Not Recommended For Airsoft Masks

I bought this for my airsoft mask (tac helmet + eye & face mask). It didn't work for me at all. During normal play (higher humidity) it had small amounts of fog. We then had rain and I was completely fogged over and couldn't see anything. I tried re-applying halfway through the games and it still did nothing. If your airsoft mask is mostly closed off and you sweat a lot this solution is not going to help and will be a waster of money. Before I buy a different mask setup, I'm going to try and vent & increase airflow into my mask to reduce the humidity/fog. I think that is probably a better solution. Overall, I still give this 3-stars because I was not using it for it's intended purpose (diving) and it might work well for that as other reviewers have said. But, for my mask purposes it was a dud.

I’m still getting used to how to use this product, but it works great for eliminating any fog. The directions state to put the gel on your lens when it’s dry, and rub it around, then let it dry. After it’s dry you rinse off the residue but it can be hard to get the residue off. If you don’t remove all the residue you’ll be looking through a bit of a haze while diving. Just make sure you put it on when your mask is dry, and rinse it off adequately

but am pretty decent swimming in the ocean

So I bought this anti fog gel for a recent trip to Maui. I am not a very experienced snorkeler, but am pretty decent swimming in the ocean. all the other times I have tried snorkeling fog in my goggles was what plagued me the most. It is such a hassle to constantly have to surface and clean the fog off of your lenses. by the time you do all the ocean life you were following has since passed. Then I was reading on a blog about anti fog techniques. Spit on the lenses, Yuck, plus i had tried that and it didn't last all that long. I read a review on M Essentials Sea Gold. I figured I'd give it a try. Wow what a difference. the beach we were staying at had pretty good snorkeling around the point, and so i was able to go out most mornings and wanted to stay in for at least 45 mins this stuff was fantastic! once applied you can dive as long as you want and never worry a bit about your goggles fogging up. The bottle says do not get in contact with eyes. I never had any issues with it. My goggles got some water in them several times and i had no issues with it stinging my eyes or anything. All in all I gave this product five stars as it was great and it totally changed my snorkeling experience for the better

Gel Film/Residue Does Not Wash Off. Can’t see clearly.

I watched countless YouTube videos to understand the prep, application and rinse process for applying this gel to a scuba mask. I don’t get how there are so many good reviews. The gel leaves a residue/film all over the lens despite 2, 3, 4 rinses or dunks in fresh water. Super frustrating to have a blotchy gel film all over the lens, which makes it difficult to clearly see on a dive. Before the gel was applied I also did about 6-8 rounds of the Sea Buff to remove the silicone film because it was a new mask. At the end of the day, I just went back to spitting in my mask before a dive and that worked wonderfully better then several attempts of applying the Sea gel product. Also, to clarify, I did not put an excessive amount of gel on my lenses. I used the directed amount and even went a step further to use less than what they instruct you to do to see if that helped rinse away the gel gum for clear vision. Did not work. I do not recommend this product by any means.

Helps with cold weather fog prevention but not perfect

I purchased this for sun glasses and some narrow height ski/snowboard goggles, both of which I bought to wear cross country skiing. I realize cold weather fogging is not the intended purpose of this product. This product all but eliminated fogging on the sun glasses which without a fog prevention coating become unusable within 10 minutes. The cheap ski/snowboard gogglesfogged immediately without a fog prevention coating (tried them at least twice and they fogged in the first couple of minutes in previous outings). With Sea Gold I was able to wear the goggles for 15-20 minutes before they formed enough moisture to make me give up. So using this product on some really poorly designed cheap goggles helped but did not solve the fogging problem with them. I may try yet another product but at least this worked well enough on the sun glasses.

The only anti-fog stuff I've used that actually works

I do use this stuff for my scuba mask. I've also found it useful for my bicycle glasses and swim goggles too. I'm a bicycle commuter so when it's cold outside and I start working up a sweat, my glasses get all fogged up. One coating of this stuff works for about 2-3 days. 4 times a week I ride my bicycle to the pool and swim laps. If I put my goggles on after riding, they fog up right away. This gel prevents that fog too. Why only 4 out of 5 stars then? It seems to me that they could make something that lasts more than just one dive, or two or three bike rides. How about a gel that lasts a couple weeks or a month? Other that that one gripe, this stuff is great.

fantastic product

used several years and always works great, have had others but none compare with this product, no matter what the temp of the water is or how long we snorkel sometimes nearly two hours it always keeps the mask crystal clear. What more could you ask for

Didn't work

I tried this and it just didn't work on my mask, I tried 3 times and no luck so I was given a few drops of another brand and BOOM worked first time
