Did its job

It's hard for me to give a well rounded review on a product that you don't notice until it breaks, but i'll do my best. Installation was really easy, and I liked the fact that it is black, rather than the chrome color that came stock on my Guardian. Unfortunately, I can't really judge the durability too well, because during my first ride after installing it, I took a pretty hard crash (hard enough to break my wrist), and it bent the hanger. Managed to bend it back enough trailside to get back home. I messed with it later and I was able to get it pretty straight, so it wasn't causing issues with shifting anymore. I went ahead and ordered another one to install, and ill keep the 1st one with me on future rides as a backup. Overall, I suppose it did its job and protected my frame, but since it bent on such a hard crash, I have no idea if it is too easily bent.

Solid Replacement Piece So Far

The hanger that came on my GT Agressor Pro broke from getting hit by a rock while riding so I got this replacement despite a small amount of people having issues with it. It seems sturdy enough after a few rides on regular terrain and some mountain biking it's worked well.

Great quality for an awesome price.

I bought a GT aggressor pro and within a week I broke the stock bracket. I was able to find this one and have been riding it for a couple of weeks and so far it's been holding up great.

Great for our GT mountain bikes

We have several GT mountain bikes - Karakoram, Aggressor and Avalanche. This hanger (comes with the screw) fits all of them. I had to replace the one on the Avalanche and this was perfect. Now I know what to get if needed for the other bikes. Fyi, I recommend that you screw the hanger onto the derailleur first, then onto the frame. It's easier this way and avoids the possibility of misaligning threads.

Looks to be better than OEM

This bracket looks to be machined from billet aluminum, as opposed to the die cast nonsense that Santa originally put on the bike (GT Aggressor Pro). So my rating for durability is more of a hope than a reality... only time will tell.

Derailleur works great and is direct replacement for the weak stock one

Bought this derailleur hanger after searching the internet for a replacement for my Airborne Guardian 2.0. I found a forum that referenced to this hanger on another website for a bit more, bought this with Prime and had it the next day. Derailleur works great and is direct replacement for the weak stock one. Will absolutely buy another to keep as backup, don't want to have to push my bike 12+ miles ever again. :) 11-5-15 UPDATE: Just had to order another one of these after it broke on a difficult local trail. It's been 7 short months of use and I don't even abuse my bike too much. 7 months of AZ Phoenix riding should not destroy one of these hangers period. I may have to find someone else to make a stronger one. If you have one break on a big descent trail, as mine did on National, hopefully you can coast down by removing the chain and using some zips like in the photo! Changing my rating to a 3.

Park tool DAG-2.2 a necessity

Bought one to replace a broken hanger on my Airborne Goblin and one as a backup to that. Nothing worst than having to carry your bike 5 miles back to your car after a hanger breaks.. Just want to clarify most of these reviews.. the hanger is DESIGNED TO BREAK. It prevents the frames from being damaged. So yes it sucks when it happens but it's a hell of a lot better than having to replace your frame. Last thing - these are never perfectly aligned after installation and you may have trouble getting the rear derailleur to be quiet and index at 100% efficiency. Look into buying a Park Tool DAG-2.2 to align this

Good value

The derailer fit and is doing the job. Kids ride their bikes hard. Our original broke after a not very hard crash. This one seems to be holding up to the boy abuse better. Good value.
