I finally got a good one.

I’ve ordered this bag a couple times , in a couple different sizes and in the past there has always been a problem , whether it’s the bag being an awkward shape or sewn wrong. I’ve had some that have had other issues but this one is near perfect. I got the medium size this time and it’s shaped good, sewn good and it’s fast for a bigger bag. They say it’s a 7x10 but I would consider the medium closer to a typical 6x9. The 6x9 is more like a 5x8 and the 5x8 is more like a 4x7. This one I got has a nice orange latex bladder built in, the leather is soft and as I mentioned, it moves and bounces very good , not only for its size but for any size. I can’t promise they will all be this good because they clearly have some quality control issues but Amazon has a great return policy so they will make sure you get a good one eventually.

Heavy duty leather. Well made. (10x7)

This thing is heavy duty. Thick leather and made balanced. Nicer then the others for around $30. Didn't have a problem with the bladder like others have said. It was a little harder getting the needle in then the other bags I have tried. I got the medium. Since the leather is so thick its a little slower but has good control, the seems don't protrude as much as another bag so its a little more stable. So in a nut shell this is heavy leather, well made, good control and not as fast as lighter bags. Update 1: A day after I gave the 4 star review above the thing went soft. So it stays aired up for about a day. Not good. All my other bags stay up for much longer. You would think they would get better bladders. Plus its hard to contact them for a replacement bladder. Its like their contact info is hidden. If they send another bladder that holds up I will change my review rating back to 4. Update 2: Got the new bladder from them and it holds air fine, so as promised I am giving it 4 stars again. Its a nice leather bag, heavy and not real fast but works fine. Any bag this size will only go so fast anyway, get the small for faster speed. I had to contact the company through their website, send them a screen shot of my order and then they promptly sent a replacement. The lady was friendly who handled it. Update 3: Got another small version (6x9). So far its faster and holds air, at least for a day. It works great but is a little misshaped. They cut the white leather a little off but it doesn't seem to affect the performance. I will update if it doesn't hold air.

A quality Ringside speed bag that looks and performs great.

This is for the 5x8 version of this bag. Looks: A great looking bag. The leather looks great, the color scheme lets you know its a Ringside bag immediately. The laces are decent and the label on this bag is understated. Ringside makes great equipment and this bag shows that. It is a banana type bag, but that shape seems to be more popular today. Leather: This bag is made of good leather. It is not premium but it is pretty nice. I do have an older 6x9 version of this bag and the leather did start to develop some cracking. But that bag was used in a gym by a lot of people and was left outside in hot and humid weather. I hope it was poor treatment that caused the premature aging of the leather. Performance: This is a fast bag just like all Ringside bags that I have hit on. When inflated to 3.5 to 4 PSI this bag can fly. In my opinion the light weight leather construction and the bladder are what make these bags fly. Being a banana type bag and the smallest size, this bag can be difficult to hit on when trying to do anything other than the boxer triplet rhythm. Beginners should use a 6x9 or larger size. Experienced users will find this a good challenge, but will love it when they master it due to the amount of speed you can get while not having to hit real hard. Overall: A quality bag with good leather. You will be able to fly with this bag doing a boxer triplet style.

very nice bag (sort of)

First of all it took 9 days for this bag to show up and 3-5 days was advertised. Annoying, but not that big of a deal. It shows up and its beautiful. The leather is supple, the stitching is sturdy, the lacing is good, its very small. So i set it up and have at it. i have been hitting speed bags for over 10 years and i have had at least 10 different speed bags and this is the fastest most balanced bag that i have had. After hitting the crap out of it for about half an hour (and thoroughly annoying my wife) i let it be. I came back about 2 hours later and the bag is flat! just got it today and i already need a new bladder, its a slow leak so it could be worse, but its really frustrating that i had to wait all this time and now i have to replace the bladder. i would recommend the bag to some one who is serious at hitting the speed bag and has experience, but i would also recommend that you order a new bladder with it. UPDATE: I ordered a replacement bladder from the same seller, and it was cheap and showed up very quickly it was easy to replace and is not leaking.

This is a slower bag than the cheaper Ringside bags

I have bought a few of the cheaper Ringside speed bags and have been very happy with them. This bag is much slower on the rebound which makes me have to hit it almost twice as hard to get it up to the same speed as one of the cheaper bags. At first I thought this was a problem, but after hitting the bag for about 10 minutes I was twice as tired. So to increase my workout, I hit one of the faster bags for about 15 minutes then switch to this one for another 15 and I am getting a better workout. I wouldn't want this as my only bag but it's nice to switch them out.

Nice bag, very soft leather

Nice bag, very soft leather, nice stitching and great looking colors. Two issues I have. First, the original bag I received would not hold air. Went flat in 24 hours. Amazon replaced it and the second one is good. Been fully inflated now for over a month. Second issue is the Ringside label. Rough on your hands and really not necessary and would have been better to just print Ringside directly onto the bag over stitching a course label on it.

fast as hell

Luv this bag. I swapped out a 7 by 10 in Rival speed bag for the 5 by 8 Ringside. The Rival 7 by 10 was a dog. very little rebound activity on my professional grade solid oak barrel IBF industrial steel grade platform I bought at clinchsports.com out of Edmonton (that IBF platform may be the best bang for the buck at $170 CDN). At first I thought it was the platform-but that perception quickly changed when i swapped out the Rival which was brand new-for this Ringside 5 by 8. It changed the platform instantly-to a professional gym set up. True rebound action-accurate in any plane off the barrel-and fast like crazy-using the Everlast Pro Speed Swivel purchased off of Amazon I am going to switch out the UHook Swivel for the Forza S Hook/Ball Swivel by year end after I perfect my combos on the U hook on this smaller bag first as going to the Forza Swivel will be the next step in my training to "bible bagger" status lol. Definitely a quality product-( I have swapped out the chain link swivel the platform came with cuz its to hard to switch out different bags on that type of swivel compared to the UHook).had it for appx 2 weeks now and put in possibly 6 total hours on it in that time frame-and it has only had to have two short pumps on the pump gun to add some air and given how hard I was working the bag? that's not to shabby. I can do machine gun (hand rolls) on this bag much better than on the Rival 7 by 10 which is definitely a bag for the beginner and I should have known better ordering it off the Rival site but their 9 by 6 was sold out. This 5 by 8 Ringside is a keeper. We have a 9 by 6 older Ringside bag in my ITC gym and it gets pounded on literally-on an Everlast adjustable platform by a few other bag guys (Seun) and the bladder there has held up so when i read the reviews criticizing the Ringside speed bag bladders? Not so in my experience. One thing to note. You better order a pair of RDX Tae Kwon Do or MMA Grapplin/sparring type light gloves to use on this bag when its new-as the leather is top quality-not to thick like the Rival brand-or to thin-its just right in its thickness but if you get addicted to the speed bag rhythm like many of us who practice the science of boxing are and hear that 3 count of the bag off the barrel to put you to sleep vs counting sheep? you will find the skin on the back of your knuckles including your thumb knuckle peeling off from hitting this bag as the movement it provides on a good quality platform is that much fun even if having 180 in boxing hand wraps on-cuz the back of your hands will show small tears on the striking points from feeding the speed bag addiction to the sound of a quality platform rhythm hitting a quality leather bag lol :-) Note: this bag is not for the beginner. you need to be able to hit proficiently on even the basic 3 count rhythm on a 6 by 9 in speed bag or its movement on the 5 by 8 if you cannot perform that basic speed bag combo with control and at speed and keep the bag rhythm uninterrupted for appx 3 continuous minutes? It will be to advanced for you. If you are at the intermediate level? it takes maybe 5 to 10 min working the bag to get used to the smaller size and quicker movement off the barrel. Came in the time frame Amazon stated as the items delivery date. Great tracking of the package once it left its point of origin. Great Job Amazon!

Well made bag but it really is too small unless you have a perfect platform.

I feel bad that I had to return it as it's obviously a well-made product although it really needs a very substantive platform for it to work as desired as although it's very small it is still a bit heavy and not super bouncy when compared to a fully synthetic bag.

Bag is good enough. I have it in my garage outside and the bag loses air likely due to the wide temperature swings in my climate. I would buy again for sure.

VERY NICE BAG, I ALSO HAVE the DOUBLE END BAG.

HERE'S MY SETUP , BUILT MY OWN DRUM and SWIVEL. TOTAL SWIVEL LENGTH to BOTTOM of SHACKLE is 2 1/4 " . BAGS DON'T HANG DOWN VERY LOW, CREATES FOR FASTER ACTION.
