour or two with friends and found it to be great. It was heavy enough to stay put when playing (at roughly 25 feet apart per the instructions that came with it) but is light enough to easily carry around in its bag. Absolutely no issues with any rods coming loose or either ladder falling over/moving significantly. In the run of an hour or two of playing a ladder may have moved an inch or two but that's par for the course. I love this set, am very happy with it and foresee playing with it for years to come. Would be nice if it had a score keeper on it but I still give it 5 stars - you can't go wrong with this set.

EXCELLENT

We purchased this game for our son. The whole family plays almost daily! This set is sturdy, very well made and easy to set up and store in the handy bag that came with the game. The bag is great for travel as well. We have purchased other brands of this game in the past, and they just don't compare to the GoSports brand. VERY HAPPY with this purchase and would highly recommend it!

Great game

This ladder golf game is great!! I've bought a couple plastic ones, including a PVC strength one and neither lasted more than one summer. This one is easy to set up and seems like it will last. It is a bit light though so moves a bit when the bolo balls hit it. Well worth the extra money.

Metal frame is great but one suggestion....

We love this product, and have played it multiple times in the 2 weeks we have had it! Easy to set up, like less then 10 minutes with clear directions. Love that it is metal and has a scoring board built into the game itself. Makes it super easy to keep track when you have had a few drinks. Shipping and delivery was fast. The only reason I am rating 4/5, is the fact that now that we have played it several times, we have noticed the sand inside the balls gets less and less with every play. So I did order another set of balls on ropes that actual golf balls so we don't run into this problem again. So my only suggestion. For people buying this game is RUN DON'T WALK, the higher price is worth the metal frame over the plastic and before you play seal the opening where the ball and rope meet with caulking or glue to prevent sand loss.
