Rainy day fun….but not worth a price of over $30….

I received this item two days ago, I bought it with plans to hang on the back of our front door, and to let my kids use this over our Easter break from school. I knew the forecast was for substantial rain, and during those days we always count on our indoor activities. I will say that my kids really liked this, and the Velcro on both the balls provided and the target were extra super sticky, so we had no problem with that part, in fact this was one of the best parts about the item. However, one target had a black mark on it, which I initially thought was fuzz or hair, but when I inspected closer I found that it was a black marker mark. Also, sadly, the hardware (plastic-ware) included, will not fit any thicker doors, just more slender doors, so it wouldn’t work on our front door-back, where we initially wanted to use it. However, thankfullly it included a big enough material loop at the top, that I could hang it off of a nail on our playroom wall. Overall, it occupied my kids, but looks like it will probably stay kinda folded up looking for a while, (from shipment and packaging), and it didn’t occupy my kids as long as I would have preferred for the price. Also, at that price point and being MLB labeled, I was more sad to see the black mark on the target as well. Overall, it’s a cool item, a decent gift, but not something I would personally pay the retail price for. Still, I can see it being a neat gift for a baseball loving adult man for a man cave or office and even for baseball loving children, or those who just would enjoy trying to land the ball on the targets. The kids this was purchased for are 8, 6, and 4. If you were to ask their opinion, I’m sure they would likely say they would purchase again. So while my experience was a little less than I would like, this item had some redeeming features. It would have been five stars if the door hook would have been more versatile and if my target didn’t have a permanent mark on it. The item was made very well, and it was straightforward as advertised. I suppose others may feel the added cost is appropriate for the MLB labeling, but we personally don’t put much into that. Wouldn’t purchase again for myself, but I believe I would roll the dice again as a gift for a baseball loving friend, or child.

Easy and Fun Game!

I ordered this to take on a ski trip with my friends - I figured it would be an easy way to pass time while at the cabin. I know this product is technically for kids, but my friends and I (25+ years old) all had a lot of fun playing this! It was a little odd that the game did not have a "strike" target to aim at, but we made it work. The only thing to note is that the balls stick really well to the targets and the sewing on the balls is not the sturdiest, so the stitching comes apart after a couple of rounds. We played even with the balls coming apart and it was still fine though!

Room for Improvement

The fabric is premium and feels tear resistant, the areas you throw the ball to are extremely adhesive, takes a lot of force to separate them. The part that could improve is definitely the cheap plastic poles and hook to the door, they are just too flimsy and not durable, it also hangs the catcher too high. They should have an area labeled strike instead of everything being a hit so that kids have something to strive for. Overall, it's fun, but can use modifications, like a stronger hanger or a longer rope so it hangs lower, I don't mind the 2 plastic poles used to make it stable. If it was half the price, you could deal with those shortcomings, but for this price, you would expect more, especially because Franklin typically makes great products. I like that it is super sticky, much better than the alternative of throwing the ball and it just falling. Overall, a really god product with room for improvement.

Nice gift for yourself

This toy is well made and a large size- it covers the top half of my bedroom door. Velcro is sticky. I think the balls will pull from the Velcro with use but that is to be expected. It comes folded so it takes a few days for the folds to fall out but they do eventually if you leave it hanging up. It doesn’t look great when you pull it out of the package due to this. Fun to practice aim.

Very fun baseball pitching target game...

THE GOOD: --------------- * You get a 36x24 banner with the velcro targets. * Banner is stabilized by top and bottom plastic poles. * There is also an over the door plastic hook. * You get 3 soft baseballs that will cling very tightly to the velcro targets. * Super fun. * Nice retail box, so it's very giftable. THE BAD: ------------- * Feels cheap. I was surprised at how light the entire box was. Turns out it's light because banner is thin windbreaker type material, and accessories are plastic. But it's a Franklin brand, and an officially licensed product. I'll go 4-Stars.

Great gift for boys birthday

I got this for my son's kid hopefully he will have fun with it on days he can't go outside or is just bored may help him with his aim or just get his frustrations out without breaking things.

Fun indoor game for young baseball enthusiasts!

Got for my 8 year old nephew to be able to practice his pitching and throwing indoors. He has been playing baseball for a few years now and is really growing to love and excel at the sport, so I thought this would be nice for him for non-practice days or rainy days when he’s stuck inside. He had a lot of fun aiming for the labeled areas on the target and challenging his sister and mom.
