It's a good thing, but it does have some drawbacks.

It's not a terrible product, but the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Face Cream could use some improvements. I wanted to see how well the face cream and body lotion would complement one another, so I bought them together as a set. It came as no surprise that they appeared to be almost the same color, but the face cream most certainly calls for a little bit more, and if you don't use enough of it, your face will look noticeably paler in comparison to the rest of your body. The area around the neck also needs less due to shadows; otherwise, the proportion of your face to the neck will be completely off. The fragrance isn't particularly pleasant, and while I didn't struggle with it in any significant way, I also couldn't say that I was overly pleased with it either. It does stay on for a while and doesn't go on or come off splotchy really at all (based on my personal experience; I moisturize daily with a lotion and exfoliate whenever I use a tanner), but the color! The color really isn't that appealing. It does not have a very natural appearance and has more of an orange than a brown tint to it. It's possible that it simply did not satisfy my undertone needs, but I really did not see this having any good undertones; the lotion or cream is just a pure white color. It also goes on pretty clear, but I was really hoping to see either red or green undertones as it was setting, but I didn't see either of those colors. Due to the fragrance and the color, I would give it a total of three stars. The bottle was also quite small, but considering how little you actually need, it was fine. The packaging appeared to be of high quality.

Gradual, authentic-looking face tan

Am pleased with St.Tropez Gradual Tan Face Cream. It goes on smoothly and it's easy to control the depth of tanning, Would prefer not to have coconut smell.

Smells so bad!

They get one star because it doesn't say "moisturizing". Face creams should be moisturizing. It was actually drying!! Like it sucked the moisture from my face. If you're sensitive to smells, this is terrible!! I kept waiting for the smell to wear off, but it never did!! Sad!

Not the same as previous product

The company has changed the formula for the gradual face cream. The old cream came in two shades and was a thicker and more moisturizing cream. I am disappointed. It does not give me a tan since I have olive skin and is too dry

Doesn’t tan my face

I use this daily. Doesn’t work as good as their other tanner. I can’t tell if it works at all

Amazing moisturiser with a subtle glow

I bought this for the first time as I couldn’t find my usual St Tropez daily face moisturiser online, so decided to try this one. Well I am so glad I did and will be buying this from now on. I have just saw my reflection in the mirror after only applying few hours ago and I can see a difference. My skin looks smoother and has a lovely healthy glow, not that fake tan look that I don’t like, but just a nice healthy glow from being really pale. The crows feet around my eyes look less visible too. I cannot believe the results in such a short space of time. The downside is that the perfume smell when first applied is quite strong, but after a while that disappears also I don’t think for me that it moisturises my skin enough, so I applied my usual SPF moisturiser after applying the St Tropez, so not only do I have smooth glowing skin, I also have SPF protection. I do not feel as though I have anything heavy on my skin, it feels really light and nicely moisturised even after applying the St Tropez and the SPF. Big thumbs up from me. ????????

Excellent under make up base

I use this twice a day . It gives a very natural healthy looking glow. I used to use the old version which has been discontinued. Unfortunately it is not as easy to rub in as the old version and the smell is awful. More expensive as well but despite this it is still a great product.

Nothing like as good as the previous version

This is nowhere near as good as the previous version of this product. The recipe must’ve changed significantly as it’s hard to rub it in, it goes very white and takes more effort whereas previously it’s rubbed in straight away. Additionally, the scent is horrendous. Smells very plasticky

Looks good but makes my skin dry

I like it, but I don’t love it. The tan builds slowly to give a subtle effect day on day, so you can just stop for a while once you’re happy with your colour. I like the colour it creates, browny golden rather than orangey. I don’t find it any hassle to use and there is minimal, to no discernible smell. Despite it being a white cream with no guide colour it seems to be easy to spread evenly as I don’t end up with a streaky or patchy effect in the morning. It lasts for a few days before you need to start topping up again. The main thing I don’t like is that it makes my skin dry, so I need a richer moisturiser during the day if using this at night. I have slightly oily skin, which is never normally dry at all. I don’t believe the anti-aging effects whatsoever, since anything that makes my skin dry automatically makes it looks older and less supple in the short term, and therefore is hardly going to have long term benefits. I have no major issue with using this but I wouldn’t buy it for myself. I’d opt for a cheaper product without the anti aging claims. I hope you found my review helpful :)
