Actually happy with it.

I purchased this knowing it wouldn’t shoot out real baseballs and after reading some reviews we decided to buy this for our 7 year old son since he’s just learning. We knew there would be inconsistencies but it’s very inconsistent which isn’t a horrible thing as just using it an hour in it is already teaching my son what pitches not to swing at. My biggest thing with the inconsistencies I’ve noticed is one pitch is right over the plate and the next smacked him right in the face then the next went well on the other side. He cried a little more from being stunned when hit but it didn’t actually hurt him so that’s also a plus. He’s already hit multiple balls really well and no damage to the balls which I’m happy about. In order to get the pitches to be more at in the strike zone we did have to put it on a bucket but it will still shoot really high or low. But again it does teach him what not to swing at. I haven’t had much of an issue with it moving after pitches as I’ve read. Putting it together wasn’t to bad and it does have a cheap look to it but it does shoot out well for the most part. We did have an issue with a ball getting caught up once and it really wasn’t hard to fix. I’m giving it 4 stars cause the inconsistency can be pretty crazy but it’s not enough for us to not enjoy. Overall we are very happy and our son absolutely loves it and is not only already learning what to watch for and improving in batting but also gaining more much needed confidence.

Don’t let the plastic fool you!

I pondered ordering this plastic pitching machine.I read the reviews and thought what the heck so I ordered it. I bought it for our 8 year old son. Bought it to help him with batting. Never entered my mind this works helping with his catching as well. His older brother’s and sister love it too. Nice seeing them all out in the backyard playing together. That right there is worth more than this cost. I HOWEVER WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR KIDS THAT ARE ROUGH ON THINGS. It is plastic however I believe it will last for a while. If something happens to it I would order another right away.

Me and My Kids Love It

Read some reviews from amazon users stating it either wouldn't work or worked only for a couple of tries. Well we ran it for 2hrs straight with no issues. Easy setup and operation... I think its more than worth the money.

Fun for the kids

Not for halfway serious baseball training but still fun.

First the Bad: Only goes about 10-15 ft of using off the ground. You will need to prop it up to get much farther. Putting it on a 5gallon bucket and no wind at all you can get it maybe 20ft the slightest breeze will dramatically change the path of flight. Speed and weight of the balls isn't enough to overcome that limitation. Even with no wind it still isn't consistent but that is not a bad thing as they'll need to learn to adjust and recognize locations. No good for machine pitch training no good for coach player training. Needs more speed/distance to make it worth it. No amount of adjusting the angle seems to help The Good: Fielder training is pretty good for popups or line drives when putting on a table or even a 5 gallon bucket. even with the lower distance it helps reaction time. The balls themselves are pretty decent. My swing on them haven't dented one yet. I bought and extra pack of balls to keep the balls from going to far. when pitched by a person they work pretty good. the balls also don't hurt except in some.. um.. sensitive locations If using in side it wouldn't be too bad for hitting. and since the balls are plastic,less chance of serious damage but still wouldn't suggest doing it where there are breakables. The price. Great price and good starter to see if a better machine will be beneficial. Conclusion. It is fun but very frustrating if trying to use it as a pitching machine. about worth it for the price. Still 4 star because i didn't expect it to be perfect at this price.

Wanted to love it

For pop flys it’s great. Doesn’t accurately pitch the ball. Wind catches it . Battery runs dead fast, doesn’t plug in.

Nephew Enjoys

My 4 year old nephew loves this item. It could be more accurate but I also understand what I was purchasing. It it has the ability to stake into the ground I would give this a 5/5. The biggest issue is the machine moving after it pitches the ball. It is helping to yeah my nephew the game of baseball and balls v strikes so I’m overall very pleased.

Corgi’s favorite toy

I got this for my dog. Instead of throwing it, I can just put it in this and it’ll launch it for me perfectly every time . He gets excited when I set it up for him to get all of his energy out. My tip is train your dog to stand to the side of it because it will go straight into his/ her face. My dog hasn’t gotten serious hurt from it but has gotten hit in the face. I can imagine it would hurt so yourself from the guilt and teach the dog to stand to the side.

So. Much. Fun.

So much fun! Got this for my 6 year old nephew and it had all the kids outside(and a few adults) testing it out. I agree with a few of the reviews that if there is wind it does affect as the balls are light weight it, but there was a breeze when we were using it and it still worked great. We had to of been out there for a few hours and you could tell the batteries were starting to lose some power, but was still kicking. It is unfortunate the size of battery it uses, but I bought the off brand battery at Walmart and it was $14 for 12 batteries, so that’s not too bad! Safety Tips: just don’t let them look directly into the machine and you should be fine haha. It does shoot them out pretty fast and a few kids got hit but there were no tears. Overall this thing was so great and a great tool to help kids with their game. Easy to put together, and the price is right. Get it!

It is a toy pitching machine

Bought this for our 8 year old grandson. Great item for first step after t-ball. Works great for a child's ability to see the ball without the fear of a pitching machine. Used it to hit balls with a plastic bats. Used it for pitching pop ups for catching fly balls. Great little machine for all kinds of baseball drills where you don't have to hit the ball. Cons sometimes two balls drop at a time when it's loaded so we usually only drop one ball at a time. Will only pitch a ball about 30 ft at maximum.

Great toy

Much better than expected with regard to how fast and strong each pitch is. Wasn’t sure if it would be too childish for my ten year old girl that just fished her first season of baseball. She enjoys it very much. It does eat up batteries fast though and it goes through spurts where the pitch isn’t accurate. But overall a great buy for the price.
