Good and no so good.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for a young child. The product in the description was not what showed up. Unfortunately, the product showed up and wrapped immediately so inspection did not happen. The punching bag is red and black instead of the pictured grey and black. The gloves are not MMA gloves but cheap boxing gloves. I feel I was sent the wrong product BUT on the bright side what was delivered was a total hit with the kids AND the expected delivery was to be after Christmas but showed before Christmas.

Decent

Easy to assemble, not built all that good. Probably won't hold up to too much use.

speed bag

putting together was very easy. water in base seemed to hold it in place fairly well sand would no doubt be better. seems to be a problem with bag connection to rod. nut inside rod is not secured and seems to be a weak point. doubt it lasts 6 months with grandson only getting over to use it a couple times a month.

"Youth" as in very young!

"YOUTH "as regards this product refers to ages 4-7 years old . We needed the adult version which is well made and durable as long as you do not punish the bag. The return feature of the product allows for a good light workout. A good value!

The box had it's own fight

Like the product don't know how it will work as it is a Christmas gift. However the packing was not thought out. The box is not made to withstand the the rigor of the mailing system with heavy boxes being thrown on top. The box was crushed on both ends. However, all contents were in place and in tact.

Broke in 3 days and cuts knuckles open

The assembly that holds the bag detached from the pole on the 3rd day of 'light' use by kids. The assembly is held in place with a simple crimp on the pole. I should be welded to the pole not crimped. Fortunately, it happend within the 60 day warranty (from purchase date) and I filed the paperwork with Franklin for a replacement pole. We'll see if we get it and how long it lasts. Other issue... If you accidentally punch the too low on the bag without the protective gloves the hard plastic rim around the bag will cut your knuckles open, as it did my daughters. Why wouldn't the rim of the bag holder be rounded, not sharp edged? Franklin gave this product little thought.

nice

the tallest height is pretty short had it for less than a month & where the ball part screws into the post is already bending from a 12yr old using it. I do like the spring in the post when its hit it swings & my son likes it

Poor quality

I bought this set as a present for my 12 year old son. The set was easy to assemble however, the bag would not stay on the stand. Each time the bag was hit, it would fly off. Also, the gloves that came with it were a bit too small (my son is of average size) and while he could put them on, it was a struggle to remove them. This set would be more appropriate for a younger child, however with the bag not being able to be secured on the stand, I would not recommend it at all.
